Chapter 447: Chapter 447: New Training Program

Leng Pan looked at the group of people looking at her with eyes filled with curiosity and sighed.

Life has changed so much.

Now, there was no class between people, just survivors.

Before the apocalypse, some of the people here wouldn’t have been caught dead associating with some of the people they were now mourning.

However, as humans, they must adapt to change and evolve with the apocalypse.

"Yes, water combat. I am not sure if everyone can swim but if they can, then they can learn how to fight in the water. We don’t know how long this water will remain. So, we have to prepare in case something like what happened today repeats itself." Leng Pan explained her thinking.

"You will do it practically. You will be monitored and trained by those with experience." Leng Pan reassured her people.

She wanted to be there and train them herself, but she has the ability to use the water as a weapon while the others who didn’t have the water ability must learn how to launch attacks and defend while in the water.

They couldn’t manipulate the water, so they could only fight in it.

"You must learn how to wield weapons while in the water or how to make them if you have superpower."

Since water was also an element, it might interfere with the use of other elements. For instance, fire.

If Lu Zhen’s fire ability wasn’t a rare mutated one, it wouldn’t do anything to those creatures.

He might not even be able to summon any fire while in an environment surrounded by water.

The others with other abilities might face the same problem.

So, it was better to practice first.

"Okay, we will do as Commander Leng says." Even though they didn’t know how they would learn to fight in water, it was something that could save their lives if they learned it.

So, no one had any objections.

Once everything was set, Lu Zhen took his wife up the stairs and back to their room.

He didn’t even pass by the family apartment.

Lu Tao and Lu Hao would tell their elders what had happened, he just wanted to comfort his wife who seemed to be a bit too sad.

"Don’t be so sad, okay? Go take a shower and rest for a while. When you wake up, everything will be better." Lu Zhen urged his wife.

Leng Pan felt exhausted both physically and emotionally.

She felt drained by the loss of that team.

It wasn’t that she hadn’t seen death before.

In the apocalypse, death was something completely normal. However, losing people while she was working so hard to save them was emotionally draining.

"Yeah, let’s shower together. You need a bath too. That way we can save water." Leng Pan tried to add humor to her speech to make it look like she wasn’t that sad.

Lu Zhen knew her too well and just went along with her.

He was bent on making her forget what was going on at least for a few hours.

Thus, their shower took almost two hours because they completely forgot they were supposed to shower and instead began other activities.

After leaving the bathroom, they continued their intense activities in the bedroom until Leng Pan finally fell asleep.

Only then did Lu Zhen sigh in relief.

He hated seeing his wife so sad, hence, he decided to design the training program himself.

He will make sure that the people in their base were so well-trained that no one would dare to die for no reason.

With this in mind, he got out of bed, covered his wife with a blanket and got dressed.

He then headed to the other apartment to get his brothers and Uncle Li to help with the training program.

Once the three of them heard his idea, they all wanted to contribute.

By evening, an intense training program was ready, but it was on a level of difficulty of its own.

However, Lu Zhen wasn’t sorry. He would be sorry if his wife got sad because of other people’s deaths again.

So, he would make sure that everyone was trained to the point where even if they can’t win the fight, they could escape or at least, hold out until reinforcements arrived.

Supper was back to the sumptuous meals that Uncle Li liked to cook.

There were different types of meat dishes, vegetables, and soup.

The meat in Leng Pan’s warehouse in the ring was still so much it could last another a hundred years.

When Leng Pan woke up, she found herself alone in the room.

Because Lu Zhen had been worried about the atmosphere making her sad again, he had left a light on when he left even though it had still been during the day.

A shallow smile formed on Leng Pan’s lips at her husband’s thoughtfulness.

She freshened up and headed to the apartment across from hers.

The aroma of food was so overwhelming it made her mouth water even before she could reach the dining room.

Uncle Li’s cooking was becoming more heavenly and his dishes were becoming more intriguing.

At first, his superpower had been to make the food more delicious. Then, the food he cooked began having the spiritual energy to replenish superpowers.

Now, the food could even heal some minor injuries and cuts.

This surprised everyone but just like Lu Tao’s ability, they decided to keep it to themselves.

If people with ulterior motives found out about such a superpower, won’t Uncle Li be kidnapped and forced to cook for people day and night to heal the injured or recover strength for those who engage in battle?

"What do you think the situation with the other bases is?" Li Yunjia asked thoughtfully.

Knowing her, Leng Pan and Lu Zhen understood that the events of that day had also rattled her.

She was compassionate even though she didn’t like to show it and her asking this was a way of telling us to offer help if possible.
