Staring at the murderous glare from Autumn Sawyer and the amusement in Kevin Kent’s eyes as he watched two women supposedly vie for his affection, Lucy White took a deep breath and said quietly, "...I don’t want to argue. I’m leaving. Could you please let me pass?"

She was living on the Simmons family’s charity, relying on them for her very survival. She was terrified that if she provoked Kevin Kent, he would expose her past.

Seeing Lucy White back down, Autumn Sawyer rolled her eyes smugly and taunted, "You want to leave? Fine. But first... you have to slap yourself twice and swear you’ll never try to seduce a man again! If you do that, I might just consider being merciful and letting you off the hook."

Seeing her silence, Autumn Sawyer frowned in annoyance. "What are you waiting for? Get on with it!"
Her voice was loud enough that many people in the auction hall were drawn by the commotion and began to turn and stare.
Lucy White finally snapped. Clenching her fists, she snarled at Autumn Sawyer, "Are you insane? Just because you go around seducing men, you think everyone else does too? If you put this much drama into your acting, maybe you wouldn’t be called a talentless hack! Now get out of my way! Or I’m calling security!"
"You!" Lucy’s words struck a nerve. Autumn Sawyer felt a surge of fury rush to her head.
Her eyes widened, glaring daggers at Lucy White. Her beautiful eyes were filled with rage, and her chest heaved violently as if she were about to explode.
She glanced at the wine glass in her hand, raised it, and moved to splash its contents all over Lucy White.
But Lucy White was faster. The moment Autumn Sawyer moved, she slapped her hand with a sharp SMACK. The red wine sloshed out, spilling all over Autumn Sawyer’s own dress.
"Ah!" Autumn Sawyer shrieked. She looked down at the large red stain on her dress, absolutely furious.
She lifted her head, her eyes promising murder as she looked at Lucy White. "You little bitch, are you looking for a death wish?! This is a designer haute couture dress! You couldn’t afford it if you sold yourself ten thousand times!"
Just as Lucy White was debating whether she should just shove them aside and run for it, another voice cut in—
"So this is where you were."
The sudden male voice made all three of them freeze.
The three of them looked up at the same time, turning toward the sound to see Zane Simmons walking over.
"Pres... President Simmons?!"
When Kevin Kent saw Zane Simmons, it was as if he’d seen the God of Wealth descend from the heavens. His eyes lit up with excitement.
Forgetting all about Lucy White, he hurried forward, a fawning smile plastered on his face. He bowed obsequiously to Zane Simmons. "My goodness! President Simmons! It really is you! For a moment I thought I was so excited I was seeing things!"
Kevin Kent assumed Zane Simmons had come looking for him specifically, and he was ecstatic. He repeated a mantra in his head: ’My ancestors are smiling down on me! They truly are! Could it be? Am I, Kevin Kent, finally about to board the Simmons family’s ship?!’

Zane Simmons glanced from Kevin Kent and Autumn Sawyer to Lucy White, who was cornered by the pair. He frowned. "What’s all this?"
Lucy White looked up at Zane Simmons, nervously fidgeting with her sleeve, unsure of how to explain.
Seeing his chance, Kevin Kent quickly interjected, "It’s nothing, nothing at all. We just ran into a troublesome woman. I’ll get rid of her right now so she doesn’t bother you, President Simmons!"
He then turned to Lucy White and hissed, "What are you gaping at? Get lost!"
Kevin Kent’s only thought was to get Lucy White out of there before she ruined his chance to curry favor with Zane Simmons.
Unexpectedly, Zane Simmons’s expression darkened at his words.
He raised an eyebrow, looking at Kevin Kent. "Oh?" he asked, his voice low. "Tell me, how exactly was she being troublesome?"
Kevin Kent froze, not expecting such a question.
He rubbed his hands together awkwardly, unsure how to respond.
Seeing this, Autumn Sawyer hurried forward, flashing a sweet smile at Zane Simmons. She pointed at Lucy White. "President Simmons, you see, this girl has no shame. She was actively trying to seduce my Kevin! Honestly, I have no idea how someone like her even got into this hotel..."
After speaking, Autumn Sawyer gave Zane Simmons a knowing look. "President Simmons, as you know, my Kevin has always conducted himself with integrity. He wanted nothing to do with her. Lucy White looked up at Zane Simmons. After a moment’s hesitation, she raised her finger and pointed at Kevin Kent. "He came over and started harassing me. I didn’t want to engage with them, but they blocked my way and wouldn’t let me leave..."
Then she pointed to the stain on Autumn Sawyer’s dress. "And she was the one who tried to throw wine on me. I just put my hand up to block it, and she ended up spilling it on herself..."
