Chapter 312: Justice Coalition and Calamity Aurora

[Northern Continent, Capital]

A huge army of resolute soldiers marched to the walls of the front road of the province of the Emperor, Dan Province. All of them were wearing green-fading armor with shields and flags, waving the pride of the Justice Coalition. Every citizen that had power on the continent watched as the Justice Coalition entered the place where they were prohibited from entering before. But now, because of the truce with the Emperor’s governance, everyone was anticipating the result of this truce.

The Leader of the Justice Coalition, Faction Leader Bavo Luo, stood before the Crown Prince, Genius Successor, Justin Dan. He greeted him with respect. His face was calm and sincere, and the Crown Prince looked at him with understanding. He then smiled after his bow at him and went back to stand straight.

"The Dan Dynasty is greeting the Justice Coalition Leader, Elder Luo. I am the Crown Prince, Justin Dan." The Crown Prince pronounced with grace and an honorable voice that could melt any gender with his charismatic appearance.

"I greet the Dan Dynasty as well as you, Crown Prince. The Justice Coalition is happy to be in a truce with the Dan Dynasty and the Emperor."

"We are happy as well." The respectful greeting ended as the Crown Prince faced the direction where it led to the hall of the Emperor where he receives guests, the Guest Hall of the Emperor. "Please follow us. The Emperor will have us wait there." freewēbnoveℓ.com

Everyone followed the group that the Crown Prince had. And as they arrived in the hall, everything was in order. There were tables and small chairs to sit on in a lotus form. There were also plates and utensils, and at the end of the hall were servants standing firmly. Every official except the servants entered the hall and went to the places where they were designated. The Crown Prince sat across from the Justice Coalition Leader, and they waited for the Emperor.

The Justice Coalition Leader glanced at the Crown Prince a few times, then closed his eyes as he made an assessment of the Crown Prince’s nature. He was delighted to see that the Crown Prince was rational and fit to be the heir of the Dan Dynasty. He was afraid at first since he thought that the Crown Prince would be a cunning person, one that would use sly tactics to trap them, but as he could see it, he was sincere with them.

’Although it is not safe to assume everything and fix it, I can feel that the Crown Prince is well suited to be the next Emperor. I know that the Emperor was hoping to be the next Ambassador of Mortal Heaven, but will it be enough to set an example for his heir and lead them well? The Justice Coalition was created to watch every atrocity of the Dan Dynasty. Even though we had no power over the land, the traditions of respecting each other were still there. The roots of the Justice Coalition had been still respected by the Emperor, although we nag at his actions frequently, they are the authority of the Northern Continent, and we can’t do anything with them. So I just hope that my assumption of the Crown Prince was all true.’ The Justice Coalition sighed.

Although to normal people, the Justice Coalition’s existence was useless since they couldn’t do much against the atrocities the Emperor ordered to his men, the Justice Coalition still represented proper justice and was an opposition to the bloodline of the Emperor. The tradition they had was so strong that the Emperor couldn’t act against them, and most likely one idea was to erase them. There was a strong force in between them that interfered.

The Crown Prince then gave a resolute expression to everyone. He was observing the Justice Coalition well, and he couldn’t see any flaw or hostile intent from them. To hopefully assume it, the Justice Coalition wouldn’t do anything that could put the Emperor’s bloodline to destruction.

The Crown Prince was just calm until the Emperor arrived. That enveloped deep silence in the hall. He walked with only his steps being audible, and as he sat down before everyone, they bowed in unison and greeted him.

""We greet His Majesty!""

The meeting between the Justice Coalition and the Dynasty began with the first matter to be tackled being the three provinces held by an unknown enemy.

There was a reason why the Justice Coalition agreed on having the truce, and it was to put everything back in order. Only the Emperor’s bloodline could own land in the Northern Continent. Even though he lent pieces of them to his retainers, the whole ownership of it was still on the Emperor. And as they started talking about it, the Justice Coalition Leader began first.

"Your Majesty, the Justice Coalition is happy with this truce. And we hope great results to exist. Now, with the meeting starting, the Justice Coalition had already spied on the three provinces, and we noticed two things: first, the previous people of these provinces had already gone to the unknown enemy’s side; and second, they were building a wall facing the remaining provinces they didn’t have control over. However, it was just blurry. We are sure that they built a fort. And to our assumption of whom they might be, we can only think of the Eastern Continent, which was the nearest power in these three provinces."

The Emperor nodded and looked at the Crown Prince, who had his report as well.

"The three provinces may be impossible to infiltrate, but they are easy to peek at. Because of the Intelligence Department’s help and some of my retainers, we also noticed that they were training people. Although the grand array formation surrounding these provinces and protecting them had functions to blur what was happening inside, we had made a way to clearly see what was inside."

The Emperor became confused, and he looked at the Justice Coalition side.

"Then, how did you gather that information?" he asked.

The Justice Coalition leader lowered his head and explained the method they used to see what was happening inside. He explained it thoroughly, starting from the beginning, and just like what the Crown Prince did, they created a way to peek at it, similarly to the method that the Crown Prince explained.

’Amazing... the Crown Prince had thought the same with the Justice Coalition, and although the barrier was strong before, they made a way to weaken it and have some way to peek at it. I am not complacent that the Crown Prince will do well as the heir.’

"Then, with the information we got, what will you suggest taking back the land?"

The Justice Coalition first shared their idea, and the way they got it was to destroy the grand array formation. Although it would use many resources, it was the best way to enter the three provinces. Just after them, the Crown Prince shared his suggestion with everyone, and that made them surprised.

"I think the best way to take back the land was not to take it back. Although they are preparing for something, there is no advantageous way to take it back after destroying the grand array formation. Thus, to take back the land was to wait until they moved to expand the land they got. For sure, their greed will take over them. Although they didn’t contact us in the past few weeks and establish some relations, we will not treat them as a threat, but deep inside, we will prepare for them."

The Emperor talked. "Right, that is also what I am thinking. If we pressure them by making them think that we don’t care about them, they will definitely expand their land. And the resources they have will surely be short. Although it is just an assumption that they are from the Eastern Continent, the Northern Continent’s main power was defending the land from invasion. They were the weakest provinces, and because we were preoccupied with the Western Continent, they were able to pass through us. But now that we have the Western Continent, we can now properly focus on any further invasion."

As the Emperor ended his words, everyone smiled and looked up at him as his honor spread throughout this hall. The brain of the Emperor was also no joke, even though he was widely known as cruel and powerful.

’Indeed. An authority without a brain will surely face its end. But the Emperor was different. He was sharp and had the same thoughts as the others as well, but was much stronger and more reliable. Assumptions for him were just nothing.’ The Justice Coalition Leader thought, and other members of the Justice Coalition thought the same as him.

The respect that people had for the Emperor had no words to explain. For them, he was a divine creature.

"Now, we shall talk about the Calamity Aurora. The Southern Continent’s red sky faded faster than we expected. The Intelligence Department got nothing about the red sky, but the possible rate of it being their preparation for the war is high. I am thinking that it could be the end of the Divine Beast of the Southern Continent’s slumber." The Emperor said, and just as he ended his words, everyone nodded.
