Chapter 1168: Chapter 1168: The Puppets Take Action

As for what was different, Nangong Chen didn’t say much and Jiang Xue didn’t ask. She just sat in the chair, as if appreciating the night view. But only Jiang Xue knew that she was communicating with the Little Fox at that moment.

She had been sitting for a while; the pain symptoms on Nangong Yao should have been alleviated. She thought it was necessary for those puppets to take action now.

So, Jiang Xue asked the Little Fox if the location would affect its command of those puppets, specifically those burly men previously under the Soul Capturing Technique.

The Little Fox tried it out, then said to Jiang Xue, "The distance here is indeed a bit far. If you move forward about twenty meters, I can rescue those puppets that are locked up and let them confront Nangong Yao."

"Alright, I’ll go forward and take a look then." Jiang Xue suddenly stood up, startling Nangong Chen, who involuntarily asked, "What’s the matter?"

"I’m going to walk a bit forward." Jiang Xue replied indifferently, and without paying further attention to Nangong Chen, she started walking directly ahead.

Nangong Chen watched, his eyes flickering. Because moving forward, it led to Nangong Yao’s house. He too stood up afterward and followed Jiang Xue toward Nangong Yao’s house.

However, he was wrong again. Jiang Xue did not head to Nangong Yao’s house at all and instead stopped fifty meters away from it, gazing at the house in a daze.

"What are you doing?" Nangong Chen asked Jiang Xue with a confused look, then added, "Up ahead is where Nangong Yao lives, aren’t you planning on going over?"

"No need, standing here is fine." Jiang Xue shook her head, then fixed her gaze on the lights of Nangong Yao’s house, mentally asking the Little Fox if the distance was suitable or if she needed to move closer.

The Little Fox, engaged in sorcery, responded upon hearing Jiang Xue’s question, "It’s fine now. I am working on diverting those guards away and preparing to release them."

"Alright, hurry up, otherwise standing here late at night would easily arouse suspicion."

"Sure, I got it. You can walk around nearby; just stay within a fifty-meter range."

"Alright, I got it." After finishing her communication with the Little Fox, Jiang Xue walked to the side. Nangong Chen watched, full of questions, but refrained from speaking.

Jiang Xue walked for a while then stopped, telling Nangong Chen, "It’s getting late. If you have things to do, you can leave first."

Nangong Chen shook his head and said, "I’m fine. You’re not too familiar with this area, so I’ll walk around with you."

Watching Nangong Chen stay put, Jiang Xue didn’t say much more and continued to wander silently. Nangong Chen observed Jiang Xue walking around silently, occasionally wanting to speak but swallowing his words each time.

He wasn’t actually sure what to say to Jiang Xue or what to talk about. In the end, he simply accompanied Jiang Xue silently, circling around Nangong Yao’s house again and again.

While Jiang Xue wandered aimlessly, the Little Fox was busy nonstop. It first diverted those guards by using the Soul Capturing Technique on one of them to open the door and released those people.

Once released, they went straight toward Nangong Yao’s location. Naturally, they encountered others on the way, but those were quickly knocked down or scared off by their sudden moves.

In doing so, the burly men smoothly reached the outside of Nangong Yao’s room and extended a hand to push open the door.
