Chapter 130: Chapter 130: Don’t Tell Me My Cover Is Blown
Shen Nian froze. ’What’s going on? Was I kicked out of the space? Could something have gone wrong inside?’
A wave of anxiety washed over Shen Nian. She closed her eyes and willed herself into the space.
She opened her eyes. ’Huh, I’m in! And the space still seems to be normal!’
’Wait, something’s not right.’ Shen Nian quickly realized that entering the space this time felt different than before.
Shen Nian closed and opened her eyes again. She was still in the bathroom. After doing this several more times, she finally understood what was happening.
And once she understood, a wave of pure elation washed over her.
’Talk about a wish coming true! I was just thinking how great it would be if I could see inside the space without my body having to go in, and in the blink of an eye, I’ve figured out how to send my consciousness in instead.’
Her consciousness entered the space, but her body remained outside, appearing as if it had simply fallen into a deep sleep.
’This is perfect! It’ll be so much easier and more convenient to study in the space now!’
Moreover, Shen Nian soon discovered another benefit to studying in the space with just her consciousness: her memory and comprehension were far stronger than before!
’This space is an incredible treasure! No wonder that lucky master of mine was able to achieve so much after obtaining this Medical God Space all those years ago!’
With that decided, Shen Nian didn’t linger in the bathroom. After finishing her shower and changing her clothes, she returned to her room, lay down on her bed, and sent her consciousness diving back into the space.
’This way, even if someone enters the room, they’ll just see me sleeping, and I won’t have to rush out of the bathroom in a panic.’
Once her consciousness re-entered the space, Shen Nian headed straight for the study on the house’s second floor. The texts and manuscripts her master had left behind were all neatly arranged there, already sorted by category.
One category was on the fundamentals of Chinese medicine, including human acupoint charts, the types and uses of Chinese medicinal herbs, and basic medical theories—it encompassed nearly all of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Another category was on acupuncture. It contained every Acupuncture Technique her master knew. If Shen Nian could master them all, the benefits would be endless. Her master had even left behind several sets of exquisite Golden Needles for her here.
A third category consisted of her master’s notes from his lifetime of practicing medicine, including every illness and condition he had ever encountered. If she could fully absorb all of it, it would be like instantly gaining all that medical experience herself.
A fourth category was for formulas—all kinds of remedies her master had compiled over the years for external application, internal consumption, health preservation, and cosmetic purposes.
There was one last category that was a pleasant surprise for Shen Nian: volumes upon volumes of Cultivation Techniques. She even saw the legendary Five Animals Qigong, Tai Chi Boxing, and Muscle and Tendon Change Technique among them. Some were for tempering the body, while others were for cultivating one’s character and spirit.
But among all of these, what Shen Nian prized the most was a certain Spiritual Energy Cultivation Method.
This Cultivation Technique was complementary to the space; it was something her master had obtained from the space itself when he first acquired it. Furthermore, this technique could only be cultivated using the Medicinal Spirit Qi found within the space.
Cultivating Spiritual Energy wouldn’t just improve Shen Nian’s physical constitution; more importantly, she could use the Spiritual Energy to treat illnesses and save lives.
For example, if acupuncture were combined with Spiritual Energy, the two would complement each other, and the effect would be far greater than what could be achieved with acupuncture alone.
She could learn the basics of Chinese medicine, her master’s insights, and the various formulas gradually. The Spiritual Energy Cultivation Method, however, was something Shen Nian planned to start practicing right away.
Fortunately, the method for cultivating Spiritual Energy wasn’t difficult. The most crucial component was the Medicinal Spirit Qi within the space. And to maintain the space’s Medicinal Spirit Qi, she couldn’t run out of Spiritual Medicine.
’It seems that in addition to planting the medicinal seeds in the space as soon as possible, I’ll also have to gather some top-grade medicinal herbs to bring in here from time to time.’
Immersed in the wealth of knowledge her master had left behind, Shen Nian completely lost track of time. By the time it occurred to her that her consciousness had been in the space for quite a while, she had no idea how much time had passed in the outside world.
’I’m doomed, I’m doomed! Don’t tell me I’ve been found out!’
Shen Nian quickly put away what she had been reading and hurriedly pulled her consciousness out of the space and back into her body.
The moment she opened her eyes, she was met with a handsome, elegant face, mere inches from her own.
