However, after a few steps, she stopped again. Right then, there was no one around; she decided to change out of her wet clothes and shoes, or else she’d be really uncomfortable.
Moreover, she didn’t want to get sick at all, so changing first was the best option.
Thus, Jiang Xue surveyed her surroundings and instructed the Little Fox in her space to keep watch, in case anyone came close and discovered her.
After the Little Fox agreed, Jiang Xue quickly slipped into the space, changed into rain boots, and swapped all her clothes before emerging again.
Meanwhile, Mu Qiancheng and Gong Bei, due to a light jog, had almost caught up with the team.
"Qiancheng, you’re truly fortunate. First, your sister-in-law chased you all the way to Beijing, and now she’s followed you here. It’s really moving when you think about it."
Upon hearing this, Mu Qiancheng shot Gong Bei a look, then replied, "What, are you envious? If you are, go find someone yourself."
