Chapter 2282: Even more blood
As I came closer to the large statue in the distance, I was able to fully tell just how big it was.
From a distance, it was hard to tell exactly how large it was.
But now that I was almost right in front of it, I was able to see just how big this statue really was.
It was so large that I actually had to look up just to see it properly and even then, I wasn’t able to see the top of this statue because of how tall it was.
If I used my abilities to enhance my physical capabilities, then it would be easy for me to see everything. However, it wasn’t as if I was really interested in how big the statue was in the first place.
What I was more interested in was what function this statue actually played in this divine realm. frёeweɓηovel.coɱ
After all, I could tell that the divine energy that was flowing to this place was all being gathered inside of the statue.
"A statue of the God of Creation is the lynchpin of the entire divine realm. That does make sense since the God of Creation is technically the one that created everything." I muttered under my breath as I looked at the statue.
It was just that there was one thing that I couldn’t figure out.
It wasn’t hard to tell from the way that the divine energy flowed that it was being funneled directly into the statue.
However, it didn’t seem like there was anything that was being released by the statue even after it absorbed the divine energy. It didn’t seem like it was being converted into some kind of thing that would support this divine realm.
So I couldn’t help wondering just where all of the divine energy that was being funneled into this place was going.
But since I couldn’t see inside of the statue, it wasn’t as if I knew what the structure of the statue was like and where all that divine energy was going.
Before worrying about all of that, the more important thing was to figure out why I had been brought to this place.
It was better for me to find where the inheritance of the God of Creation was.
After circling around the base of the statue, I found that there wasn’t a single thing that was here.
Even if it was a statue of the God of Creation, this place was completely empty of anything that might have been important. It was as if this place was completely wiped out of anything that could be taken away.
That was until I noticed something that was at the feet of the statue.
This thing was so small that I had missed it at first, but now it seemed like this was actually the key to activating whatever was in this place.
"Blood will tell all truths and reveal the path forward."
It was the same message that had appeared on the barriers that I had passed.
Only this time this message was engraved on a plaque that was under a cup.
This was a cup that had been placed at the bottom of this statue and it had been placed in a very prominent position as if showing off how important it was.
Since it was placed right over the plaque, then that should mean that this was the vessel for the blood to be poured in.
It was a good thing that this cup wasn’t that big or else it might have been dangerous.
I didn’t know how it worked for gods, it wasn’t as if humans could lose that much blood.
No matter how much I had been strengthened by the divine energy, I was still a human in the end and losing too much blood would weaken me.
But if it was a cup of this size, it wouldn’t be enough to actually weaken me that much.
After observing the cup for a while and making sure that there was nothing else that was here, I finally raised my hand over that cup and started letting the blood drip into it.
As the blood came out, I made sure to control the flow of blood that fell into the cup.
After all, if I didn’t have to use that much blood, then I wouldn’t use that much blood.
I was going to make sure that I only let out as much blood as was necessary.
Excessive blood loss certainly wouldn’t help me in this situation.
I had to make sure that I wasn’t weakened enough that I wouldn’t be able to react to what happened.
However, it didn’t seem like it was enough for the cup until it was close to being completely filled up. It seemed like only when it was about to overflow did something change with the statue.
There was a sound that came from the statue before a path opened up.
Looking at it, it seemed like this was leading down into the ground under the statue.
However, I couldn’t really see what was there.
It wasn’t as if there was no light, it was just that there seemed to be something that was blocking my view of what was down there. It was as if there was this layer of mist that blocked everything down this set of stairs.
So even if I looked closely, I still wasn’t able to see a single thing.
The only thing that I could do was walk through that mist after testing it with my hand.
I found that whatever the mist was, it didn’t actually stop me from moving forward. It was just there to block anyone from seeing what was inside of this place.
There was a trace of worry that filled me when I saw this, but I could feel something familiar coming from under the ground.
It was the same feeling that I had felt from the statues I encountered previously.
The inheritance was down there somewhere.
