As time passed, that convoy drew closer and closer to everyone's campsite.

So when everyone got a clear look at this convoy, they were all somewhat... stunned and bewildered.

The scale of this convoy was even far larger than that of the Fair Convoy.

From Chen Ye and the others' position, they could see the entire convoy stretching out before them.

This convoy stretched for almost over a hundred meters.

And, more importantly... there were a huge number of animals in this convoy.

When I say animals, I don't just mean the Fair Convoy's two or three meatworms and a few poultry.

This convoy had plenty of cattle, horses, and sheep.

There were also quite a few hunting dogs running back and forth around the convoy, letting out occasional barks, clearly herding the flock of sheep.

From the rhythm of those barks, you could even tell that these hunting dogs had obviously been meticulously trained.

At the very front of the convoy were three buses.

But these buses were quite different from the Fair Convoy's migration vehicles.

In front of each of these three buses was a massive, incredibly powerful giant ox pulling them.

Thick iron chains connected the three oxen to these three buses.

With every step the giant oxen took, the iron chains on their bodies clanked and rattled with a crisp sound.

Those thick ox horns swayed with the movement of their heads.

The sharpness on the ox horns radiated a gleam comparable to cold weapons.

The sheer thickness of these ox horns was even comparable to battering rams on an ancient battlefield.

What made Chen Ye and the others' pupils contract even more sharply was what was on those giant oxen's horns.

On the horns of each giant ox, a ragged, tattered person was tied.

These people were unresponsive, looking utterly miserable and wretched.

Wounds covered their entire bodies, and in many places, the wounds had already exposed white bone.

Blood had dyed the people crimson, and perhaps because it had been too long, that dried blood, under the flickering light of the fire, showed a dirty, filthy black.

Those giant oxen obviously didn't seem to care much about having a person tied to their horns.

It seemed they were already long accustomed to this kind of behavior.

The giant oxen weren't even very bothered by the iron chains on their bodies, occasionally stopping to take a bite of roadside weeds.

These three giant oxen ambled along at a leisurely pace, stepping forward one by one.

With each step, the muscles on these giant oxen's bodies trembled slightly, showcasing their immense strength.

Behind the three giant oxen, the three buses connected by iron chains were also a bit unusual.

Torches were lit at each of the four corners of the buses.

By the flickering light of the torches, you could see quite a few survivors on those three buses.

The very front bus was the most luxurious, with an unknown totem painted on its body.

The interior was also brightly lit.

You could roughly see that the inside of this bus had been modified to a considerable extent.

Through the open windows, you could see that inside the bus there were beds, sofas, and even a television set.

Even from this distance, you could hear the music coming from that vehicle.

"Boom-chick, boom-chick..."

It had a very strong rhythm.

In the very center of the bus was a large table.

On the table were quite a few leftover bowls and plates, and even some scattered liquor bottles.

Those scantily clad women were clearly very drunk, grabbing onto the railing as their bodies swayed, kicking the bowls and plates off the table one by one.

There were also a few people next to the table, dancing along with the women on it.

But these people were clearly already drunk, each with a wanton, dissolute expression on their faces.

They had obviously just looted a pretty decent place, and the convoy's resources had been greatly replenished.

A few of them also noticed the situation over at the unfinished building.

These people staggered over to stand in front of the bus windows, drunkenly sizing up the unfinished building.

This bus was practically a picture of decadent hedonism in the apocalypse.

Everyone was indulging in debauchery to the absolute limit.

Compared to the Fair Convoy's restraint, it was like night and day.

Compared to the carousing and revelry in the first bus, the situation in the other buses looked more like a true apocalypse.

Everyone on those two buses had sallow, withered faces, and some were even numb.

They sat dully in their seats, staring out the windows at the scenery.

Obviously, they too had seen the lights at the unfinished building, and those strange-looking fellows at the edge of the fourth floor.

Of course, "strange-looking" was mainly describing Iron Lion.

They stared blankly at the people in the unfinished building, their wooden expressions showing a bit of change as they whispered among themselves.

Even so, this kind of whispered discussion was very limited.

At the front of the buses, the driver's cabin had been removed, and two men holding reins stared intently at the unfinished building.

There were two such drivers at the front of each bus.

The roofs of all three buses were tied down with towering baggage.

Clearly, this convoy's supplies were extremely abundant.

This convoy didn't just have three ox-drawn buses.

There were also several horses with riders on them, these knights surrounding the convoy.

They were obviously the convoy's scouts.

Not only that, behind the three giant ox-carts, a few off-road vehicles followed.

But these vehicles didn't have oxen or horses pulling them.

At the very rear of the convoy, dozens of sheep straggled along.

Those hunting dogs ran back and forth, constantly urging the sheep to keep up with the group.

Under the work of these hunting dogs, the sheep seemed very docile, quietly following along in the convoy.

Occasionally, just like the giant oxen in front, they'd stretch their heads out to take a couple bites of roadside grass.

This was a convoy that blended modern technology with primitive elements.

The convoy slowly approached.

The nerves of people from both convoys began to tense up.

A flicker of familiarity passed through Chen Ye's eyes.

His gaze slowly swept over the supplies on those three buses, then over those three giant oxen.

And then those plump little sheep.

And those clever hunting dogs.

Clearly, this convoy was living a much more comfortable life than the Fair Convoy.

If only all this stuff were mine.

Those three giant oxen obviously looked anything but simple. Killed, they'd probably yield several thousand catties of beef.

Several thousand catties.

Beef, man...

Damn...

*Slurp...*

Chen Ye felt like the drool was already leaking from the corner of his mouth.

It had been so long since he'd eaten beef.

And those knights...

In this kind of apocalypse, weren't these horses way better than cars?

Wild grass was everywhere, they could eat as much as they wanted, and you didn't have to find gasoline for them...

And those cute, plump little sheep...

All that stuff on the roofs, what was that stuff?

Wait, in that front bus, those people were smoking and drinking...

Didn't seem like I had many smokes left either...

The more he thought about it, the heavier the greed in Chen Ye's eyes grew.

Chen Ye suddenly felt someone nudge his arm.

He turned his head. freeweɓnovēl.coɱ

And found Captain Chu Che, Squad Leader Chu, giving him a warning look.

Seeing Chu Che's eyes constantly signaling him.

Only then did Chen Ye realize that, without knowing when, his hand had already gripped his knife handle.

Chen Ye snorted coldly.

He let go of the knife handle.

Squad Leader Chu...

It's not like I can be blamed for this either.

This convoy... was just way too fat.

Just then, Chen Ye's gaze sharpened!

He saw a somewhat familiar look in someone's eyes.

That gaze carried a hint of mockery and hatred.

This was...

Oh, I remember now.

This guy was that Breeder Sequence subordinate of Mo Huairen's from before.
