This time, she slept quite long, and it was the broadcast on the train that woke her up. At first, Jiang Xue didn’t pay much attention, as train broadcasts are frequent, usually just about arrivals.
However, when she heard it the second time, she realized it wasn’t an arrival announcement, but that someone on the train was sick and they were looking for a doctor.
Jiang Xue initially intended to go take a look, but thinking again, she wasn’t a doctor. Besides, she thought there must surely be a doctor on the train, so she didn’t bother.
Nonetheless, she still got up from her bunk, planning to walk around in the carriage. After all, sleeping for such a long time was uncomfortable.
Jiang Xue walked around the carriage for a while but found the broadcast was still looking for a doctor. This time, Jiang Xue didn’t hesitate any longer and turned around, striding towards the carriage where the sick person was.
After all, this way she wouldn’t just be idling, and the train wouldn’t reach the station soon, so it wouldn’t hurt to take a look. Who knows, she might even do a good deed.
Thinking this way, Jiang Xue quickened her steps. Fortunately, the two carriages weren’t far apart. Jiang Xue was in the hard sleeper, and the sick person was in a soft sleeper, just three carriages away.
As she entered the soft sleeper carriage, she was stopped by the attendant guarding the doorway, who said, "What do you need?"
Jiang Xue glanced at the attendant before saying, "I’m a doctor. I heard there’s a sick person here, so I came to take a look."
"You’re a doctor?" The attendant looked at Jiang Xue suspiciously and hesitated for a moment before letting her in.
Jiang Xue didn’t think much of it and walked directly into the carriage. However, when she saw a few fully armed bodyguards standing inside the carriage, her expression changed slightly.
Jiang Xue paused her steps for a moment before continuing. At this point, the bodyguards had already noticed Jiang Xue, and all their eyes were on her.
Those gazes were like swords, making Jiang Xue somewhat uncomfortable. She took a deep breath and then walked boldly towards them.
Standing in front of them, Jiang Xue said calmly, "I’m a doctor, where is the patient?"
Yet, it was unclear whether Jiang Xue seemed too young, or perhaps too poised, but the bodyguard standing in front blocked Jiang Xue and said coldly, "You’re a doctor?"
Jiang Xue nodded, and only then did the other party say, "Show me your ID card."
"ID card?" Jiang Xue frowned, she had left her ID in her space. But in front of so many people, and this bodyguard looked like a tough one, how was she supposed to get it out?
Seeing Jiang Xue hesitate, the bodyguard’s expression slightly changed, looking warily at Jiang Xue, lightly fingering the trigger on his gun.

The bodyguard was stunned upon hearing this voice and then shouted, "Elder Jun?"
