Chapter 940: Chapter 913: Never Forget Your Original Intention, Try Hypnosis

Qian was taken aback by the straightforwardness of the phone call.

Her brain didn’t even react.

This kind of throwing a bombshell upfront, wasn’t it her unique style?

The direct approach of the other person left Qian momentarily blank, and she could only ask instinctively.

"Who are you? What’s your purpose?"

"I am just a hypnotist and also a psychiatrist, don’t get me wrong, I’m a very friendly person."

"A friendly person would do something like that to my friend? What did you hypnotize her to do?!"

"I’m really a very friendly person, this is just my job, I mean no malice towards you or your friend, but who would refuse money? Your job is to cure people, my job is to hypnotize people, it’s professional nature, I’m friendly and have no hostility towards anyone, I just love money more."

"Why are you telling me all this?"

"Maybe I feel a connection with you. Since I’m telling you the truth, can you tell me how you cultivated those die-hard Qian fans? I’ve had many successes, but you’re the only woman whose hypnosis I can’t break. I’m very interested in you."

Huaoli encountered such a situation for the first time, never had there been any chance of failure. Qian broke his record and piqued his interest.

"Oh, interested in me? Then let’s meet up and chat professionally?" Qian’s voice sounded very normal.

The person on the other end laughed softly, "I’m not meeting you. I’ve analyzed your principles, if I dared to meet you, you’d get your die-hard fans to beat me to a pulp."

He knew himself well! Not being able to trick this punk into meeting face-to-face made Qian quite unhappy.

"You better never let me see you. I won’t forget what you did to my friend."

In other words, let’s see if you can hide forever! Otherwise, you’ll be beaten to a pulp the moment I see you!

"Speaking of your friend, I’m really curious about what you did to her. I’ve studied Shi Yu’s behavior from childhood, and honestly, although this woman isn’t stupid, she’s too naive and is susceptible to hypnosis. Such a person wouldn’t last three episodes in a court drama from my perspective."

Mu Hualili paused, then continued puzzled.

"But I noticed, after she met you in university and you both disappeared for a few days, she seemed to have changed. What baffles me more is that despite her change, I should have been able to hypnotize her completely. You changed the situation in one night... Do you have another master guiding you?"

"If you want to know, come meet me, don’t hide like a turtle!" Qian was so infuriated she was about to explode.

She’s protective, and nobody else can comment on her friend. This guy made Shi Yu sound like a naive girl, and Qian really wanted to kill him.

"Oh, don’t be mad, little one. Okay, I admit, you are the first woman to match me evenly. This round, let’s call it a draw. Out of respect for a high-level opponent, a friendly reminder: never forget your original profession."

It was unpleasant to be lectured by some unknown guy.

"A friendly reminder: I won’t let you off." Qian remarked indignantly.

She didn’t care if he was paid for his work, his methods hit Qian’s pride and vulnerable spot. She wanted to drag this annoying guy out and give him a beating.

"Look, too many people around you advocate violence, and this makes you forget your original intention. If force is a weapon used by the simple-minded, shouldn’t you, as a psychiatrist, solve problems in our way?"

Oh, come on!

Qian almost spat blood.

Being lectured by the enemy?

Is there anything more annoying?

"I don’t need you to dictate my way of medicine!"

Qian judged from the guy’s tone that his nationality definitely wasn’t local; only abroad do they call them psychiatrists, or psychologists. Psychologist is a term specific to local context.

"You need to work harder, I have high hopes for you! Brother is waiting for you to fight me again in the future. Don’t let your die-hard Qian fans use those silly ways to interrogate. Try hypnotizing the man you caught, maybe you’ll get different results."

Upon hearing this, Qian reflexively looked around.

Realizing the arrogant caller was nearby, Qian dashed out, but the call already ended, and she dialed the number back.

The call connected, and she began scanning people on the street.

The busy street, everyone looked suspicious.

Qian ran all the way, suddenly, she heard a ringtone. Following the sound, she was taken aback.

There, not far from the café, lay a white flip phone on a trash can, buzzing. Qian picked it up, seeing the displayed incoming number was her own!

The person monitoring her had been here ten seconds ago!

"Qian, what’s up?" Qiuqiu ran up, standing beside Qian.

Qian looked again and again among the crowd, yet couldn’t identify the caller.

Clutching the white phone, Qian was furious.

"Nothing, let’s head back."

Being toyed with under her nose, this slap in the face stung.

The man still refused to confess, yet Qian found a clue in the white phone she just picked up.

This phone had only three call records.

One was just dialed to Qian, the other was an incoming call, Qian dialed it, and the tied-up man’s phone started ringing.

The remaining one was a landline from out of town, also an incoming call. Qian dialed it back, and an angry voice answered.

"Mu, what do you want?"

Qian recognized the voice as the mastermind she had just spoken to.

She silently hung up and immediately thought to send the number to her brother, asking him to trace its origin.

Landlines differ from mobiles, tracing location and ownership level should yield results. The mastermind was so flustered, he didn’t even use a mobile, picking up a landline instead, not imagining he would leave such a loophole, or that Mu Hualili would leave the phone to Qian.

Tracing the landline was easy, and Qian knew she would soon find out who was manipulating behind the scenes.

Yet a stubborn feeling arose in her heart, the taunting voice from that call still echoed in her ears.

Don’t forget your original intention, try hypnosis.

Damn it!

Qian hung up on her brother’s call, deciding to interrogate the man herself!
