Chapter 824: Chapter 824. True Darkness Elemental Master
Tu Bang was stunned for a second. He thought he must have heard wrong, but when he saw Amon stay still with folded arms and a grinning face, he knew that Amon wasn’t joking.
"You... You will regret this!" He exclaimed.
"Just fire it already," Amon uttered.
"Die...!!!" Tu Bang yelled. He put two fingers together and aimed them at Amon. A ray of black light again came out of those fingers. The laser this time was thicker than the ones he fired previously. He expected Amon to be bluffing and moved away at the last instant, but Amon remained still while grinning.
The black laser slammed into Amon’s chest. Amon’s body jerked backward a little.
Tu Bang expected to see a hole in Amon’s body. A hole that spurted out blood. However, he saw no such hole. The black laser he had fired stopped after touching Amon’s body. Its energy hovered as an orb near the point of impact before Amon’s body.
"Well, I did feel that," Amon said. A drop of blood trickled from his mouth. "I guess it’s because your attack is not pure darkness elements."
The dark orb slid from Amon’s chest to his right arm. It then moved along that arm to his hand and finally stopped at the tip of his finger.
"You... How do you do that...?" Tu Bang asked. Everyone could hear that his voice was shaken.
"You may have the S-rank affinity to the darkness elements, but that cannot be compared to me, who has comprehended the law of darkness," Amon answered. "If you are called the master of the darkness elements, then I guess I can be called the true darkness elemental master."
"That is absurd! One can only comprehend a law once one enters the Devil Realm. No way an upstart like you can comprehend one!"
"It is what it is," Amon replied. "I must thank you. After getting hold of your darkness energy, I can feel the flow and the energy signature you used to execute your art. I think I can use it to create my own version."
The black orb on Amon’s finger suddenly turned into a thin ray of light. This light zoomed and pierced Tu Bang’s arm. Tu Bang didn’t expect the attack. When the pain registered, a small hole was already in his left arm.
"Arrghh...!! How... How do you use the Finger of Death?"
"I didn’t," Amon answered. "I was simply halting your art when it touched me and releasing it again after aiming it back at you. Nevertheless, as I said, I will soon create my own Finger of Death based on what I learned from yours."
"You won’t have the chance for that! Everyone, attacckkk...!!!"
Tu Bang’s soldiers were flabbergasted by what they witnessed. They expected Tu Bang to end the fight without their having to interfere. So when Tu Bang gave them the order to attack, they didn’t immediately respond.
"What are you people waiting for? Attack!!"
Only after the second command did they snap out of their trance. They uttered a war cry and charged forward together.
Tu Bang himself rushed toward Amon once he saw his followers move. He could only use one hand now, but that’s okay. He could use his weapon with one hand, a large blade with serrated edges. Dark energy filled that blade, forming an even larger blade. He swung this black blade down at Amon.
Amon snickered. "You still rely on the darkness elements even after I told you I have the law of darkness. You are either dumb or just unwilling to accept reality." ƒreewebɳovel.com
Dark shadows covered Amon’s body. It was his Elder God Veil. The black blade stopped dead in its tracks once it came into contact with the shadow suit. The shadow suit continued to take shape until it became a giant horned devil with tentacles for wings.
The winged tentacles moved at the two Supreme Stage soldiers who tried to attack from Amon’s flank. They frantically parried the tentacles but failed to stop all. A few slipped in and wrapped around their bodies. They were goners once the tentacles made contact.
Tu Bang himself didn’t fare better. After his blade attack was stopped, he tried to retract his weapon, but couldn’t. His darkness energy was getting locked down by Amon’s shadow suit, preventing him from moving away. When he was exerting strength to free himself, he was late in noticing Amon’s counterattack.
Humans have only four limbs, so when one fought against a human, one became easily unaware when the opponent happened to have an extra limb. Amon possessed this extra limb, his tail. The tail thrust at Tu Bang from the side. By the time Tu Bang was aware, the shadow-covered tail had pierced into his belly.
Amon did not yet have a poison that could kill a Mammoth Stage cultivator, but the force of his thrust was enough for the job. The tail went clean through and came out of Tu Bang’s back.
"You shouldn’t have taken this job," Amon said before his clawy hand grabbed Tu Bang’s head. With a squeeze, his shadow claw crushed Tu Bang’s head.
The other Fiendish Stage soldiers were shocked by the turn of events. In a split second, even before they had arrived, their three superiors had been slain. They immediately turned tail and ran.
Amon wasn’t going to let them. Killing faction members was prohibited. He could argue it was self-defense, but he didn’t want the hassle. It was easier to kill everyone here. His eight tentacles aimed in different directions. The tip of those tentacles transformed into cannon nozzles. These nozzles then fired black bullets.
The black bullets tore through the fleeing soldiers. The bullets obliterated the parts they hit. Before long, the soldiers dropped from the sky with bodies full of holes. Only two soldiers flying toward the North managed to escape Amon’s hail of bullets. However, they didn’t escape their fate.
A huge grey sphere emerged where they were. Their movements slowed to a crawl inside the grey sphere. A pair of spiraling javelins shot from below and shredded through them. They followed their brethren, falling into the lava river below.
Surressh flew up as Amon deactivated his Elder God Veil. "Good job," Amon told him.
"You could have taken out those two yourself," Surressh said.
"I could, but then I won’t see how much you have improved. Your gravity power has become stronger."
"Compared to you, my improvement is laughable."
"There is no such thing as a laughable improvement. Come. Even concealed, you are not safe to be out in the open."
Amon led Surressh, and they landed on one of the ledges protruding out of the mountain below. When Amon didn’t move from the spot, Surressh asked him, "Why are we staying here?"
"We are waiting."
"For what?"
"They will be here soon."
Surressh was confused but didn’t protest. Soon, he heard buzzing sounds. He turned and saw many small flying bugs approaching. On the back of each bug was a tiny device. They landed on Amon’s hand and vanished. fгeewebnovёl.com
"What are those?" Surressh asked.
"Nothing you should be concerned about," Amon answered. He took out the prison box and activated the portal.
"What is this now?" Surressh asked again. "Something not my concern as well?"
"On the contrary, this concerns you. This is how I keep Yeresdyx safe and hidden. If you don’t want your existence to be learned by other humans, step in."
Amon entered the portal. Surressh hesitated for a few seconds before deciding to enter.
Inside, Amon brought Surressh to where Yeresdyx was and introduced him to the other dwellers of the place. Yeresdyx was excited that another Hyanid would accompany her here. Surressh, however, was not that thrilled.
"This place is no different than a prison," Surressh complained.
"Its original design is indeed as a prison," Amon agreed.
"What if I want to get out?"
"You can contact me using the battle puppet I left with Yeresdyx, but I advise you not to think about going out unless I call for it. We are inside human territory. If your existence is discovered, it will jeopardize our future operation. If you want to accompany me, then you must accustom yourself to living inside here. Don’t worry, I will provide your daily necessities here. You have nothing to worry about. You can just focus on your cultivation."
"I was supposed to keep an eye on you," Surressh protested.
"I don’t know how to let you do that while keeping you safe. You must choose one or the other," Amon said. "Tell you what. I will give you accounts of what I do. You can relay the information back to your people. That way, they won’t say you are slacking."
Surressh gave Amon a side eye. Wouldn’t that be the same as having Amon control his information? It would defeat the purpose of his keeping an eye on Amon. Even so, he understood that keeping his existence secret took priority, so he had no choice but to comply with Amon until he could think of a solution.
After getting Surressh settled in, Amon returned outside. He looked to the Southeast. Beyond the misty border in that direction was the location Mo Wang had given him. It was where Di Yu’s offspring were known to reside.
He wanted to capture the dragonling, but not for Mo Wang. After hearing Mo Wang’s description of the technique to bypass cultivation levels, he knew it was similar to the Poison Blood Infusion Method. In fact, a new recipe had been revealed to him inside the 101 Primal Poison Tome, which at first glance was the upgraded version of the Poison Blood Infusion Method.
Mo Wang wrote the tome, so it was most probably the same technique he had mentioned.
