Chapter 107: Chapter 107: Getting Rich from Unboxing
Eating the sweet, refreshing watermelon, Faye Yardley pondered what she could trade it for.
Speaking of which, no one had been willing to trade the Invasion Card she needed.
So, she decided to post her trade request in the monthly national-level trade channel.
However, that required her to list the items she was willing to trade. Faye Yardley thought for a moment. Besides some basic materials, she put up three watermelons. After another thought, she added a set of Backpack Expansion × 10 Diagrams and three packs of sanitary napkins.
If she still couldn’t get a trade for it nationwide, then it could only mean Hailey Miles wasn’t fated to die just yet and would get to live a while longer.
As for weapons, it was difficult to trade for something suitable. Most were barters, exchanging weapons they weren’t used to for ones they were.
After finishing, Faye Yardley took another large watermelon, cut it into slices, and put them in the group chat as a Luck-based Red Envelope. She also sent two whole ones to her brother separately.
She didn’t join in on the excitement in the group chat over the Red Envelope. Willow Yardley said, "Sister, the treasure chests from the past three days of fishing have all been placed in the first-floor bedroom. Would you like to go take a look?"
Faye Yardley’s eyes lit up. "Okay, I’m off to open the chests."
’I’ll check on the newly built training room later.’
Opening the door, she saw the chests inside were stacked neatly.
Her gaze fell on the iron chests, and Faye Yardley frowned slightly. ’Alright, I shouldn’t have laughed at my brother. Willow Yardley and Eamon didn’t do much better; they only got two as well.’
The pre-unboxing prayer was essential. After praying to every god and buddha she could think of, she began.

[You have obtained: Dungeon 1 Fragment ×2, Dungeon 5 Fragment ×1, Dungeon 6 Fragment ×1, Dungeon 8 Fragment ×1]

Hmm??
Faye Yardley was starting to doubt her own luck. ’What the hell? Have the contents of iron chests all become this standardized?’
’Or am I opening them the wrong way? Did I recite the Spell wrong?’
"System Daddy, work your magic! Give me the best, the strongest, the most useful things!"
[You have obtained: One-Hour Same-Zone Invitation Card ×2, Ladies’ Cool Summer Outfit ×1, Large Recycling Bin ×1, Blast Arrow ×10, Cola ×6]

Looking at all the items, Faye Yardley couldn’t help but fall silent.
’Did that prayer work or not?’
The four ducks were live ducks. She’d gotten a hen before, which she had butchered and eaten. As for the ducks, she figured she’d ask her brother or Mr. Pierce if they wanted to raise them.
After all, she wasn’t short on food, not even meat. She still hadn’t even touched the braised duck or the eight-treasure duck with glutinous rice from the Manchu-Han Imperial Feast she’d received before.
’Wait, Logan Langdon’s raft has a breeding room. Maybe I can trade the ducks with him for something else? Like chickens or geese?’
With that thought, she immediately sent Logan Langdon a message: Mr. Langdon, does your breeding room need any ducks? I’m willing to trade for other small animals. two_ducks.jpg.
The reply came quickly.
Logan Langdon: Sure, I can trade you for chicks. How about 2 for 2?
Faye Yardley really wanted to roast him. She replied: For adult chickens, 2 for 2. For chicks, you’ll need double. 4 for 2.
Logan Langdon: Are Gorgeous Yardley’s ducks female?
Faye Yardley: Are Mr. Langdon’s chicks all hens?
In the end, Faye Yardley traded 2 ducks for 4 chicks.
Only after the trade was complete did she slap her forehead. ’Damn it, my brother might not even have a breeding room.’
Sure enough, after asking her brother, it turned out he didn’t have one.
She could only ask Zachary Pierce.
However, in just that short amount of time, the remaining 2 ducks and 4 chicks were already QUACKING and PEEPING, wandering around the room and, to make matters worse, pooping everywhere. It was intolerable!
She made the call, and it was quickly answered.
"Mr. Pierce, do you want these 6? Does anyone on your end know how to raise them?"
Zachary Pierce’s eyes lit up. "Yes, we have a breeding room, and we were just in need of chickens and ducks. It’s great that you have some."
"Great. We’ll talk about other things later. I’ll send these over to you first."
After hanging up, Faye Yardley started catching the chickens and ducks. With her superb agility, she caught them with ease, packed them into a Red Envelope, and sent them over.
"Willow, Willow, quick, come and clean up the room."
There weren’t that many wooden chests, only 12 in total.
This meant that, in total, Willow Yardley and Eamon combined could only fish up an average of 4-5 chests a day.
Faye Yardley felt that was just too pitiful. ’If you average that out, doesn’t it mean one person can only fish up 2-3 a day?’
’Even 3 is stretching it?!’
’If they represent the majority of ordinary people, then life for ordinary people must be really tough.’ freeweɓnøvel.com
While Willow Yardley cleaned the bedroom, Faye Yardley went to the kitchen, placed the small ice maker there, and connected it to the purified water supply.
Afterward, she went to the fireplace in the living room, where the Bronze Cat Statue was sitting.
Faye Yardley took out a small flying fish and offered it to the statue.
MEOW~
Following a cheerful meow, the small flying fish disappeared.
[Your friendship with the cat has increased. The raft’s defense has been strengthened again.]
"So you really do like this fish. I’ll give you more when I get the chance."
MEOW~
Patting the little cat’s head, Faye Yardley felt that this was the kind of animal she liked—it didn’t run around everywhere, didn’t cry or make a fuss, was quiet and peaceful, and would even give you a defense buff in return for a tasty treat. It was practically the model pet.
"Sister, the room is clean now."
"Thanks, you’ve worked hard."
Willow Yardley’s eyes curved into a smile. "It’s what I should be doing."
Faye Yardley decided to continue opening chests.
The Wooden Treasure Chests mostly yielded basic materials, food, water, and clothes.
They were utterly unremarkable.
The only thing a little special was that, thanks to her Talent, she received two Ordinary Island Entry Orders.
Speaking of which, she had gained a lot from using a Refined Island Entry Order last time, but it had also brought a lot of trouble.
And the reason she had left the island early was because, while it seemed peaceful on the surface, it was actually incredibly dangerous for those without sufficient strength.
Fights broke out over the smallest disagreement, and people would kill just because they didn’t like the look of you. Everyone there was incredibly powerful. At first, she had thought her own strength had increased dramatically, that she could easily handle any trouble and fear no one.
But as it turned out, the only reason she could act so domineering was because others didn’t know her true situation and didn’t dare to move against her!
’Relying on strength...’
Faye Yardley clenched her fists. ’One day, my own strength will be enough to intimidate everyone!’
She packed up the ice maker, the large recycling bin, the glass cups, and a share of the food, drinks, and clothes for her brother, then got up to check on the newly built training room out back.
The moment she saw it, its metallic sheen made Faye Yardley let out an appreciative "wow."
The training room’s exterior was sleek and cool, and the inside looked very futuristic.
It was a bit like the training rooms she had paid to use at the fighting gym in Serenia. You could choose your training focus, and it would automatically adjust the environment accordingly.
"Cool~"
