Chapter 138: Chapter 132: Arise

Cass suddenly realized something. He turned to Leonel, his eyes narrowing as he asked, "Wait, you anticipated this?"

Leonel shrugged, his expression calm as he replied, "Not this exactly, but we assumed the skill would reject your blood. Since you two are still alive, that means we were at least partially correct."

Cass glanced at Zeke, a sense of unease creeping into his voice. "Please tell me we’re not going to kill ourselves again."

Zeke exhaled sharply, shaking his head. "Don’t worry, we’re not doing that. Although, I did consider it for a brief moment." He gave Cass a sidelong glance before continuing, "Ultimately, I had to decide against it. We still have to turn him using Faith, and we cannot do that if we’re dead."

Cass gestured toward Damon’s motionless body and asked, "Then what are we going to do about him?"

Zeke’s voice was firm. "We wait."

Cass frowned. "Wait for what?"

Zeke met his gaze evenly. "For the Totem to do its job."

The trio fell silent, their attention fixed on Damon’s convulsing body. They waited. And waited. Time stretched unbearably, each passing minute feeling like an eternity. Nearly an hour later, the Totem’s glow deepened, taking on a crimson hue. Damon’s convulsions hadn’t ceased, but they had weakened significantly.

Zeke’s lips curled into a faint smile. "It’s time."

Both Cass and Zeke spoke in unison, their voices layered with power, "Damon Voidsworn, arise to Aurevion."

Immediately, an immense surge of Faith was harnessed, swirling through the air and forming a cocoon around Damon. The energy pulsed, crackling with untapped potential. But Zeke wasn’t satisfied. He moved the cocoon into Aurevion, the celestial realm, and infused it with an even greater concentration of Faith.

Under normal circumstances, the sheer force of such power would have caused the cocoon to collapse under its own weight. But that was where the Totem came into play again. The Totem’s unique ability to attract and stabilize Faith ensured that the cocoon remained intact, holding the transformation process in place.

While all of this was happening, Damon was experiencing excruciating pain.

Inside him, the Skill: Devour had encountered what it perceived as an unparalleled delicacy. It recognized the Primogenitors’ Blood as something it desperately wanted to consume, but there was one problem—it could not ’eat’ it because it did not fulfill all the requirements.

Yet, Devour refused to let go. It clung stubbornly, causing Damon’s body to convulse as it fought against the blood’s influence. Meanwhile, the Primogenitors’ Blood itself was wreaking havoc within him. Its power was overwhelming, invasive, and utterly incompatible with a body that was not in its fetal stage. It had been meant for something unfinished, something still forming—Damon was not that.

His body had become a battlefield, two formidable forces waging war within his very being. Neither side would surrender, and the relentless struggle pushed him toward the brink of death.

Relief came only when the Totem intervened, acting as a mediator between the two conflicting forces. Damon wasn’t aware of how much time had passed, but suddenly, he felt himself enveloped by a soothing energy, a force so gentle yet powerful that it almost felt like a lullaby wrapping around his very soul.

His body seemed to disintegrate, breaking apart into pure essence. And with it, the Primogenitors’ Blood followed suit.

His consciousness drifted, and before he knew it, he had arrived in another space.

What he saw stole his breath away.

The vastness before him was incomprehensible—a cosmos filled with countless celestial bodies, each glowing with an ethereal light. Stars, planets, and nebulae stretched endlessly across an unknown expanse.

Then, he saw them.

Two colossal beings loomed in the distance. They were so massive that even the celestial bodies looked like mere marbles in comparison.

Despite the immeasurable distance between them, Damon could see them clearly. Their forms were strikingly similar yet distinctly different. Both had long, ash-grey hair with deep purple tips. A pair of golden and violet draconic wings unfurled behind them, majestic and imposing. Each of them had four arms, their forms exuding absolute authority.

One was clad in intricately designed armor, shimmering with celestial radiance. A pair of exquisite earrings adorned his ears, glowing faintly. The other stood bare-chested, his body covered in runic tattoos that pulsed with arcane energy. A pair of horns, elegant yet menacing, jutted from his forehead.

Resting atop their heads were crowns unlike anything Damon had ever seen. They weren’t forged from metal but rather from the very essence of the cosmos—miniature celestial bodies orbiting within the intricate structure. At the center of each crown sat a glowing orb, radiating unfathomable power.

Then, the giants spoke.

Their voices, deep and resonant, shook the very fabric of reality.

"I, Ezekiel Ashbourne, the Asuran Star of the Neo-Nephilim Primogenitors / Castiel Ashbourne, the Devic Star of the Neo-Nephilim Primogenitors, find thee worthy and transform thee into mine own kin. My Familia. My Race. Mine own blood shall course through thy veins and shape thee into a Neo-Nephilim, a celestial being born of noble lineage.

With this sacred union, thou shalt bear the strength of heavens and the wisdom of ages. As thy essence merges with mine, thou art reborn, marked by the divine heritage that now courses through thee. Rise, Neo-Nephilim, and embrace the destiny written in the stars, for thou art bound to the celestial tapestry woven by our shared blood."

Damon’s soul was drawn back into his formless body. He felt himself falling, his consciousness slipping away into a deep, profound sleep.

Much like Cass and Zeke during their own Ascensions, his body had completely broken down. The disintegrated Primogenitors’ Blood and his original form now melded together, reforming into something entirely new.

Though invisible to outside eyes, the process was breathtaking.

The Dark Fairy Essence and the Primogenitors’ Blood, once at war, now coalesced in harmony. It was as if they had gained sentience, realizing that their ultimate goal was the same—to transform and elevate Damon into something beyond his previous self.

Outside the cocoon, Zeke and Cass exchanged knowing smiles.

They could feel it. Damon had stabilized. The transformation had begun.

Since the process would take time, they left Aurevion and returned to the lab, where Leonel awaited them.

Leonel raised an eyebrow. "So, how is he?"

Zeke nodded, satisfied. "We succeeded. Now, we just have to wait for him to emerge. Hopefully, the results will be worth the effort." freёweɓnovel.com

Leonel smirked. "Who knows? Maybe this will be an opportunity like no other for him."

Cass frowned. "What do you mean?"

Zeke answered before Leonel could. "His Neo-Human bloodline was still adapting to the Dark Fairy Essence. Although both were a part of him, they remained two distinct bloodlines—much like us before our evolution.

But now, something different is happening. The transformation might force them to integrate completely, creating a singular, fused lineage. Even I can’t predict what he will become.

A being with four perfectly harmonized bloodlines—three of which belong to some of the strongest races in existence."

Cass blinked. "Four bloodlines?"

Zeke nodded. "Yeah. Neo-Human, Sol Angel, Ash Demon, and Dark Fairy."

Cass whistled. "Sounds like the makings of a protagonist from a web novel."

Zeke chuckled. "I know, right?"
