Brie and Sora woke early as the sun barely peaked over the horizon. Sora kissed Brie and laid in bed, smiling while looking at her.
"What do you want to do today? I think we should go exploring!" Brie said as she returned his loving gaze.
"That sounds great. We’ll walk with Xander to Athena and head out. Where do you want to go today?"
"Let’s try finding the portal to Chronos’ realm. It’d be really nice to see him! It feels like it’s been so long and we’ve never really been together when we’ve met with him."
"Sounds good." Sora said as he hugged Brie tightly. "We could always make use of our alone time again."
Brie loved the attention she received from Sora. He always gave her plenty, but here, away from the distractions and responsibilities, if Xander was sleeping or with Athena, Brie had Sora all to herself. She ripped off his clothes quickly.
Xander woke up about an hour later and walked into the kitchen. He poured a bowl of cereal and grabbed a book he found in Athena’s personal library the day prior.
"Vampires Explained by the goddess Selene," Xander said as he opened it.
He flipped through each page quickly, absorbing every bit of information.
Sora and Brie walked into the room holding hands and gave Xander a kiss on the head.
"Morning buddy. How’s your book? You haven’t put that down since you picked it up yesterday!" Sora said with a large smile.
"Well, Dorian and Camilla are the first vampires to exist; however, in two different universes, they’ve recently come into existence. One universe started having them 100 years ago, the other 50 years ago." Xander explained. freeωebnovēl.c૦m
Well, the 50 year old vampires do not get along. In this universe, Selene chose a female vampire first. That female vampire turned her husband. She quickly grew tired of him and cheated. Because she turned another man into a vampire, their race is cursed." Xander said with a frown. "What does it mean to cheat on someone?"
"I am married to your dada, right Xander?" Brie said with a smile.
Xander nodded with a smile, "And you two love each other very much and had me as a baby!"
"Correct. Now, say I decided to go have a baby with Uncle Levi and your dada didn’t know about it. That would be very rude and inconsiderate wouldn’t it?"

"That is what cheating is. When you love someone, you should stay with that person. If you don’t want to be with that person anymore, you should end your relationship. Even if it’s hard, it hurts or even if it hurts their feelings. That’s much better than sneaking around loving someone else behind that person’s back." Brie explained.
"Got it. Anyway, I’m going to meet Athena. You two don’t have to walk me today," Xander said as he gave his mom and dad a kiss and sprinted out the door.
"Woah, what’s up with him?" Sora laughed. "He loves when we walk with him."
"Let’s follow him and find out? I’m curious why he’s so excited to see Athena today."
"We’re spies!" Sora laughed. "Just like his secret mission!"

Brie and Sora kept their distance and hid amongst the other souls walking through the main living area. Xander stopped once in a while and took a notebook out of his back pocket to jot down a name or two. He always wrote the names in code to protect himself. The last thing he wanted to do was drop a notebook with a list of names of dark purple or black souls.
Brie and Sora noticed Xander frequently repeated this habit, which made them uncomfortable.
"How many people could possibly be working with The Fallen? He’s already written down 10 names and it’s been twenty minutes. If he keeps this pace, he’s going to be late to see Athena." Brie said with a frown. "It can’t just be gods and goddesses. It has to be regular souls as well."
"There are so many people up here. The gods and goddesses who want to betray Athena have so many to choose from. I’m sure they have someone who can wipe memories for those who turn the notion down," Sora said as he grabbed Brie’s hand and teleported away.
Xander chucked. ’They think they’re so sneaky. I have great parents. I’m worried about how many traitors there are, though.’
Sora and Brie landed on the far Northwest side of Paradise near a giant lake.
"Sora, this is beautiful. How did you know about this place?"
Sora laughed. "I didn’t, I honestly just thought of a random location and teleported. Luckily I didn’t drop us right into the water! That was close!"
Brie rolled her eyes and giggled. "What’s that over there, on the other side of the lake?"
Brie teleported to the other side of the lake and Sora followed.
’What did she see that I didn’t?’
Brie grabbed Sora’s hand and kept walking beyond the lake. They eventually reached a large valley filled with flowers, animals and a smaller lake.
"This is beautiful. What planet do you think is that, right over there?" Brie pointed out into the distance.
"I think that might be Nexus. Let’s take a deeper look?" Sora suggested.
The two sat in a relaxed, meditative position and took deep breaths as they concentrated on the planet. Eventually, they could see the bullet trains, the maps, and zoomed in on their financial institution where Mr. Dingsdale worked.
"So those are his children! They look just like him." Sora stated calmly.
"They really do. Why do they all look upset with each other, though?" Brie asked as she tapped her finger on her chin.
"Not sure. It’s moving too slowly for us to tell. Hopefully everything is ok." Sora said. "Let’s keep walking. Let’s see if we can finally find a portal to another realm!"
Brie popped up and extended her hand to Sora. Sora gladly accepted it and gave her a kiss when he stood in front of her. They continued walking for a while and noticed a forest area for the first time.
"Interesting. We are quite far out today. I wonder what’s in this forest?" Brie asked as they continued to walk at a brisk pace, hand in hand.
The dirt road traveling through the heavily covered forest came to a fork.
"We always go left." Sora laughed.
"I don’t know why, but we have done that since our third or fourth dungeon. It’s always worked so I don’t question it!" Brie giggled.
The two continued walking until the dirt road came to an abrupt stop.
"Huh. That’s strange. Why did it stop?" Sora asked Brie.
"Not sure, let’s just keep going?" Brie said as she pulled Sora forward.
About 15 minutes later, they noticed several large black stones in a strange formation. One of them looked out of place, so they decided to look at it more closely.
"Sora, what does this symbol mean? Have you ever seen it?" Brie said as she brushed her hand over and eye with pentagram for pupils.
"No, I haven’t, but all of the stones have really weird symbols on them. This place is giving me the creeps."
"Yeah... I don’t like this. Let’s head back?" Brie said.
As they turned to walk back, they fell through brush into a portal and fell into a different realm.
"Where are we and how do we get back?" Sora said as the portal above them looked impossible to reach. It was about 100 feet in the air and when they tried teleporting, they simply fell back to the ground.
