Chapter 86: A New Valencia Part 2: Transformation

Morning came quickly and the party made preparations to leave. They packed bags andSora thought of an idea to teleport to them, leaving Brie alone at home momentarily. Back at the settlement, Soren and Lyra were waiting anxiously for Rissa and company to arrive.

"There’s my girl!" Soren said as Sasha ran up and gave him a large hug.

"Excuse us, but we’re going to see my family. I believe they need to meet my lovely girlfriend," Lucious said happily.

Rissa admired the Valencia castle as they walked through. She’d never been inside before, and she dreamed of being in one of these castles as a child. She never imagined she’d actually get the opportunity to join one.

When they arrived in the room, there was a chair with straps on it. This freaked Rissa out a bit, but Julius’ hand and positive energy calmed her.

"Ok, now I know this setup looks scary, but it’s so you don’t lash out and come after us. I really wish we had Brie with us today but things are what they are." Lyra said politely.

"Don’t worry, I’ll be able to calm her! Maybe not with as much control as Brie can, but I certainly have the necessary skills to make sure she’s comfortable. My goddess powers will work just fine. You trust me right Rissa?"

"Yes Celeste I do! Well, I’m ready."

She gave Julius a quick kiss on the cheek and rushed to the chair. She jumped in without hesitation and had a large smile on her face.

"When I wake up, I’ll have a sister! I can’t wait!"

Celeste used her tranquility spell to ease Rissa’s mind and she slowly began feeling sleepy. Levi, Sasha, Bishop, Leila, Julius, Luna, Faye and Aegir looked on and encouraged Rissa.

Lyra bit into Rissa’s neck and held for about 10 seconds. Rissa’s body started convulsing and her eyes began rolling into the back of her head.

The struggle continued and Julius finally decided to grab her hand.

"Fight Riss! I know you’re strong enough to do this. I love you!"

Rissa found herself in a dark room. She searched for anything or anyone, but only saw herself in the black space.

"Go away, you’re ugly!" the clone shouted.

"Who the hell are you calling ugly? I’m quite beautiful and you know it!"

The clone snarled and attacked Rissa. Rissa fought back and tackled her. She pinned both of her arms to the ground and used her tail to put it right to the throat of the clone.

The clone tried to kick, scream, and claw her way away, but could only shout insults at her.

"You’re not strong enough to be in an Original family. You’re just a dumb girl who’s confused and lost. You’re even dating a hideous demon. Who the hell do you think you’re fooling?"

"I’m not some dumb girl! Sure, he’s a demon, but who the hell cares about that? What matters is the person, not what race they are!" Rissa shouted, ready to puncture the clone’s throat.

"Then why do you doubt it sometimes? Why do you think he might snap and hurt you? I know all of your deepest secrets," the clone snarled.

"Everyone has doubts in their life! Even Sora does! If someone as perfect as Sora can have doubts, so can I. No go away and let me be who I want to be!"

The clone evaporated and Rissa jolted awake.

"Rissa! Your eyes! They’re so beautiful." Julius said as he quickly unstrapped her.

"Don’t unstrap her yet, she’s not finished!" Lyra yelled.

"She’s not going to hurt me."

Rissa stared at Julius with an evil glare. "You’re just a hideous demon. Why would anyone love you?"

"You don’t really mean that. I don’t know whatever you just went through, but I love you and I don’t care that you’re a vampire. You’ve always made me happy and that’s what’s important."

Rissa paused. The anger in her eyes started to fade. She was finally coming around from the black space.

"I love you too Julius, I’m so sorry I said that!" she said while bursting into tears.

Julius hugged her. "Sh. It’s ok. I’m sure you had to do some crazy things in that mental space. I know that wasn’t really you. Cry it out if you have too."

The Valencias and party watched in awe. This was something that never happened. They usually waited for the vampire to recover in the chair before they unstrapped them because they would attack the person they cared about most. Even Sasha wanted to go after her Father when he turned her.
