After dinner, Fang Shuxin and Xu Su Hua didn’t let Lu Yunque go back to work right away. Instead, they pulled him into the tearoom and handed him the brochures for the few restaurants they had just shortlisted.
"Take a look. Which of these restaurants do you like more? No, wait, which one do you think Miss Yun would like more?"
When he heard Fang Shuxin mention Yun Zijin, Lu Yunque’s eyes lit up. "Is this for..."

The two women smiled and nodded. "Your grandmother and I went to great lengths to pick these out. Choose one from the list, and I’ll make a reservation for you two."
Many of the restaurants on the list were members-only, and most required reservations far in advance. Only people of Xu Su Hua and Fang Shuxin’s status could possibly get a spot by cutting the line.
After all, even these restaurants had to play the game of favors and connections. Keeping one or two private rooms available to curry favor was an open secret in the industry.
Lu Yunque flipped through the restaurant brochures Fang Shuxin had brought out and finally chose one named Lan Gui Fang.
Lu Yunque had eaten at this restaurant before. Among all the places he’d dined, its food ranked in the top five.
The restaurant’s decor was predominantly Hua Country Style. Based on what Lu Yunque had learned about Yun Zijin recently, he knew she tended to have a favorable impression of things in the Hua Country Style.

"You can come if you want, but the shop gets really busy. Once we’re there, we won’t be able to pay any attention to you."
