Cecilia Lynch looked at Mrs. Keaton, unsure about what the excessive matter she was referring to was.

"Everyone has their place." Mrs. Keaton said with a harsh tone, "What qualifications does a beggar have to become a billionaire? People would laugh!"

"There’s nothing wrong with beggars earning their own living!" Cecilia raised her voice, "Auntie, I think we have nothing more to talk about! I won’t leave Julian, nor will I harm Evelyn. If you want to do anything to me, suit yourself!"

As she spoke, she was about to leave.

"How could I possibly do anything to you? Julian would protect you!" Mrs. Keaton sneered, "But I just might... do something to your mother."

"Auntie!" Cecilia was shocked.

Mrs. Keaton met Cecilia’s gaze, "I think your mother and I are the same age, she should understand my pains as a mother."

Cecilia stared at Mrs. Keaton in disbelief; the Keaton Family had once again shattered her worldview.

"I haven’t shut you out from entering the Keaton Family." Mrs. Keaton softened her tone, "As long as you ensure Evelyn Morgan and Caden Lockwood successfully divorce, the doors of this family will immediately open for you, and I will happily accept you as my daughter-in-law."

Cecilia stood there without saying a word.

She was about to be driven mad by Mrs. Keaton.

She wanted to be with Julian, she really did.

After speaking, Mrs. Keaton took Cecilia’s hand and patted the back of it gently, "Sometimes, being selfish isn’t such a bad thing. The wealth of the Keaton Family and the Lockwood Family is vast. Do you think all the money earned is clean? If you wish to maintain your innocence, then you won’t last in the Keaton Family."

Cecilia trembled deeply, her eyes fragmented, unsure where to look, as her heart ached as if pricked by needles.
