Chapter 1109: Chapter 1109: I Want a Divorce
In the middle of the night, Hayley Cole’s door silently opened a crack, revealing a pair of anxious eyes.
In the pitch-black villa, those eyes shone brightly, and after looking cautiously around to ensure no one was around, she quietly stepped out of the room.
When closing the door behind her, she also made sure not to make the slightest sound.
Subsequently, Hayley Cole lifted her legs high and placed them down lightly as she descended the stairs, tiptoeing the entire way without making a sound.
It wasn’t until she exited the main entrance that Hayley put on her shoes, then ran outside like mad.
Unbeknownst to her, as she left the villa, the curtain of James Reed’s room moved slightly.
Standing by the window, James Reed saw all of Hayley Cole’s actions, and a mocking smile appeared on his lips as he leisurely lit a cigarette and took a drag.
He truly didn’t want this fool, Hayley Cole, but now was not the best time to divorce her.
He was a person with deep emotions and loyalty, and the things online were just someone trying to sully his name.
No matter what, he couldn’t really become the conniving villain people spoke of.
Since Hayley wanted to run, let her run; it would serve as a chance to show his best side.
The ringing phone shattered the night’s silence, and Hazel Bennett shot up in bed. Just about to get out, Frederick Cole stopped her: "I’ll go."
Frederick had just finished speaking when the phone stopped ringing, and shortly after, Jason Cole knocked on the door, saying, "Dad, Mom, Hayley Cole is outside; should I let her in? She says it’s urgent."
Frederick glanced at Hazel Bennett, whose worried eyes made him sigh lightly and say, "Let her in."
Hayley Cole stumbled in, and the moment she saw Hazel, tears started flowing: "Mom, Mom, I want to divorce James Reed!"
"What? Did James Reed bully you?" Hazel exclaimed, asking with concern.
"He..." Hayley hadn’t finished her sentence when the Cole Family phone rang again. Jason Cole answered, covered the receiver, and turned to Frederick, saying, "Dad, Mom, James Reed is outside; should I let him in?"
"No, no, no..." Hayley shook her head frantically, "Don’t let him in."
Hazel Bennett gave Hayley a disapproving look and said, "Hayley, don’t be afraid. Speak clearly face to face, even if it’s about divorce; you still need to meet."
"I..."
Frederick nodded to Jason, who then allowed someone to let James Reed in.
Soon, James Reed rushed in, and his anxious eyes relaxed only upon seeing Hayley Cole.
He greeted Frederick and the others, "Chairman Cole, Manager Cole, Mom."
James Reed was still quite tactful. After all, Hayley Cole had already severed ties with Frederick, and he wasn’t pushing to ingratiate himself with Chairman Cole and the others.
"Hayley, why did you suddenly run back?" James Reed looked worriedly at Hayley Cole, saying, "It’s so late; what if something happened?"
"James Reed, stop pretending; I want a divorce!" Hayley tried hard to move closer to Hazel Bennett, "Mom, I want a divorce."
After hearing this, James Reed obviously looked hurt, and with a helpless, bitter smile, said, "Hayley, I know I’m not working at Seymour Corporation now, and you think I’m a failure, but my company has already started, and I’ll ensure you have a good life."
