Chapter 246: Love and Jealousy
Stan pulled the Audi into the parking lot of Peak University’s athletic complex. The morning sun glinted off the glass walls of the modern gym building as he stepped out, duffel bag slung over one shoulder.
The distant sounds of sneakers squeaking and balls bouncing echoed from inside. Practice was already in full swing.
He had barely taken a few steps toward the entrance when he spotted Sophie.
She was standing near the side entrance in full cheerleading gear, the outfit leaving very little to the imagination.
The cropped white-and-gold top hugged her torso like a second skin, the fabric stretching taut across her full, heavy breasts and creating a deep, enticing cleavage that jiggled subtly with every small movement.
The crop top ended just below her ribs, teasingly exposing a tantalizing strip of smooth, feminine stomach; flat, flawless, and impossibly inviting.
Stan swallowed hard, his throat tightening as he fought the overwhelming urge to reach out and trace his fingers slowly across that warm, silky skin right there and then.
Her short pleated skirt flared playfully around her wide hips and thick, shapely thighs, the hem barely covering the lower curve of her perfect ass. Long, athletic legs were accentuated by attractive white knee-high socks and cheer shoes. Her black hair was tied in a high ponytail that swayed with every turn of her head, and light makeup made her striking eyes pop.
She looked impossibly sexy. Every inch the campus dream girl, radiating confidence and sensuality.
The moment Sophie saw him, her entire face brightened with pure, radiant joy. She waved enthusiastically, ponytail bouncing. "Over here, Stan!"
With a slight smile, Stan walked over. Sophie didn’t wait. She closed the distance and grabbed his hand, interlacing their fingers tightly as if afraid he might vanish.
"I heard you and Maya are cheerleading for the game," he said, eyes drifting appreciatively over her figure again. He couldn’t help but gulp at how the tight top strained against her generous chest.
Sophie winked, her cheerful smile turning playfully seductive. "It’s all for you, Stan. I wasn’t going to do it, but when Zack mentioned you might play... well, I couldn’t resist the chance to cheer for my man." She leaned in closer, her full breasts brushing deliberately against his arm. "So what are you doing here at the gym area? You guys practicing here too before heading to Velaris Crown?"
Before he could answer, Sophie suddenly slid her arms around his broad shoulders, pulling him into a deeper, more intimate embrace. Rising onto her toes, her eyes half-lidded with raw longing, she captured his mouth in a kiss that ignited like wildfire. ƒгeewёbnovel.com
The kiss was fervent and all-consuming. A desperate reclamation after a few days that felt like long days apart. Sophie poured her soul into it: the gnawing ache of missing him, the cold spike of fear she always feels when not with him, and the fierce, possessive love that had only deepened in his absence.
Her soft, plush lips pressed hungrily against his, warm and yielding yet demanding, molding perfectly to his mouth as if they were made for this.
She parted them with a needy sigh, her tongue slipping inside to dance with his in slow, wet strokes, tasting the faint salt of his skin, the lingering hint of his morning coffee, and something uniquely Stan that made her head spin.
Soft, breathy moans vibrated from her throat into his mouth, her fingers threading through the hair at his nape as she tilted her head, deepening the angle.
Her full, heavy breasts crushed firmly against his hard chest, the thin fabric of her cropped top doing little to hide the rapid thrum of her heartbeat or the way her nipples had already tightened into sensitive peaks.
Stan responded with equal intensity, one hand settling possessively on her curvy waist while the other slid down to splay across the warm, bare skin of her lower back, fingers pressing into the dip just above the waistband of her shorts.
He pulled her flush against him, his body a solid wall of heat and strength, devouring her moans as their tongues tangled hotter, wetter, more urgent.
The faint, sweet scent of her vanilla body lotion mingled with the subtle musk of her arousal in the charged air between them.
When they finally broke apart, gasping, their foreheads rested together. Their mingled breaths came in warm, ragged puffs.
Sophie’s cheeks were flushed a deep rose, her eyes glistening with unshed tears of relief and longing, lips slightly swollen and glistening from the intensity of their connection.
The world around them slowly filtered back in. Distant chatter from the gym entrance, the occasional whistle or catcall from a passing teammate, but Sophie didn’t pull away.
She stayed pressed against him, fingers still tangled in his shirt, silently daring anyone to say a word. This was her man. And she was never letting go.
"I missed you, Stan," she whispered, voice thick with emotion. "You’ve been ignoring my messages more than usual... and you didn’t come to my place yesterday even though I begged you so earnestly in my DMs."
"I wasn’t in Inksea," Stan replied softly, thumb stroking her waist. "I was in Velaris. I paid a visit to my aunt and my childhood friend, someone I hadn’t seen in nine whole years."
Sophie’s expression softened with understanding, but a flicker of insecurity crossed her face. "Oh... that’s understandable. But I don’t know why I feel like there’s new competition..."
"Competition?" Stan furrowed his brows, feigning innocence.
She nudged him playfully, rolling her eyes even as she smiled. "Don’t play dumb, Stan. Do you think I don’t know you’re a playboy with multiple girls wrapped around you? I’m not sure if the childhood friend is a guy or a girl." Her tone was light, but the vulnerability underneath was clear. She loved him deeply, but the sharing still stung.
Stan sighed, pulling her closer. "Sophie..."
She hugged him tightly then, burying her face in his neck and enjoying his warmth. Her body molded perfectly against his, breasts pressing softly yet firmly into him.
"Don’t worry, Stan," she whispered hotly against his ear, voice trembling with emotion. "I love you. I know I can’t have you all to myself forever... but I’ll try my best to keep you as mine for as long as I can. Just... don’t forget about me, okay?" freёweɓnovel.com
"I could never forget you," he murmured, kissing the top of her head. "You’re unforgettable, Sophie."
They lingered in the embrace a moment longer, lost in each other, before slowly starting to walk toward the gym entrance, still hand-in-hand.
As they moved, a figure approached from the side. It was Maya.
The moment Maya saw their interlaced fingers and the intimate closeness between Stan and Sophie, the flushed cheeks, the lingering intimacy of the kiss she had clearly witnessed, a sharp pang of jealousy stabbed through her heart. She bit her lower lip hard, trying to suppress the sting.
’Why does he always seem to prefer Sophie over me?’ Maya thought, a jealous pout forming on her pretty face. ’She gets to kiss him so openly, to hold his hand like that... It’s been so long, I want that too. I want him to look at me the same way.’
The jealousy burned hot, but it wasn’t the destructive kind.
Maya had always been quietly competitive, especially when it came to Stan. Seeing this only fueled her determination. ’It’s not like we’re officially dating yet... but that doesn’t mean I have to accept second place. I’ll make him love me more than Sophie, more than any other girl. I’ll be sweeter, bolder, more irresistible. He’ll see I’m the one who truly belongs by his side.’
Pushing the hurt down, Maya forced a bright smile and waved as she approached. "Stan! You actually came. Zack will be so relieved."
