Qin Mei smiled but said nothing. ’Would Liu Guihua even dare cause a scene at the Jie Family’s home?’
"The divorce is the young couple’s business. She wouldn’t dare throw a fit in front of Director Jie," another woman chimed in. "Doctor Qiao is just Jing Er’s stepmother; she can’t make decisions for him. What’s more, after the divorce, Doctor Qiao had Jing Er and Xiao You move into the housing provided by the machinery factory. If Liu Guihua wants to cause trouble, she’ll have to go to the factory to find Jing Er."
If they thought about it carefully, they would realize that ever since Qin Mei arrived, the Xu Family hadn’t managed to take advantage of the Jie Family once. Just then, Xu Chunwang walked over with two police officers.
"Officers, this is the place," Xu Chunwang said.

Qin Mei recognized the police officer in the lead: Gao Yang.

’Liu Guihua had gotten her fill of cursing and fighting at the Lin Family’s home, and now she was playing the victim, expecting the police to get justice for them.’
’If I’m not mistaken, Mr. Lin will be taken away for hooliganism.’
Xu Chunwang rushed to the front, pounding on the door. BANG! BANG! BANG!
"Mom, Sis, don’t be afraid! The police are here!" Xu Chunwang shouted.
Hearing Xu Chunwang’s words, Liu Guihua and Xu Chunyan started crying even louder. Liu Guihua stopped cursing and began repeating over and over, "Lin Zhuzi acted indecently toward me."
Xu Chunyan stopped adding fuel to the fire and simply cried along. This sudden transformation left Mr. Lin and Li Axiu staring at the sky, utterly speechless.
"Open the door." Gao Yang’s low voice was filled with authority.
Trembling, Mr. Lin opened the courtyard gate and called out timidly, "Officer."
Gao Yang saw that Mr. Lin had several scratches of varying depths on his face, his clothes were wrinkled, and a button was missing. The three people inside the courtyard were also injured. ’Is this a case of indecent assault, or was this a brawl?’
Gao Yang cleared his throat and asked in a formulaic tone, "What’s the situation?"

’Can’t hide anymore.’ Qin Mei stepped forward and looked at Gao Yang, calm and composed. "Jie Jingchen asked me to save them."
Gao Yang was taken aback, not expecting Qin Mei to be so direct. He let out a hearty laugh. "Regardless, you’re the one who saved them. After my wife is discharged from the hospital, I’ll be sure to bring her to your home to thank you properly."

Qin Mei said, "You’re a police officer. You can’t just listen to one side of the story. Lin Zhuzi has a wife. Does it make sense for him to harass Liu Guihua in his own courtyard, right in front of his wife? Liu Guihua, on the other hand, is a different story.
