Chapter 896: Chapter 896: Reincarnation’s Green Tea

While Draconic Heaven, the hottest part of the main galaxy, was reaching its boiling point, another deep and powerful meeting was taking place elsewhere.

"Nice of you to join me again," Said Reincarnation, the old woman as she sat down on her wooden chair.

Sitting close and on the other side was a blonde-haired, tall, muscular, and stern-looking man with two lion ears and a lion tail folded behind him.

He wore a simple black round-neck shirt and green trousers to complement.

His eyes were not focused on the literal god that sat before him; rather, they drifted to the surrounding scenery.

Laid between the All-King and Reincarnation was a simple white marble tea table and on it were two empty cups with a steaming kettle placed on the side.

"Well, you’re the one that contacted me, if not I didn’t even know how I was going to meet you again," Kael said coolly.

He was incredibly relaxed.

This was just a clone. No matter what happened, the real and original body was still in the Alphaverse, preparing for something else.

"Hehe," Reincarnation, the old lady, chuckled weirdly.

Although there was no physical change different from the last time he saw her, Kael knew that things may not be so certain for the God of Reincarnation herself to call him back.

Before, she had left a back method for Kael to call her. It was the little access link that Kael had on his system.

However, contacting her with that access link just meant that he would be opening the doors of all his powers to her.

Kael would never do that, when he now had alternatives to what Reincarnation had proposed.

In fact, Kael had already thought of not even bothering to contact Reincarnation again. Sure, it would mean that he would not have access to the locations of all those Primordials.

But that was a small price to pay for him to maintain his autonomy.

He would just have to settle for manually creating the Primordials from scratch.

Kael, who had forced the birth of the Primordial Horse and the Primordial Phoenix, both of whom had never existed before, knew that it wasn’t that easy.

Kael needed a template for it to work. He needed a race or species.

If there were no horses or Phoenixes, Kael wouldn’t have been able to do anything simply because he did not have the cosmic power of creating races from scratch.

Everything he had came from the Main Universe. He was the only true native of his own Alphaverse, and that was fine.

Now, Reincarnation had reached out to Kael of her own accord and had spoken of having a cordial meeting.

Of course, to be safe, Kael sent a clone this time.

Now, he sat across from the goddess of Reincarnation and was about to have a bit of tea.

Reincarnation, seemingly undisturbed by whatever was actually going on right now, wore a thin smile on her face.

Her big eyes stared down as she stretched her aged wrinkled hands to touch the kettle.

Her fingers brushed the handle of the ceramic kettle, feeling the heat from the liquid inside. She enjoyed this feeling quite well as the smile on her face actually got wider.

Kael observed her in a relaxed manner. He found it oddly fascinating how simple Reincarnation could be while actively managing the reincarnation of thousands of creatures every second.

Even as they say here, Reincarnation’s mind was fractured into thousands of pieces, and she probably had clones or avatars divided into different timelines and regions.

She was always working as that was the source of her godly power.

Reincarnation gently grabbed the handle of the kettle, raised it up as naturally as naturally could be, and aimed the hot neck at one of the cups.

She tilted the kettle and a hot green liquid was poured out.

The whole scenery almost came alive as Kael inhaled the aroma coming from the hot tea.

He and Reincarnation sat in the middle of a vast expanse in Samsara Heaven. There was nothing around them besides a sprawling expanse of green grass.

The wind was fresh and gentle upon their skin. The light from the clear blue sky was so soft to the eyes that a mortal would have felt like they were sitting in a lucid dream.

And most of all, the Origin Essence in this world is incredibly thick. Kael didn’t know if every part of Samsara Heaven was just like this place.

Reincarnation finished pouring the hot green tea into Kael’s cup, then showed her hand to pour some for herself.

Her movements were not wasted at all.

All that was left was the silence, the strong aroma of tea, and the caress of the cool wind.

"Back to business, about our deal..." Kael said, breaking the silence. He knew that Reincarnation may not want to lead the conversation, lest she look desperate.

She was the one who called him after all, which was not supposed to be so in her own plans.

"Yes, business," Reincarnation said as she brought the cup of tea to her mouth and sipped.

Seeing this, Kael also brought the tea to his mouth. His lips sucked on the edges of the teacup, taking in the green liquid.

Excellent.

Fantastic.

Kael did not have enough words to describe the tea that he was taking. It was so fantastic that he paused.

A whole Mid-Level Immortal, a Primordial Lion, had to pause his movements so that he could appreciate some tea.

Kael’s soul, or at least, the fragment of his soul that was in this clone, experienced a feeling of ascension like no other.

Some intoxicating substances were meant to make people feel high. This green tea made Kael feel low.

He suddenly felt like a mundane mortal once again.

Sitting there, stunned, Kael’s past lives flashed before his eyes, playing over and over again within that second.

His mind was exposed to the true definition of clarity and his breathing became much calmer.

This was the kind of substance that mortals would wage interstellar wars over. If any mortal human were to take this green liquid, they would probably awaken powers, remember their past life, and shatter their Devolution Seed.

Presidents and warlords would start world wars over this. Beauties would turn barbaric just for a sip.

And yet, Reincarnation caused it for tea, simply.

Kael sighed, "What do you use to make this tea?"

Reincarnation smiled sweetly, one might think she actually felt any sort of relatable empathy with how naturally her smile came.

"If I told you, you would add it to your power boosters. Isn’t True honey enough for you?" Reincarnation asked, closing her eyes and savoring the taste of the green tea as she took another cup.

Kael shook his head, "I’m afraid nothing has ever or will ever be good enough for me," He said, a rare moment of brutal honesty.

Reincarnation sighed as well, "I can see that. At least, that’s what has kept you alive and driving all this time.

It is also what has allowed you to achieve so many shocking things in such an amount of time.

I respect that.

But sometimes, you should understand that you cannot take everything for yourself..."

Kael chuckled, "You say that because no one has tried to take everything.

But have you thought of what the Highest Will will gain if he acquires his legitimate reason to wipe out the universe?" Kael asked, suddenly changing the entire flow of the topic as his expression became more serious.

Reincarnation was silent.

She couldn’t say that she did not know.

"He is already the Steward, holding the largest reserves of universal right and power ever.

With everything but him wiped out. It is either the universe evolves its future races to abide by his Law, or he just gets the privilege of reshaping the universe into his perfect image.

Either way, none of that would be possible if he eliminated everything except the gods.

Everyone in the Divine Tier except him must go, and you know it.

In short, the Highest Will is going to take everything and keep it for itself.

Can you see? Your advice that I should understand that I cannot take everything for myself is misplaced..."

Kael put down the cup of tea which was half finished by now. He rested his back and wore a smile.

"If I don’t take everything, someone else will take it, and they will take what’s mine as well.

Shouldn’t I just take it all and crush the possibility of ever being vulnerable to that scenario?

Tell me, Reincarnation? Am I wrong? Or should I just sit and watch...like you?"

Reincarnation shook her head, "I’m not going to sit and watch. I’m talking with you after all.

If I wanted to die, you wouldn’t see me, ever."

"Oh, then it’s established that you and I don’t want to die then.

Instead of stupidly playing out who breaks first, why don’t we just lock heads?

Why not just work together instead of trying to get the upper hand over the other? Survival is the first priority.

A win-win situation is always better than no situation at all."

As Kael said this, he referred to Reincarnation and he knew why she called him. He was not dumb, she was not dumb, there was no need for pointless ceremonies.

"I take it that you don’t like my former deal," Reincarnation said.
