Chapter 371: Chapter 369: Wife, Don’t Leave Me 4

The people around them were pointing and staring. Annabelle was about to lose it. "What does this have to do with you?!"

"I’m curious. Can’t I just want to know?"

With that, Leona Grant brazenly sat down, stretching out his long legs and completely trapping Annabelle Linton in her seat.

Annabelle Linton was literally trembling with rage!

’Oh my god, I wish lightning would strike this bastard dead!’

She clenched her fists, violence brewing in her eyes. "Let me through!"

"Explain yourself. I’m not moving until you do." Leona Grant picked up the coffee she had been drinking and took a sip, his expression making it clear he wouldn’t budge until she talked.

’Explain my ass! I was just talking to a friend. What is there to explain?!’

Annabelle Linton stared at that impossibly beautiful face of his and felt a real urge to smash it!

But she wouldn’t resort to violence in a place like this.

She suddenly fell quiet, her gaze dropping to her seat.

’Leona Grant has his legs stretched out. I definitely can’t push him away. If I try to step over his legs, the jerk will just lift them, and I’ll probably fall. That leaves only one option...’

A wicked glint flashed in Annabelle Linton’s eyes. She picked up the coffee her companion had just been drinking and threw it at him.

Leona Grant had sharp reflexes. Seeing the coffee splashing toward him, he immediately shot up to dodge it. Annabelle Linton seized the opportunity to quickly get out of her seat.

The moment she was free, she didn’t look back, her high heels going CLICK-CLACK-CLICK as she walked out.

Watching her walk out, Leona Grant realized he’d been played.

He watched her elegant, cold retreating figure, and a sharp glint flashed in his eyes.

’Think you can just walk away like that?’

’Trying to run without explaining things?’

’Dream on!’

’If I just let her go today, there’s no telling what kind of identity she’ll cook up for me next time—some distant cousin, the son of Lord Wyatt the gatekeeper, the gardener’s grandson, or a patient from a mental asylum.’

’I can’t afford that kind of humiliation.’

With a stride of his long legs, Leona Grant caught up to Annabelle Linton in just a few steps.

He abruptly hugged Annabelle Linton from behind, pressing his face into her hair and pleading, "Darling, don’t leave me!"

Being suddenly grabbed like that gave Annabelle Linton a huge scare.

Then she heard Leona Grant’s voice. Seeing the gossiping eyes of the people around them, she hissed through gritted teeth, "Leona Grant, I’m warning you, don’t you dare make a scene with me here. I will kill you."

’He knew how much she cared about her pride.’

"See? You know me after all, don’t you? And just a moment ago, you were telling people I’m your cousin!"

Leona Grant hugged her even tighter, his voice full of grievance. "How could you do this to me? We’ve slept together. I’ve kissed and touched every part of you, and you go around telling people I’m your cousin? Who marries their own cousin?"

Annabelle Linton’s face completely darkened. She violently shoved him away and strode forward. "Get lost! We’re already divorced." freewebnøvel.coɱ

Shoved away, Leona Grant watched her heartless expression, and any semblance of his own image evaporated into thin air.

He shamelessly latched onto her again, hugging her. "Darling, you can’t do this to me! Our son and I are waiting for you to come home. Do you have any idea how much he misses you? We can’t live without you! Evan asks me for his mommy every single day. You can’t just abandon us like this!"

Going all in on the act, Leona Grant had fabricated a name on the spot.

A muscle in Annabelle Linton’s brow twitched.

’What the fuck? Since when do we have a son?’

Annabelle Linton saw that the other customers in the cafe had stopped drinking their coffee and were now crowding around to watch. Her expression grew darker and darker as she lowered her voice to ask, "Leona Grant, what in the world are you trying to do?"

This was the exact question Leona Grant had been waiting for. "Don’t you know what I want to do? You divorced me because you said I didn’t have time for you, that I couldn’t be romantic. I don’t accept it! I’ll love you properly from now on. Let’s get remarried, okay?"
