Chapter 1182: Chapter 1182: Late-Night Call

So Jiang Xue made the Little Fox go and fetch some firewood, then had the Big Tiger place the wild boar in the yard outside the kitchen to roast it over a fire.

As for the task of turning the boar, she directly handed it over to the Big Tiger and Little Fox, while she went back to the kitchen to roast other things.

Once Jiang Xue had roasted the other items, the boar began to give off a delicious aroma.

After brushing on the sauce, Jiang Xue signaled to the Little Fox and Big Tiger that they could go eat the things cooked in the kitchen, while she stayed by the wild boar to continue roasting it.

Half an hour later, the entire boar was cooked, emitting a sweet and fragrant smell. Savoring this aroma, the Little Fox and Big Tiger, who had just finished eating roasted shark meat, started drooling again. They looked at Jiang Xue and asked, "Woman, when will this roast boar be ready?"

"Soon!" Jiang Xue replied, turning the roast boar once more. After waiting for another twenty minutes, the boar’s skin had turned a golden color, and only then did Jiang Xue stop, saying to the Little Fox and Big Tiger, "It’s done!"

The word "done" was like a magic spell that opened the taste buds of the Little Fox and Big Tiger, making their salivation even more joyous.

Jiang Xue muttered to herself about their lack of restraint, then went into the kitchen to fetch a knife and plates, and began to carve the meat.

She had just cut off a chunk when the Little Fox raised a hand and snatched it away, leaving the Big Tiger quite aggravated. It growled and started competing for the meat.

Watching the tiger and fox fighting for food, Jiang Xue laughed and sped up her carving. When she had a second plate ready, the Little Fox returned. But this time, Jiang Xue handed the meat directly to the Big Tiger.

The Little Fox gazed at Jiang Xue, accusingly saying, "Woman, you’re being biased."

"Biased?" Jiang Xue looked amused at the Little Fox, replying, "If I were biased, then the first plate should have gone to Brother Tiger. Don’t forget, it was Brother Tiger who hunted this wild boar."

Upon hearing this, the Little Fox dared not say a word. It looked at the rest of the meat on the rack and said, "Well, be quick, the third plate should be mine."

Jiang Xue chuckled, remaining silent as her hands kept moving. In no time, she had carved another chunk.

After seeing three plates of meat carved, Jiang Xue realized they had only taken one-fourth of the boar’s meat. She then paused and said to the Little Fox and Big Tiger, "I’ll take a wild boar leg, and you can split the rest."

She then chopped off a wild boar leg, brought it out of the space, and placed it in the kitchen.

After settling the boar leg, she returned to the space, washed off the grease and smoke, and went to the mountaintop to cultivate for a while before bringing Little Reunion out of the space.

Upon coming out, she also grabbed a medical book. After settling Little Reunion on the bed, Jiang Xue pondered whether she should pursue a medical license.

After all, if she planned to diagnose and treat others in the future, it would be better to have a license. But there was no rush at the moment; she would wait until after the summer vacation.

Once the summer vacation was over, she’d return to school and ask Principal Huang about how to proceed.

With her mind made up, Jiang Xue seriously began reading the medical book. After half an hour, as it was getting late, she decided to rest.

It was then that Jiang Xue’s phone rang. She thought it was Mu Qiancheng, and without hesitation, answered the call.

However, upon hearing Nangong Chen’s voice from the phone, her expression changed, and she asked, "Why is it you?"
