Chapter 102: Chapter 102: I’ll Have My Man Beat You to Death

She sniffled, her watery eyes brimming and red.

"When you were crying in my arms just now, you didn’t tell me to let go. Now that you’re done using me, you want to just cast me aside?" Elliot Sheridan narrowed his eyes, staring straight into hers.

Georgia Thorne forcefully pushed him away with her small hands, but he easily caught one in his large palm, enveloping it completely. "I wasn’t wrong to call you an ungrateful little thing. I come all the way to see you in the middle of the night, and you have the nerve to provoke me by saying there’s another man in your house!"

"Hmm? Tell me, is this man of yours a ghost? How come I can’t see him? If you, my ungrateful little thing, managed to chase me away, who would you have cried in the arms of?" Elliot pinched Georgia’s chin and turned her face, forcing her to look directly at him.

Georgia was both embarrassed and agitated by Elliot’s words.

She glared. "Who needed to cry in your arms? You’re the one who picked my lock and scared me! I wouldn’t have cried if it weren’t for you!"

’This man must have been a thief in a past life. How else could he be so good at picking locks?’

He’s scared me like this twice now.

Georgia shoved hard against Elliot’s body, trying to put some distance between them.

But she was sitting on his lap; no matter how she tried, she couldn’t create any space.

"Is that so? Then who was that at the hospital this afternoon, looking at me with such pitiful eyes?"

"I didn’t see you!" Georgia lowered her head. ’So he really did see me this afternoon.’

"Little liar!" Elliot pinched her chin, tilting it up. "If I don’t discipline you properly, have you forgotten what that feels like?"

"What are you... MMMF..." Georgia’s eyes flew open. Before she could finish speaking, the man’s lips were on hers.

Tears still clung to the corners of Georgia’s eyes. ’I still have a cold!’

Georgia didn’t want to cry. She wiped her tears away. "Elliot, we’ve already broken up. You can’t kiss me."

"Why not? I’m not married, and neither are you. What’s stopping us from kissing?"

"Elliot, you have a fiancée! I even saw you two leaving the hospital together. You’re about to be a father, what right do you have to come here and mess with me!" Fresh tears began to stream down her face.

’What the papers said must be true. It really is a shotgun wedding. Joanne Donovan’s stomach is flat now, but once some time passes and it starts to show, everything will be clear!’

Elliot was completely stunned by Georgia’s words.

His mind was usually sharp, but this was the first time he’d ever been left so dumbfounded.

"What father?"

"Hmph. Stop playing dumb! And you have the nerve to ask me!" Georgia turned her head away and pushed him forcefully, finally managing to get off his lap.

Georgia truly liked Elliot. When she couldn’t see him, she missed him. But when she did see him, she found him incredibly irritating.

"You think Joanne Donovan is pregnant? With my child?"

Georgia snorted. She didn’t say a word, but her meaning was clear.

The girl’s meaning was so obvious it left Elliot unsure whether to laugh or cry.

Elliot was the young master of the Sheridan Family. Everyone he met would praise, flatter, and try to curry favor with him. They would all greet him with smiles, hoping to leave a good impression.

Georgia was the only one who ever dared to show him such an attitude.

"Jealous?" Elliot’s mood suddenly lifted.

Georgia remained silent. Elliot continued, "So you’ve been making a fuss about breaking up with me because of Joanne Donovan, too?"

"You believe those baseless rumors? Georgia, are you that brainless? What was the point of all your years of schooling?"

Elliot’s tongue was always sharp. ’What does he mean, I’m brainless!’

"If she isn’t pregnant, why were you at the hospital together? Even Selena confirmed your engagement, and you’re still trying to deny it!" Georgia angrily slapped his hand away and moved to sit on the sofa, putting distance between them.

What Elliot hated most was being doubted.

But Georgia’s current state was actually quite adorable. He was finally getting to see what a woman was like when she was jealous.

He grabbed her wrist, yanked her forcefully into his arms, and began pressing down on her.

Georgia suddenly grew a little fearful. ’I haven’t actually made him angry, have I?’

The smile on his face was chillingly cold, and Georgia immediately lost her nerve. "Elliot, don’t you come any closer!"

Her boldness only extended to times when Elliot was in a good mood and willing to indulge her.

Elliot had his own way of doing things.

He never sought others’ opinions or explained himself when it came to what needed to be done and how to do it.

Employees needed a decisive leader, not someone who just went around asking for opinions.

But for Georgia, he had broken his own rules time and time again.

This was the first time he had ever explained himself to someone at such length.

It wasn’t just Georgia who was surprised; even he was astonished with himself.

Georgia was completely stunned, staring at Elliot with a dazed expression. She looked just like an innocent little bunny, making him want to take a bite.

’Was that his idea of an explanation?’

Georgia blinked. Even if it was an explanation, it had come far too late.

’They had already broken up.’

Elliot waited for Georgia to speak, but she just stared at him blankly, biting her red lip in silence.

Her cheeks were already flushed from her fever, and now Elliot’s words made them burn even brighter.

"Well, little one? Did you understand?" Georgia nodded. ’It would have been hard not to.’

"Elliot, we’ve already broken up. What’s the point of telling me all this now!"

For the first time, Elliot was so frustrated with this woman that he could have spat blood.

’What a stubborn girl. I was so direct, and she still doesn’t get it?’

Furious, he lowered his head and bit her lip hard. He only loosened his grip when he heard Georgia gasp in pain.

"Georgia, if you ever dare to mention breaking up with me again, I’ll really cast you aside for good!" Elliot felt like he could strangle her.

His vicious tone left Georgia with a lingering fear, but she weakly added, "But... we already are broken up!"

The moment the words left her mouth, the man’s grim gaze fell upon her, and Georgia shivered.

’See? He’s too fierce. He’s not right for me!’

Elliot’s expression darkened, and he let go, truly releasing Georgia.

He glanced down and saw the medicine on the coffee table and the empty water glass.

He reached out again, placing his large hand on Georgia’s forehead. "Have you checked your temperature?"

His hand wasn’t cool, but Georgia’s forehead was even warmer to the touch.

Georgia nodded. Elliot took her temperature again anyway.

After being inside for a while, her temperature had dropped a little.

It was 100.4 degrees now.

She breathed a sigh of relief, but when she looked up, she was met with Elliot’s grim gaze. "You have a cold. Just you try getting caught in the rain again!"

’Did he see me running to the station in the rain?’

Georgia trembled, and Elliot swept her up into his arms.

He placed her on the bed and tucked the covers around her.

"You can go home now," Georgia said, looking at him from under the covers.

"Ungrateful. I just took care of you, and now you’re trying to kick me out?"

Georgia was speechless. ’Why does he always call me ungrateful!’

"Elliot, I still haven’t decided if I want to continue this relationship. Can you please not pressure me like last time?" Georgia said seriously.

Having been burned once, she was wary of it happening a second time.

’There were always so many women around Elliot. If it wasn’t Joanne Donovan, it would just be someone else.’

’It was true that she liked Elliot, but she had no confidence that she could make him like her back.’

’Maybe Elliot was only with her for the novelty of it, or for some other reason entirely.’

’She really needed to think things through properly. But she was sick right now, and her mind wasn’t as sharp as usual. Her thoughts felt like a complete fog.’
