Chapter 93: Richard – Alpha Green Becomes The Criminal
Every word that left Clarissa’s lips stunned everyone present.
Apparently, Alpha William had a mistress living in Bloom Pack. He visited her frequently.
At one point, Clarissa overheard Alpha William’s plans through a com-orb. From that moment on, Alpha William began doing everything he could to make Clarissa appear unreliable.
That way, if Clarissa ever exposed his affair, no one would believe her. freēwēbnovel.com
But that bastard alpha wasn’t satisfied with merely turning Clarissa into an uneducated, discredited child. His fear ran too deep. In the end, he exiled Clarissa in a way that defied all reason.
"Alpha Blooms," Clarissa said, turning to him calmly. "Can you confirm whether Alpha Green often visited Bloom Pack?"
"I personally monitor the arrivals of all alphas who enter Bloom Pack," Alpha Blooms replied without hesitation. "That way, I can respond immediately if their visit concerns important matters."
"So I know that Alpha Green did indeed visit Bloom Pack frequently."
"Several times, he didn’t come alone, so I assumed he was simply vacationing here. When he came alone, I even considered greeting him, but since he didn’t report any official business, I assumed he had private dealings with others and didn’t want to interfere."
"I never imagined he was coming here for an affair."
Alpha Blooms’ detailed explanation left no room for rebuttal.
Clarissa then provided the address of the woman identified as Alpha Green’s mistress. After verification, it was confirmed that Alpha Green always went to that house.
I was in shock.
If Alpha Green hadn’t already been kidnapped, I would have torn him apart myself.
Suddenly, Clarissa sent a mind-link.
[Order everyone not to leak this information.]
Just like she said earlier, I only needed to move when instructed.
And now, it was my turn.
Layering my voice with my inner wolf’s aura, I spoke loudly and clearly.
"The Alpha Green case will be handled directly by the Royal Government. During the investigation, no one is permitted to spread this information."
My gaze swept across the alphas, enforcers, and even the warriors who happened to be nearby.
"If this news spreads, the Royal Government will not remain idle. Delaying the emergence of The Healer by five years is not a minor crime." freēwēbnovel.com
Everyone shuddered.
Werewolves had only one mate.
A werewolf could only change mates if their mate died, or if they severed the bond mark by choice.
Having two mates at the same time was a crime against the Moon Goddess.
In the past, the punishment had been banishment or execution. In modern times, those laws had loosened slightly.
If Alpha William’s only crime had been taking two mates, the case would likely have been handled solely by enforcers.
But because his actions delayed the appearance of The Healer by five years, his crime could no longer be treated lightly.
This case would undoubtedly be handled by the Royal Government.
Everyone here understood that.
With the pressure I had exerted, I was confident no one would risk their life just for gossip.
...
After the heated confrontation, I finally took control and ordered everyone to shift.
The journey could not be delayed any longer.
Although my hatred for Alpha William hadn’t faded, at least the truth was beginning to surface. And I would remain by Clarissa’s side to protect her.
Out of the corner of my eye, I suddenly caught sight of a blazing red figure.
When I turned my head, it was Clarissa.
Her crimson fur burned like living fire, her violet eyes clear and sharp. There was no doubt it was her.
She walked toward me with elegance. The sweet scent grew stronger as she shifted into her wolf form.
[You’re a werewolf, not a dog. Stop drooling.]
Clarissa sent through the mind-link, her gaze openly threatening.
I nodded obediently, though inside my head, I was only hoping we would find a place to stay soon.
Clarissa and I led the group.
Upon closer inspection, not all wolf forms were the same size.
True alphas like Alpha Black were larger than alphas who weren’t true alphas.
Meanwhile, Clarissa and I were the largest of all, slightly bigger even than Alpha Black.
The man who shared blood with me looked shocked and intimidated by Clarissa’s wolf form. In this shape, she no longer resembled the young girl he had once imagined he could trample.
"Move," I commanded.
We began running through the forest.
Clarissa moved beside me with effortless agility, showing no sign of fatigue. Her crimson fur streaming in the wind made her look like a living standard on the battlefield.
She stood out unmistakably. Menacing, yet beautiful all at once.
The journey to Bloom Pack was smooth. We didn’t stop there and instead headed straight for Black Pack by train.
I noticed Oliver’s eyes were red and glassy. He must have just said goodbye to his family.
Sorry, Oliver. The next mission was already waiting.
The train ride from Bloom Pack to Black Pack took a day and a half.
Clarissa and I were assigned to different cars. She even instructed Eson not to let me in, so I didn’t see her for an entire day.
By the time my patience was wearing thin and I felt like chewing on someone, Alpha Black suddenly entered my car.
"Soon, you’ll be able to return home, my son," he said with a forced smile.
I sneered.
"Which home?"
His face twitched. The old man wanted to get angry but clearly restrained himself. He spoke again, coated in sweetness.
"Forgive me for everything that happened in the past. Your mother misses you dearly. She prepared your favorite dishes and tidied your room in the mansion. You can rest for a few days before continuing on to Sand Pack."
"Does that woman even know what food I like?" I replied coldly.
"Oh—she must know because she asked the maids."
I was tired of playing along.
I only wanted to see Clarissa.
"Richard, don’t be like this. This time, your mother and I truly want to make amends. Everything has been prepared at the mansion for you."
His patience this time was almost impressive.
The drastic change in his attitude since our first meeting could only be because I was now able to mind-link with The Healer. That alone proved I had a strong chance of becoming Lycan King.
He was trying desperately to cling to me.
Before I could refuse, there was a knock on the door. Eson entered.
"Commander Black," he said, "Lady Rissa said she’s heading straight to Green Pack."
