"Where are you taking me to eat something delicious?" Bai Yue asked cheerfully, linking her arm with Wu Yun’s as soon as she sat down in the car.

Wang Wei and Xie Qi froze for a second, then snapped to attention. "Hello, boss lady!"
Bai Yue felt awkward being called "boss lady."

Like a startled rabbit, Bai Yue darted into the bedroom and shut the door.

Wu Yun took Bai Yue, now changed into a T-shirt and shorts, down the elevator to the Western-style restaurant.
"Welcome. Sir, do you have a reservation?" the hostess asked with a smile.
After giving his name and phone number, Wu Yun was led to a booth by the window where two place settings were already laid out.
What Bai Yue didn’t see was the large cardboard box placed under Wu Yun’s seat.
After they ordered their steaks and some appetizers, Bai Yue finally took a moment to curiously look around at the restaurant’s decor.
The lighting was soft but not dim, and the decor had a chic, sophisticated feel, perfect for a couple on a date.
’Are most of the people at the surrounding tables couples, either dating or married?’
Of course, there were also groups of girlfriends having a get-together. It was rare to see a table of grown men sitting there, fork in left hand, knife in right.
Seeing that Bai Yue’s attention was on her surroundings, Wu Yun bent down and opened the box. A huge bouquet of roses suddenly sat on the floor.
"Bai Yue!" Wu Yun said, sitting up straight. His eyes were full of deep affection as he looked at her.
Bai Yue turned to look at him, taken aback by his sudden change in demeanor. She grew shy under his intense gaze and averted her eyes. "Why are you staring at me like that? Don’t even think about making any perverted requests."
Her voice trailed off, getting quieter and quieter. If it weren’t for Wu Yun’s excellent hearing, he probably would have only caught the first half of her sentence.
"I’m going to show you a magic trick!" Wu Yun said with a smile.

The moment Bai Yue turned to look behind her, Wu Yun bent down and swept the bouquet of roses up into his arms, holding it against his chest.
"Where? I don’t see..." Bai Yue trailed off as she turned back around, only to see Wu Yun holding a massive bouquet of roses.
A smile bloomed on Bai Yue’s face, but as she smiled, tears began to stream uncontrollably down her cheeks.
Bai Yue choked back a sob. "Ah Yun, thank you for the surprise."
Wu Yun stood up and handed the roses to Bai Yue, wiping away her tears with his free hand. He smiled and said, "My confession back then was a bit rushed. There was no gift... I just tricked you into being my girlfriend with two songs, and I’ve felt guilty about it ever since."
"So, when I came to see you today, I was already planning to surprise you and make up for the gift I missed last time! You’re not allowed to refuse!"
After he finished speaking, Wu Yun pulled a small box out of nowhere, printed with the word "Cartier."
Bai Yue was a good student; she recognized the brand immediately.
