Chapter 947: Chapter 920: Qian Is Your Rock

"Everyone quiet down and listen to me. My father is unable to appear now; you either listen to me or figure it out yourselves. The so-called saying, ’The lips depend on the teeth, lose the lips, the teeth feel cold.’ I understand your emotions are intense, but excessive excitement doesn’t help in solving the problem. I’m here to solve issues, not quarrel with you!"

A young girl in her early twenties saying this was quite shocking, and the meeting room fell silent. One shareholder who had been with Mr. Shi for many years came out to smooth things over.

"We trust the chairman’s character. Let’s listen to what our niece has to say first."

"First, I will use all my personal assets as collateral. Then we can launch the new product to help the group through difficult times! The new product my mother has in hand has already received approval from the relevant authorities. If we enter the market, we still have a glimmer of hope!"

"Launching a new product requires a lot of funds, Miss Shi, do you have enough liquid assets to support it? How much do you have?"

"I haven’t seen the project plan yet. Roughly how much is needed?"

The person in charge of this project stood up and provided a number.

Shi Yu’s heart sank at that moment.

This sum of money was far too large; she was far too naive last night.

The money in hand is simply not enough!

"What are the workers’ wages approximately?" If there’s no way to launch the new product, the worst path is to pay the workers and then... things will turn to dust, facing bankruptcy.

In fact, at this point, whether or not the workers are paid doesn’t change anything.

Over the years with Qian, Shi Yu understood what responsibility and accountability were. Though Qian is wild, she never mistreats people who follow her.

This is what her family owes those workers; what’s due must still be given. She can’t take this money to pursue her own little life, distancing herself entirely from the family, nor can she watch the workers suffer because of a boss’s escape.

She thought she still needed to step up; if launching the product is possible, then strive for it. Even if the money isn’t enough, being blamed and cursed in place of her father is only natural. It’s a mission and also personal growth.

Just as Shi Yu was about to speak about finishing the wages and then dissolving the company, the meeting room door opened, and seeing the visitor, Shi Yu widened her eyes. She never imagined Qian would show up here!

Chen Xiaoqian appeared as lively as ever. She wasn’t alone; two men seemed very competent followed her.

"Qian?" Shi Yu looked at Xiaoqian in shock, almost thinking she was seeing a hallucination.

Xiaoqian gave her a reassuring look and walked through the meeting room, stopping by Shi Yu’s side with her entourage.

The arrival of strangers rendered the entire room of shareholders silent. Despite her youth, Xiaoqian carried an undeniable presence.

"Didn’t you say you have a piece of land? Well, the land is here now," Xiaoqian pointed to herself, patting Shi Yu’s shoulder. "I’m not just your sky; I am your land, your last resort."

"Qian..." Shi Yu’s carefully constructed strongwoman facade crumbled with just a word from Qian, causing her to choke up. Xiaoqian squeezed her hand under the table, signaling Shi Yu to stay calm.

"Leave, don’t get involved in my family’s issues." Shi Yu whispered, she had left in such a rush yesterday to prevent Qian from getting pulled into this mess.

"Who is she?" asked the shareholder nearest to Xiaoqian.

"I’m Shi Yu’s friend, Chen Xiaoqian. These two gentlemen are lawyers I brought along. We’ve come to assist Shi Yu with the pharmaceutical plant’s debt crisis." Xiaoqian gestured to the two professionals behind her.

"A friend? What kind of friend can resolve our pharmaceutical plant’s problems? The chairman has a five-billion loan and can’t repay it. Are you going to invest in our plant to help repay the debt?"

No one placed hope in this young girl.

"We won’t invest, nor will we repay the debt for you," Xiaoqian said plainly.

She’s different from that mastermind Wang Haiqun, who would exploit the situation. What’s more, post-investigation revealed Wang Haiqun had no intention of guaranteeing anything for the Shi Family; he just hoped to manipulate Shi Tou into stealing case documents.

A chorus of debates erupted, with tempers stoked, driven by money and interests, even eroding the facade of pleasantries.

Shi Yu anxiously observed Qian; she really wanted to push Xiaoqian away.

Even if Qian were all-powerful, producing that amount of money isn’t possible; it’s not just a few thousand bucks.

Her visit to Qian was not for her help—it’s just that over the years, she got used to spending time with Qian in times of distress, finding peace, and completing herself by spotting the schemes against Qian.

She never imagined Xiaoqian would actually come.

It’s the last scenario Shi Yu would want to see.

Xiaoqian wasn’t fazed by the hubbub from everyone; she casually tossed a line, bringing the violence-laden room to a rolling boil.

"While we won’t invest or repay the debts, the two lawyers behind me each represent the Yu Group and Tangcheng Industry, extending the loan application on behalf of my husband Yu Minglang as the new guarantor."

That statement was followed by several seconds of quiet before the scene exploded.

Is this even real?

Simply unbelievable!

With a wave, Xiaoqian signaled the two lawyers behind her to place their briefcases on the table and pull out authorization letters.

Shi Yu was already dumbstruck. Xiaoqian winked at her, "My man is easily swayed. The one from Shui Xian was flown over on a private plane overnight."

"Qian, you didn’t have to do this!"

Xiaoqian had brought out her two biggest supports, and the loan extension wasn’t just a casual offer; Shi Yu understood its implications.

"Don’t speak! While I’m still youthful and passionate and not overwhelmed by reality, let me act the part of a bossy CEO for a bit longer." Xiaoqian pulled a chair and sat down; it was now the lawyers’ turn to execute the necessary work.

She had considered everything before coming. She was only there to play the part; the detailed operations had to be handled by the lawyers.

Xiaoqian moved her most reliable support over not due to a temporary surge of emotions.

Her decision stemmed from an earnest analysis of pros and cons. The Shi Family was financially stuck, yet their foundation remained intact and needed a little boost to rise again. Even if they were hopeless, selling off their assets could cover the gap.

Qian’s calculation was straightforward, even if a deficit of a hundred thousand or so existed that couldn’t be covered, she’d stop buying cars and sell a few houses, borrowing money if necessary to plug the hole for Shi Tou.

Ultimately, she wouldn’t let the consortium behind her lose money but could still lift Shi Tou up; Xiaoqian was fully prepared.

Friendship transcended subconscious barriers of 30,000 times; why not give it a fifty-percent chance of success at the very least?
