Chapter 1161: Chapter 1161: Is She Shamelessly Spreading Rumors About Our Relationship Behind My Back?
Even though it later came out that those people weren’t actually Bella Green’s biological parents, it was said that the foster parents who had originally been her real parents had already passed away.
The person in front of her could not possibly be Bella Green’s mother.
On the other side, Sophia Latham was suffocating with frustration, terrified that Mason Bennett would blow up at her for not handling her job properly.
At the same time she was furious—how could this woman be so shameless.
If she hadn’t been worried the woman would stand downstairs screaming and making a scene, there’s no way she’d have been given the chance to slip through and run up here.
Sophia Latham hurriedly called the security department, telling them to come and throw this woman out through the back door.
The call hadn’t even gone through yet when she saw Mason Bennett already pulling open the office door and walking out.
Looking at the strange woman sitting on the floor making a scene, Mason’s expression went dark and cold.
"What’s going on?"
Mason asked coldly, looking over at Sophia Latham.
This secretary, aside from Elliot Morris, was the most reliable at handling things, yet she’d actually allowed a woman to come here and throw a tantrum.
The moment she saw Mason, Lily Johnson’s eyes went straight.
Even though she’d never seen Mason before, the face and aura of the man in front of her had already shocked her to the core.
She didn’t even need to ask; she could immediately tell this man was the owner of this building.
The very same Mason who could casually pull out fifty million to help her pay off her gambling debts.
Just a moment ago Lily Johnson had been screaming herself red in the face, but now her eyes practically lit up, and her flushed cheeks turned even redder with excitement.
Before Sophia Latham could speak, she scrambled up from the floor, half crawling, and rushed to stand in front of Mason.
"Oh my, you must be Mason, right? I’m Xylia’s mom. Xylia talks about you all the time."
Lily Johnson’s face was almost blooming with smiles, her gaze at Mason filled with greed and ambition.
When the woman stated her identity, the air around Mason seemed to drop to absolute zero in an instant, a chill so cold it was suffocating.
His brows and eyes radiated ice, as he stared coldly at the woman in front of him.
"If I’m not mistaken, you should be on a train to Hyattville right about now."
Mason’s tone was unhurried, but the chill in it was enough to make one’s heart pound.
Lily Johnson, however, thought she had nothing to fear, her grin so wide her gums were showing.
"So you’ve been paying such close attention to our Xylia. That’s right, Xylia’s tickets were all booked already, but this kid, she actually never told us her boyfriend was also in Brocade City, didn’t even arrange for us to meet. Since you’re in Brocade City too, of course we’re not going back to Hyattville. Besides, Xylia still has to go to school here, doesn’t she?"
Listening to Lily Johnson’s words, Mason pressed his lips together, his jaw tense, anger surging through his chest as he stared coldly and viciously at the loathsome woman in front of him.
"Looks like Xylia Xandrell still hasn’t learned her lesson. Is this how shamelessly she’s been spreading rumors about our relationship behind my back?"
Hearing Mason’s words, Lily Johnson’s smile froze, but in the next second she forced it back on.
"Mason, what are you talking about? You and Xylia have been together for so many years, that can’t be fake, right? Besides, you never told her you were breaking up. Even if you don’t want our Xylia anymore, you should at least give us an explanation."
Hearing Lily Johnson’s true purpose laid bare, the corners of Mason’s lips slowly lifted in a mocking curve.
He walked over to the desk, picked up a check from it, and held it out in front of Lily Johnson.
"Fill in whatever amount you want." After he spoke, he glanced at the time and continued.
"I’ll have someone book the earliest flight or train to Hyattville City for you. From now on, you and Xylia Xandrell are not to appear in Brocade City, and you are not to appear in front of me or Bella Green ever again!"
