Chapter 262: Threesome Immortal

Discussion Hall, Spirit Affinity House.

Four gu immortals observed a floating gu house with grim expressions. The once awe-inspiring rank 8 immortal gu house was currently in a pathetic and somewhat unrecognizable state. The blue eaves in the middle of the building were completely destroyed, there were several large holes in the roof and walls of the building, and pure-white cloud qi leaked from the damages. Even more disastrous than its external state was its internal condition. Spirit Affinity House lost one of its three core immortal gu worms. Thankfully, the enemy could not refine the rank 8 immortal gu—Spirit Refinement. But the gu house still lose several immortal gu worms that supported the gu house’s creation and function!

This loss was truly too much. Immortal gu worms were unique and could not exist in multiple copies at a given point in time. Losing those immortal gu worms implied a permanent loss in Spirit Affinity House’s reserve of immortal gu worm and also forced them to modify the gu house’s blueprint to incorporate different immortal gu worms, which was nothing short of a monumental task. It might take them dozens of years to recuperate from such a loss!

First supreme elder did not speak and kept her eyes closed. Second supreme elder, Fairy Yi, looked furious at the damage. There was also the third supreme elder. She often disguised herself as legacy disciple Nu Wu and was the sect’s leading member in researching blood path and contributing her findings to the sect.

Lastly, there was Feng Jiu Ge.

It wasn’t as if the sect elders did not have a meeting to discuss this loss with other supreme elders. But after everything was said and done, the four convened again to discuss some hard measures and hold a few individual accountable.

"We must identify that group of gu immortals," hummed the third supreme elder in a leisure tone. "Unfortunately, they did not leave any clues. Their method was too clean."

"And they were resolute enough. To think one of those gu immortals would sacrifice his life just to refine one of the crucial gu worms of our gu house." Fairy Yi furrowed her brows before shaking her head. "It seems a great conspiracy is afoot. Unlike what Lo Jik guessed, the second battlefield killer move was actually a compound killer move involving rule and information paths. Furthermore, that third rank 7 gu immortal must be an accomplished soul and refinement path gu immortal. He was using a soul refinement method and managed to refine several immortal gu worms at a short period of time."

Rule path, extending to restriction path, was great at restricting and trapping gu worms. It wasn’t difficult to imagine why a weakened Spirit Affinity Gu House could be trapped by the enemy using rule path. Meanwhile, the enemy used information path to suppress the news of their ambush and clean their traces before escaping Tian Ti Mountain. They boasted several methods and left the four gu immortals wondering if this was truly a work of a bunch of lone and demonic gu immortals or something much darker... for instance, an organization working against the ten great ancient sects.

It wasn’t difficult to imagine why someone might create this kind of a force. The ten sects occupied 80% of Central Continent’s resources, leaving other gu immortals with minimal benefits. It was bound to inspire hatred and jealousy.

"Sigh, it is Elder Bai Qing’s responsibility." First supreme elder exhaled deeply after a long while. She did not speak anymore as Feng Jiu Ge also released a short sigh. He nodded calmly, agreeing. "I understand," he said. "Please continue."

Only a few words were exchanged but Feng Jiu Ge knew he would have to pay a great deal or his wife would be in deep trouble. He also sensed there was something else to come because first supreme elder had yet to address the elephant in the room—Tian Ti Mountain.

"Here is Heavenly Court’s judgment on the matter. Tian Ti Mountain is the court’s seat and it was nearly destroyed."

First supreme elder released an information path immortal gu worm. Feng Jiu Ge held it gracefully and scanned it with his will.

His gaze briefly brightened before he frowned.

"You appear suspicious, Elder Feng." Fairy Yi noticed.

"It’s nothing," replied Feng Jiu Ge as he schooled his expression and nodded. "I will relay Heavenly Court’s decision, First Supreme Elder."

"Hmm, I will send you a compiled list of the damages later. That will be all."

Feng Jiu Ge left the hall and soon the third supreme elder also returned to her blood prison, leaving first and second supreme elders.

"What do you think, Junior Sister Yi?"

Fairy Yi exhaled and shook her head.

"I always knew this day would come, senior sister... just not this quick. There are a few ways to recoup our losses but those plans will only be in motion after a few decades."

"Currently, us ten sects are sitting and covering the mouth of a raging volcano. It’s not a question of ’if’ it will erupt, but when."

"You’re worried that these gu immortals were truly from Central Continent?" First supreme elder inquired.

"It’s highly probable." Fairy Yi sighed with a heavy expression.

First supreme elder sank in silence.

She knew such things all too well.

How long have the ten great ancient sects been in control of Central Continent? The situation was getting increasingly harder over these recent years. Central Continent was different from the other four regions. Led by Primordial Origin Immortal Venerable, Central Continent had already been reformed during the Remote Antiquity Era, establishing the sect system. During the Remote Antiquity Era, sects had been rare. In Olden Antiquity Era, clan forces surpassed sect forces. In Medieval Antiquity Era, sects and clans clashed against each other, and advanced at an equal pace. In Late Antiquity Era, clans weakened while sects flourished. And now, sects stood in great numbers in Central Continent while there were almost no clans.

The clan system only selected the clan’s children as gu masters. The sect system, however, allowed ordinary mortals to step on the path of gu cultivation. Central Continent’s history was filled with the conflicts between the two great systems. After going through over three million years of struggles, evolution and accumulation, the sect system prevailed; the number of Central Continent Gu Immortals far surpassed the other four regions and they continued to increase, and soon threatened to leave the control of the ten great sects.

There was a limit to how many gu immortals the ten great sects could recruit. Shu Ye was one such gu immortal, recruited from another large sect to weaken it and keep it a subsidiary force under Spirit Affinity House. Unfortunately, the number of other gu immortals in Central Continent was several times their own! As these gu immortals of other sects, demonic path gu Immortals, and lone gu immortals continued to cultivate, they would require more cultivation resources. Conflicts for such benefits, thus, were unavoidable because the ten great sects controlled eighty percent of cultivation resources in Central Continent.

In these recent years, new sects emerged endlessly, new innovations and new schools of thought were common occurrences, uncommon geniuses and monstrous talents sprouted constantly among the mortals while there were limited spots in the ten great ancient sects. Despite recruiting exceptional talents every year, Central Continent was truly too big.

The ten great ancient sects held control of eighty percent of Central Continent’s resources, but after the resources were split amongst everyone, how much would be left behind for individual gu immortals?

As a gu immortal’s cultivation got higher, their blessed land would require more resources to manage. In particular, the heavenly tribulations and earthly calamities would also continue to become stronger, and after every tribulation, the losses would be very severe, and the price to repair it would continue to become higher. Bai La suffered such a fate. While she survived her third heavenly tribulation, her foundation had been reduced to a devastating state! She needed a large influx of resources to nurture her blessed land again.

So, it was impossible for the ten great ancient sects’ gu immortals to share their resources with others.

In the past, although there were many sects outside of the ten great sects, there were not many gu immortals. Immortal and mortal were different concepts, there was a wide gap in the strength between mortals and immortals, thus mortals could be suppressed.

But presently, the gu immortals outside of the ten great sects were increasing constantly in numbers. Although these gu immortals usually had inferior battle strength, their vast number was enough to bring about an impact to the ten great ancient sects.

It was as Fairy Yi described. The ten great ancient sects currently covered the mouth of a volcano waiting to erupt. And when it erupts, it would bring about a great change to the ten great ancient sects!

Enduring such disastrous losses at this time was absolutely unacceptable!

"We shall investigate," the first supreme elder spoke after a moment. "If those demons are truly from Central Continent... we must prepare. I fear that the great era is truly not too far in the future."

Fairy Yi hesitated.

"Is that why Heavenly Court focusing on him? His insight in dream path is already surprising enough. I never expected him to prepare so extensively."

First supreme elder shook her head and spoke in an ominous tone.

"The will of Heavenly Court is heaven’s will. Heaven’s will cannot be defied; it cannot be anticipated."

It was true. Heavenly Court first refused to acknowledge Lo Jik as the current generation fairy despite appointing him as the member of the righteous path. Now, it took another strange decision towards Lo Jik.

<<<>>>

’This is—Secret Inheritance Peak.

Lo Jik flew alongside Bai La, who was healed by Fairy Yi once she returned to the sect’s headquarters. The silence between them was deafening. They did not converse or talk about what happened in the dream realm. While Lo Jik hid several details about his methods, he did hand over an information path gu surmising his experience in Bai La’s dream realm. It helped that his cultivation reached rank 6, preventing other supreme elders from forcing his secrets with righteous reasons. Now, they needed to pay an appropriate price—which most of them did not possess because dream path was currently all the rage within the ten great ancient sects.

The duo entered a formation and witnessed a floating mountain radiating ancient aura.

This floating mountain peak was Secret Inheritance Peak—the parent force of what the mortal disciples called the Inheritance Hall.

As the couple neared the mountain, they noticed a gu immortal’s will waiting to welcome them. It was supreme elder Liu Fang’s, the gu immortal responsible for Secret Inheritance Peak, will. She greeted the duo as Lo Jik quickly bowed in respect while Bai La nodded in return.

"This is the list of materials you can choose from, Elder Lo Jik. Choose one."

Lo Jik took the information path gu worm and scanned it before sighing deeply.

"Why am I being punished for helping the sect, Senior Sister Liu Fang?" He asked in a bitter voice but Liu Fang’s will remained unimpressed and impassive. She did not answer Lo Jik as if not programmed to deviate from her true function of dispensing the rewards.

"Only gu immortals who failed to refine any immortal gu worm for various reasons get a chance of seeking an immortal gu from the sect’s reserves. Of course, you can also exchange them for contribution points or by advancing your cultivation to rank 7," Bai La explained with a short smirk as Liu Fang’s will suddenly turned to the woman, adding indifferently.

"Due to the recent losses, first supreme elder clarified that your supposed reward of an immortal gu worm will be contributed in the reparation of the gu house. Please inspect this. It’s the list of resources you are to contribute to the sect in the next fifty years. Of course, you can also contribute other materials equivalent to the materials mentioned in the list. The final decision of the value for the materials you acquire and submit to the sect will be left with third supreme elder."

Bai La’s expression froze before she too appeared bitter and accepted the list from Liu Fang.

Lo Jik didn’t jest but his smile spoke it all as Bai La shot him a narrowed-eye glare.

He returned to inspect the list of resources again. The cultivation of gu immortals was somewhat distinct from a mortal’s cultivation and required a mind for management. First and foremost, a gu immortal had to make use of their blessed land—their unique small worlds—to grow resources!

Being a strength path gu immortal, Lo Jik had to focus on strength path resources and also the needs of his gu worms... and immortal gu worms. Lo Jik had refined three strength path immortal gu worms during his ascension. The entire process of his breakthrough was recorded by Mi Yao and Black Moon, so Lo Jik could not lie about not possessing a single immortal gu worm. Even before that, the sect was aware of his acquisition of Flying Bear Strength and Divine Travel Immortal Gu Worms. They simply could not find any reason to grant him another immortal gu worm.

Lo Jik cupped his chin and finally decided on one resource point.

"I would like to purchase the plantation of Meat Root Tree, Senior Sister Liu Fang. Also, I wonder if I can exchange immortal gu worms."

Liu Fang’s will considered it for a moment before nodding plainly.

Lo Jik’s smile broadened.

"I took the chance to remove this gu worm as my lifebound vital gu worm." Lo Jik revealed the familiar rank 6 Flying Bear Strength Immortal Gu Worm.

Liu Fang observed the immortal gu worm and sent out an information path gu worm. Another information path gu worm flew towards Liu Fang after a few short breaths before she read its contents and nodded.

"This is the list of immortal gu worms you can obtain for your immortal gu worm, Elder Lo Jik."

Lo Jik read the list before his eyes brightened.

’Pulling Water Immortal Gu. Pulling Mountain Immortal Gu. Both of these are rank 6 strength path immortal gu worms. Amazing, to think the sect’s treasury would be so extensive...’

However, Lo Jik was not hurting for more strength path immortal gu worms. And more immortal gu worms did not always entail increase in one’s strength. After all, he was also responsible for feeding his immortal gu worms and recklessly selecting an immortal gu worm with difficult feeding restrictions would instantly limit his future.

Also, he was a grandmaster in almost all known paths. How could he limit himself to strength path when gu worms from the other paths might be more convenient for him compared to Flying Strength Immortal Gu Worm?

Lo Jik went through the list several times while listing their advantages and disadvantages in his head before settling on one particular immortal gu worm.

Liu Fang blinked in surprise. The list of immortal gu worms only included those which were difficult to utilize and nurture or gu immortals from the declining paths such as strength path’s Flying Bear Strength Immortal Gu Worm.

Rank 6 Sand Eye Immortal Gu Worm. It was an investigation-type earth path immortal gu worm which was difficult to feed. However, Liu Fang did not question his choices and began the exchange process as the two parties let each other refine their former immortal gu worms.

Lo Jik smoothly obtained Sand Eye Immortal Gu Worm. Meanwhile. Liu Fang lodged Flying Bear Strength Immortal Gu in the list of the immortal gu worm treasury.

The couple departed the Secret Inheritance Peak as Lo Jik turned his attention to his first blessed land. He had requested Fairy Yi’s assistance to remove Flying Bear Strength as his lifebound vital gu worm and refined Borrow Strength Immortal Gu Worm, one of the three immortal gu worms he refined during his ascension, as his new lifebound vital gu worm.

Of course, her assistance did not come for free.

Lo Jik knew she had a great desire towards his dream path research, something he saw fitting to disseminate now that he was a dream path great grandmaster. His earlier accomplishments paled compared to what he could achieve now in a blink of his eye. Of course, his dream path research was significantly more valuable than Fairy Yi’s assistance. Even mortal dream path gu worms would currently sell at sky-high prices in Treasure Yellow Heaven.

The prices of relevant dream path recipes could only be left to one’s imagination.

’But the greatest benefit was the loss Spirit Affinity House suffered.’ Lo Jik’s thoughts shifted as he schemed. How could the other gu immortals have been threatening to him despite two battlefield killer moves? Lo Jik held the absolute advantage in terms of dream path. Others boasted no protection against dream path methods while Lo Jik’s clones already deduced several killer moves incorporating Accumulation Gu to power the dream path killer moves no worse than actual dream path immortal gu worm!

In reality, the group of mysterious gu immortals did not realize how close they were to their demises.

But how would killing them help Lo Jik?

He had no way of capturing them or their immortal gu worms. Killing them only meant helping Spirit Affinity House. But why would Lo Jik do that?

He just advanced to rank 6. While he could claim it was a response to the dangers inside Bai La’s dream realm, it would not shield him from the suppression of other wary supreme elders. In fact, Fairy Yi might have also schemed against him for his dream path research!

But now?

Spirit Affinity Immortal Gu House was greatly damaged. Tian Ti Mountain was in a state of ruins and it was Spirit Affinity House’s fault. They would endure a period of suppression due to these events. How could the sect continue to scheme against Lo Jik and not nurture him when it was about to face several dangerous situations in the near-future?

Not only that, his act of unknowingly ruining Tian Ti Mountain also implicated Bai La a great deal. As he was appointed as the sect’s next supreme elder in the earlier meeting, Bai La also lost her support and favor in Xu Hao’s faction. Meanwhile, her pride prevented her from seeking the Feng Faction’s support and she was in too much trouble to join the neutral faction.

What did that mean?

It left her with only one choice—a group of known troublemakers.

Gu Yue Lo Jik—the Fickle Consort Immortal.

And his loving wife—Fairy Black Moon.

So, instead of helping Spirit Affinity House, Lo Jik wisely chose to help himself, reaping great potential benefits meant to pave open a path for his future.

"This is where we part, Senior Bai." Lo Jik stopped and shot her a polite yet distant smile. "I hope you will give my proposal some consideration."

Bai La only spat in response, hissing venomously as if he lit her ass on fire.

"Don’t test me, Lo Jik. I’ll be more than happy to release the recording of you enjoying a certain humiliating act."

Lo Jik blinked before shrugging.

"Oh, you mean those tentacles. They were alright. It’s not my fault a man’s prostate accommodates his g-spot. I’m sure many more perverted gu immortals would be willing to pay you a good sum of immortal essence stones to experience that pleasure."

He left with a laugh.

"And be serious, Bai La. Last I checked, I fucked your ass till you screamed his name. That’s way more humiliating~!"

Bai La gritted her teeth as she followed Lo Jik with an infuriated gaze.

’Damn him...’ She worked her jaw before she observed his behind. ’I’ll make sure to work him good.’

Coincidentally, she received Lo Jik’s transmission.

’You are always welcome to record more fun time. I’ll be in Hu Immortal Blessed Land for a short while before taking up my duties for Tian Ti Mountain.’

She blinked before shooting back. After all, another matter weighed more in her heart compared to her weakened foundation.

’What about... Huang’er?’ She inquired.

’A threesome? How scandalous~’

’THAT IS NOT WHAT I MEANT!’
