Chapter 102: Chapter 96: Pioneer
While he said this, he also sent a message through the Faith threads that connected him to his followers. This included all of the Cult members and the sleeper cells.
He said, "It is time. Commence your mission. Neutralize all our enemies. And remember, do your best to preserve all techniques and records."
Then, he and his subordinates sneaked into the venue. It was already the last day, so right now, the Tournament was at its peak. It was the finals: Namgoong Yoon, the Sword King, vs. Moyong Kang, the Crazy Blade.
The match ended with Moyong Kang’s victory. When Zeke saw his crazy manner of fighting, without any regard for injuries, he felt that Moyong Kang would fit right in with the Cult. Unfortunately, he also knew that it was impossible. These heirs had been taught to hate the Cult since they were babies.
When Namgoong Yoon had conceded, Moyong Kang roared at the top of his lungs, "Who else!? Who else from our generation wants to challenge me? I swear on the Moyong name that I will accept all challenges."
His open challenge and the peerless aura that accompanied those words resulted in a huge cheer from the crowd. Just as Moyong Kang thought that nobody would dare to challenge him, he heard a voice:
"I wonder if the Moyong heir would accept my challenge?"
Moyong Kang looked around but couldn’t find the source of the voice, so he replied, "Come forward, O fearless one. I accept your challenge."
Zeke slowly walked onto the arena. He was wearing his hood, so no one could see his face. Many masters from the Great Sects and Clans tried but failed to sense anything unusual. They could tell that something was wrong but decided to do nothing because it would tarnish their reputation if they openly stopped someone from the younger generation.
Moyong Kang said, "Identify yourself, warrior."
Zeke said, "I’m just a no-name warrior wanting to test himself. I’m 28 years old. Can we begin now?"
Moyong Kang glanced at his empty hands and said, "You don’t have a weapon."
Zeke replied, "I don’t need a weapon for the likes of you."
Moyong Kang said, "Your provocations won’t work on me."
He glanced at the referee and motioned for him to start the match. The referee looked at Zeke, who indicated that he was ready.
The referee said, "Begin."
Moyong Kang felt a breeze. It was also the last thing he felt. As soon as the referee had begun the match, Zeke had appeared in front of him and punched him. His head had quite literally exploded.
There was pin-drop silence. The audience, the guests—everyone was shocked. Zeke used his Hell Qi to burn the brain matter and other gunk off his arm.
Then he said, "Well, that was anticlimactic."
In the VIP stands, an old man stood up and screamed, "KANGAYAA!!!"
He looked at Zeke with red eyes. He was about to rush over, but the old man sitting beside him stopped him. He had a thick but groomed beard. frёeweɓηovel.coɱ
He stood up and asked calmly, "Who are you?"
Zeke took off his hood and said, "You must be the leader of the Righteous Alliance, Namgoong Geom-Ryong. I don’t know if it’s a coincidence or what, but my name is Cheon Ryeong-Hwang. The members of the Divine Demonic Cult address me as the Heavenly Demon."
(Zeke’s name roughly translates as Heavenly Dragon Emperor, while Geom-Ryong means Sword Dragon.)
There was a series of gasps from the common folk while all of the guests stood up in horror. They had heard that a new Heavenly Demon had ascended to the throne five years ago, but they had never thought that he would be so young.
Namgoong Geom-Ryong quickly recovered from his shock and said, "What are you doing here?"
Zeke laughed and said, "Isn’t it obvious? I thought it would be obvious. I’m here to finish what my father started. I’m here for war."
Namgoong Geom-Ryong said, "I think you have a death wish. Why else would you choose this day to attack us? I don’t sense any of the Demon Monarchs here. Do you think you can fight all of us, alone?"
Zeke smiled and asked, "Who said that I’m alone?"
He whistled, and the elite task force began their work. They had one goal: Kill anyone who wasn’t an Ultimate Demon or Transcendent, except for ordinary mortals. They were not to be touched. Yonggi was to supervise them and ensure that no fish escaped.
Seeing the massacre that was taking place below, the Transcendents of the Righteous Alliance knew they had to take action. fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓
Seeing that they were about to attack, Zeke said, "Kshetra Vistaram: Asurasya Agamanam."
He transformed into his Asuran form. Seeing his sudden transformation shocked his opponents. But what shocked them more was the aura that he was emitting. He was a Transcendent, just like them, but his aura—it was something beyond that.
Zeke decided to take the most annoying opponent first. He held out his palm, and a circle made of runes manifested above it. He said, "Nether Spear."
A spear made out of his Hell Qi shot out of the circle, and before anyone could react, it had stabbed into the head of the Head of the Jaegal Clan. He was dead. One of the strongest people in Murim had died just like that.
Zeke looked at the circle on his hand and said, "So it works. Hmm, but I need to do something about its stability. It would be impossible to operate it without Faith. No wonder Mammoth Head said that humans stand no chance. I haven’t even fully stepped into this new realm, and my strength has already reached a different league."
Yes, Zeke was experimenting even when he was surrounded by enemies. After his talk with Mammoth Head, he knew that he had the potential to step into a new realm. So he had begun experimenting. This time, he took inspiration from...
