Chapter 533: Chapter 531: Witch Ancestral Land, a Grotto-Heaven World

The cloaked man’s voice was hoarse and sinister. Combined with his face crawling with centipedes, he was a horrifying sight.

But Gu Yuexi’s expression did not change in the slightest.

"Is this how the Witch Race treats its guests?"

As her voice fell, several more men emerged from the fog in all directions, surrounding her.

The cloaked man spoke again:

"Heh heh heh... you are the Holy Daughter’s guests."

"But that doesn’t necessarily make you guests of the Witch Race."

"Take her away!"

And so, under the control of Spirit-Binding Chains, Gu Yuexi followed the man forward.

The group walked through the vast, black fog for the time it takes an incense stick to burn.

Ahead, a faint light finally appeared.

It was an ancient, dilapidated altar.

It wasn’t large, built from black stones etched with weathered totems.

In the very center of the altar stood a massive bone pillar. Inlaid at its peak was a fist-sized, gray orb, which emitted a dim, gray light.

The cloaked man stopped.

He raised a hand, slit his wrist, and let his blood drip onto the orb on the bone pillar.

The moment the blood touched the orb, it was instantly absorbed, and the originally gray orb immediately turned blood-red.

The other men also came forward one by one, slitting their wrists and dripping their blood onto the orb.

The orb turned a deeper and deeper shade of red.

Finally—

BOOM!

Directly above the altar, Space suddenly tore apart.

An ancient, eerie gateway slowly opened.

"Get in."

The cloaked man waved his hand.

Gu Yuexi was pushed forward, stepping through the gateway.

The scene before her eyes changed in an instant!

...

’This is... daytime?’

’Just a moment ago, it was nighttime outside.’

’But here... everything is bathed in a gray light!’

Gu Yuexi narrowed her eyes, adjusting to the sudden brightness.

The sky was a faint bronze color. There was no sun, yet a cold light showered down from the dome above.

The fog was thick, a vast expanse of white.

In the distance, mountain ranges rose and fell.

These mountains were different from those in the outside world—it was as if they had been forcefully ripped from the earth by some colossal power, leaving them exceptionally steep!

Buildings were constructed on every mountaintop, built from giant stones and adorned with countless totems, appearing and disappearing within the fog.

The air was filled with an ancient aura.

It was like stepping ten thousand years into the past.

「Meanwhile.」

Chu Sheng also poked half his head out of Gu Yuexi’s inner pocket.

He gently wiggled his antennae, sensing the Spiritual Qi of this world...

’Holy cow!’

’The Spiritual Qi concentration here is at least ten times denser than outside!’

He closed his eyes and immediately activated his upgraded [Chaos True Sight]!

Instantly, a clear image of the area within a hundred-thousand-meter radius appeared in his mind.

And compared to his previous Nether Vision, the current Chaos True Sight not only provided a clearer God’s Perspective but also had a "free camera" view...

Meaning—he could zoom his vision into any detail within his range, as if he were there in person!

For example.

Before, you could only look down from a thousand meters in the air. But now, you could be right next to your target, observing it up close.

Of course, doing so consumed Mental Power.

’Just what kind of place is this Witch Ancestral Land? A hundred-thousand-meter field of vision, and I still can’t see past these mountains.’

"Buzz buzz."

From inside Gu Yuexi’s pocket, he gently touched her with his mosquito leg.

Gu Yuexi impassively glanced down at him before looking away again.

Just then, the cloaked man suddenly turned his head.

His gaze fell on Gu Yuexi’s clothes—or more precisely, on the half-visible mosquito head poking out.

The corner of his mouth twitched, his eyes revealing a trace of disdain.

However, the centipedes on his face suddenly seemed to take fright, scrambling back into his orifices.

...

And so, the cloaked man led Gu Yuexi up a towering mountain.

The entire mountaintop seemed to have been sliced flat by Sword Qi, forming a massive plaza. In the center of the plaza stood an enormous black stone hall.

Crossing the plaza, Gu Yuexi was escorted toward the black stone hall.

Along the way, Gu Yuexi encountered many strangely dressed Witch Race People.

They looked at her with gazes full of resentment. They put their heads together and whispered, but she couldn’t understand a single word.

They were speaking the Witch language.

The language was similar to the one Yao had used when chanting spells.

Faced with these gazes, Gu Yuexi’s expression remained unchanged, her eyes fixed forward.

’If you can’t understand it, don’t bother listening.’ This was an attitude she had learned from the dead mosquito.

Soon, she was brought before the stone hall.

The hall’s doors were tall, at least thirty feet high, and carved from a single slab of black stone. A ferocious beast’s head was carved on the lintel above, its eyes inlaid with some kind of red Gemstone that glinted eerily in the gray light.

The doors opened.

It was even darker inside than out.

The hall was extremely deep, with two rows of massive stone pillars stretching back into the darkness.

The pillars were covered in carved totems and runes, which faintly flowed with light. At the far end, a high platform was vaguely visible, but what stood upon it was unclear.

Gu Yuexi was escorted to one side of the hall.

There were several stone chairs and a stone table. Torches were set in the walls, their flickering flames making the shadows dance, growing long and short.

The cloaked man finally stopped.

He turned, stared at Gu Yuexi, and warned:

"Stay here and behave. Don’t try anything funny."

"Someone will be here to see you shortly."

Gu Yuexi glanced down at the Spirit-Binding Chains fastened to her feet.

The black chains, covered in runes, were wrapped around her ankles, emanating an extreme cold.

"Oh," she replied softly.

Then she raised her hand, using her fingers as a sword.

A sharp glint of cold light shot out from her fingertips, so fast it was almost invisible.

SNAP.

The Spirit-Binding Chains broke with the sound, dissolving into a puff of black smoke.

Seeing Gu Yuexi’s action, the cloaked man and the other Witch Race People beside him were instantly stunned!

"!!!"

"Th-that’s impossible!"

He stumbled back a step, and the Witch Race People behind him instantly tensed up, their hands moving to the Witchcraft Artifacts at their waists!

Just as they thought Gu Yuexi was about to escape and were preparing to attack,

Gu Yuexi paid them no mind at all.

She slowly walked over to a nearby stone chair and gently brushed it off.

Then, she calmly sat down.

"Heh."

"Relax, I’m not leaving."

"I’d like to see just who wants to meet with me!"

Gu Yuexi’s tone was calm, yet tinged with a hint of pride.

The cloaked man’s expression flickered, but he finally just snorted coldly.

"Watch her."

Then, his figure quickly vanished.

...

「Inside the stone hall.」

Gu Yuexi looked down at her chest again. Seeing the black mosquito inside her pocket, she frowned slightly.

’Where has that dead mosquito gone now?’

That’s right.

Back on the path, when Chu Sheng had poked her with his mosquito leg, the real him was already gone. The one in Gu Yuexi’s pocket now was just a clone.

Gu Yuexi shook her head in resignation, though she wasn’t worried.

She closed her eyes and began to carefully sense the world around her.

She had a faint feeling that the Heaven and Earth Laws of this Witch Ancestral Land were slightly different from the outside world’s.

Gu Yuexi was extremely sensitive to the Power of Law, but for the moment, she couldn’t quite put her finger on what the difference was.

’This Witch Ancestral Land seems to be... a world of its own.’

’Could it be the legendary... Grotto-Heaven World?’
