When the twins woke up Eden was already gone. After showering they left for the dining room. Zishu joined Zhenxuan who was already there. He took a seat on his right and filled his plate. Zhenxuan looked at him and asked:
"Are you okay?"
Zushi looked at his brother and swallowed with difficulty.
"It’s him, he’s the one we’re supposed to spend the rest of our life with."
Zhenxuan sighed.
"I know that’s why we’ll do whatever we have to do to make him ours we will."
He knows it’s harder on Zishu because he’s more sensitive. If he found it hard to wake up without Eden he can’t imagine what it must’ve been for Zishu. Zishu passed his hand through his hair.
"I get it but I don’t like that feeling, he should’ve been at our sides when we woke up."
Zhenxuan caressed his brother’s head and said:
"I know but at least now we’ll know where he is at all times."
Zishu nodded, It does make him feel better.
Eden was in his laboratory working. He checked the hour and left for the restaurant he would usually eat lunch at. He entered the private room he had reserved.
Yan stood in front of the private room looking at the door for a long time. He looked down when he pictured Eden leaving their brother’s house again this morning. His hands tightened into fists. After five more minutes, he entered the private room. When he saw him Eden who had been looking down sad immediately looked up and smiled. Yan smiled and took a seat in front of him.
"Hey."
"Hey, are you okay? I called but you didn’t pick up."
Yan couldn’t stop himself from asking:
"Do you care if I’m okay?"
Eden answered as a matter of fact:
"Of course, I was worried something might’ve happened to you."
Yan just looked at him in silence and then asked out of the blue:
"What did you think of my brothers?"
Eden blushed and answered:
"I liked them."
Yan’s eyes darken.
"What did you like about them?"
"I like how sweet and thoughtful Zishu is and how determined and passionate Zhenxuan is."
"You got all of that just from yesterday’s dinner?"
"We had already met before when they delivered me my order."
Yan simply nodded. He doesn’t even know why he’s asking about that. Clearly, Eden enjoyed getting fucked by them and he never cared for him. Or maybe he felt obligated to spend the night with his brothers.
There are two of them and he knows how fierce they can be while Eden is sweet and obedient. He knows that the way Eden acts with his family is just a front because he is hurt by their greed. He needs to make sure he stays away from them in the future.
"You don’t have to like them just because you and I are friends."
Eden opened his mouth but nothing came out. He looked down sad.
"What’s wrong?"
Eden murmured:
"You said that you wanted me to meet them because they’re important to you and I..."
Eden looked up and after forcing a smile he said:
"Nevermind."
Eden started to eat in silence. Yan looked at him understanding that his theory was right. Eden only did what he did because he cares for him. He unconsciously relaxed and started to eat.
At the end of the lunch, Eden stood up and walked to the door. Before he could open it Yan pulled him in his arms. He murmured:
"I’m sorry."
Eden pulled back and asked:
"For what?"
Yan looked into his fearful eyes and swallowed with difficulty. He can tell he doesn’t want him to find out so he’ll act like he doesn’t know, he owes him that much.
"For being late I won’t be tomorrow I promise."
Eden relaxed and smiled.
"It’s okay I’ll always wait for you."
Yan’s heart skipped a beat and he looked at Eden touched. He grabbed his hand and they walked out of the restaurant. He rode with Eden insisting on accompanying him to his work. He could feel Eden’s happiness which somehow made him happy. When they arrived in front of Z Elixir he entered with him. He kissed his cheek and watched the elevator door close with a smile.
When he turned around he was surprised to see Yinglun. She was looking at him wide-eyed. He grabbed her wrist walking out with her. He got into his car and sent the driver away. He asked:
"What is it?"
Yinglun asked:
"Are you and Eden together?"
Yan chuckled and asked:
"Aren’t we engaged?"
Yinglun said:
"I saw you two entering. You act like a couple and yesterday at dinner it was the same. You realize we are just using him right?"
Yan looked at her with cold eyes.
"I know what I’m doing so stay out of it."
Yinglun frowned and asked in fear:
"You don’t have feelings for him right?"
Yan looked at her with annoyance and said:
"You better not say anything to Eden and mess this up or you’ll never get his inheritance. Do you understand?"
After a few seconds, Yinglun nodded and left. She got in her car and looked at Yan’s car leaving.
She came to Z Elixir to get money from her father and she happened to spot Yan. She was about to go to him when she saw how close they were. They act like they are a couple, yesterday at his house it was the same. She saw how he whispered in his ear and the entire dinner they spoke together. Is Yan engaged to her or Eden? She doesn’t care that he is feeding him poison she’ll never accept someone else putting his or her hands on her fiance even less that disgusting Eden.
She saw the way Eden looked at Yan she knows that he loves him. He treats his family like crap while he is gentle and sweet to Yan. She has to destroy him, she needs to find a way to make him sign his inheritance away now.
When Yan heard a knock on his car window he unlocked it and the person entered. Huang took a seat and closed the door.
"How are things going?"
"Good, he’s done ingesting the poison."
Huang smiled viciously.
"The contract has been written already. I’ll talk to him tomorrow and as soon as he’s done with my father’s experiment I’ll kill him."
Yan simply nodded.
"You have to speak to Yinglun."
Huang looked at Yan surprised.
"Why?"
"She caught me walking Eden to work this afternoon and I could tell she was jealous."
Huang frowned, he knows how possessive Yinglun is but he’s sure she won’t do anything to ruin the plan. She wants more than anyone for Eden to die.
"She’ll never do anything to jeopardize the plan."
Yan felt like laughing, he’s never met such a pathetic father.
The reason Yinglun is such a brat is all because of Huang’s terrible parenting.
"She would and you know it. I won’t fix whatever mistake she’ll make that’s why I’m telling you."
Huang was a little surprised by Yan’s tone but he thought maybe he was sick of having to spend so much time with Eden and Yinglun doing anything would force him to spend more hours with him.
"I’ll talk to her."
Yan nodded.
Huang got out of the car and Yan left for home. When he arrived he stayed in the car not moving. After a few minutes, he gave the chauffeur a new address. When he arrived he entered the empty building and got in the elevator with a bag in his hand. He walked to Eden’s laboratory. When he heard sounds he hid and peeked inside the lab.
The door was half closed and he could hear multiple voices. He frowned not understanding who would show up at Eden’s laboratory at this hour. He came to bring him dinner because he knows how hards he works but it seems like someone beat him to it. He moved closer and watched as two men backed Eden into the corner.
Once Eden was in the corner Zishu and Zhenxuan each blocked the way out. Eden looked at them surprised. He asked:
"What are you doing here?"
As a response, Zishu kissed him. The kiss was sweet and full of love, it made Eden’s heart beat faster. He broke the kiss and Zhenxuan kissed him. The kiss was just as tender and loving. He pulled back and looked into their eyes his cheeks flushed. The twins each caressed one of his cheeks with a smile, he looked so adorable. ƒгeewebnovёl.com
Zishu said:
"We saw that you were in the laboratory so we brought you food."
"You tend to forget to eat when you’re working."
Eden smiled.
"Thanks."
Zishu just looked down while Zhenxuan smiled. Eden tilted his head and took a step forward. He asked:
"What’s wrong Gege?"
Zishu looked up and forced a smile.
"Nothing we should go."
Eden nodded. When the twins turned around he held their wrists. They both turned.
"Do you want to have dinner with me?"
Zishu’s eyes lit up and the pit in his stomach Eden felt disappeared.
"We do."
Eden put the food on the table and after sitting Zishu at the head he sat on his lap. Zishu held onto him and ate with the other hand. Eden ate and occasionally fed Zhenxuan who would happily oblige. There was this comfortable atmosphere as they ate.
For a long time, Yan looked and listened to them talking and laughing. It seems his brothers like Eden more than he thought. He was sure that to them he was like any man or woman they had slept with but that’s not the case. He saw the sadness on their faces when they were about to leave. Those two never feel anything besides for each other. But now it seems like they feel for Eden but he’ll only let it happen over his dead body.
