Eden decided to take a seat at the front of the council room so he would face Supreme Commander Haoxuan, General Qiping, and Colonel Yanzhao. Yanzhao is so predictable. Eden finds pathetic the lengths he is willing to go to get rid of him for an Alpha he spoke with twice. He leaned back and crossed his legs.
Yanzhao looked at Eden sitting comfortably his eyes flashing with anger. The way he acts like he is the king angers him. Just because the Ning family is the richest in the kingdom and his father and all the alpha before him were legends in the army doesn’t mean he is better than anyone else.
He is proof of it, he worked tirelessly until he became the strongest Omega in the kingdom and Colonel. He is the third leader and he is an Omega, before him it never happened.
Haoxuan looked at Yanzhao and ordered:
"Show the Classement."
Yanzhao clicked a button and a holographic Classement appeared out of thin air. Everyone searched for their position and then looked at the first place. They were stunned when they saw that the winner had taken first place with 17 000 points but most shocking was the fact that it was Eden.
Everyone knows he isn’t as strong as an alpha or they would know with all the words circulating about him. Even if he is strong when he is compared to other Omegas he can’t be compared to an Alpha it’s ridiculous.
They looked at Eden but he was looking at the hand of the person sitting next to him. Eden frowned at Dawei’s hand. He had a prominent red halo around his wrist. He looked in his pocket ignoring people looking at him and grabbed Dawei’s wrist.
Dawei was surprised but he didn’t pull his hand away. Eden applied ointment to the wound and massaged his wrist. Dawei immediately felt his blood circulate again, he didn’t have time to get in a healing pod before the Colonel called for a reunion.
He was stung by a Terazell, they are an alien race who look like cyclops but they have ten tentacles. There’s a poison in it that petrifies the skin and makes the part of the body unable to feel anything and then harden. He hasn’t been able to feel his hand but thanks to Eden now he does.
He looked at him incredulously.
"How do you know western medicine?"
Because of the creation of healing pods, doctors almost disappeared until they realized that it was better for the spiritual strength to be healed by the old way.
But the military uses healing pods because it’s faster and they don’t always have time to go see a doctor when they are on a mission while there are always healing pods in their spaceships. Because of western medicine becoming a craft doctor are sought-after and becoming one is extremely difficult. Seeing Eden knowing Western medicine when he is only twenty is amazing.
Eden answered as he kept massaging his wrist:
"I’ve been following my father to every one of his missions and expeditions since I was six and he taught me western medicine since sometimes we couldn’t go back to the ship before two or three days later. He wanted me to be able to heal myself no matter the predicament."
Everyone was surprised to hear that. They all heard rumors about how he got into The Military Society because the Ning sponsors it. But from Eden’s words, it seems like he has experience. When Eden let go of Dawei’s hand he moved it around stunned.
"Thank you my circulation is back."
Eden smiled.
"You’re welcome."
Dawei smiled back. Dawei is his roommate and the one who got him out of the cave before he was killed by the Goises in the original timeline. He’s a sweet Omega and he looks adorable with his short brown hair and round face. His eyes are slanted and he has a small nose with thin lips. He’s the only one who never believed the rumors about Eden.
One of the soldiers who had heard the rumors asked confused:
"I thought you went to a fancy boarding school on planet Zeyguns?"
Everyone was wondering the same they were just not going to say it. Zeyguns is a planet where only the rich and powerful go.
Eden looked at the soldier who had spoken:
"I’ve never signed up to a school let alone on Zeyguns, my father homeschooled me. He taught me everything I needed to know to become a soldier. It’s just that I learned on the field and sooner than most people."
They all felt that having a father like Eden’s must’ve been intense. Instead of going to school and out making friends, he was on the battlefield. Dawei asked sadly:
"So you never had the opportunity to go to a normal school and make friends?"
Eden looked down uncomfortable and shook his head. They all felt uneasy and guilty seeing him like that even the Alphas. They all believed the rumors and thought of him as another condescending rich guy who paid for his place at the school.
Eden who seemed to realize how it might’ve sounded immediately said:
"I don’t regret my childhood, on the contrary. If I hadn’t been at my father’s side on all his missions I wouldn’t have spent as much time with him before he passed. I wanted to be a soldier while he was reluctant."
It’s true since he could speak he wanted to be a soldier and his father decided to take him on a mission to make sure this is what he truly wanted.
When he saw that Eden genuinely did he taught him everything he knew and made sure he would always come home safe and sound. His father loved him to the moon and back that’s why the last trial was so important to Eden and he wanted to be the one to destroy The Gathered army to avenge him.
Yanzhao felt happy hearing Eden lying about his childhood. There’s no way all of this is real, if that was the case his spiritual strength would be higher. The bigger hole he digs himself the better it will be once everyone finds out that he cheated on his trial.
Dawei looked at Eden understanding him better. Despite the rumors, he always felt like he was a little shy and uncomfortable around people. The other saw it as him keeping his distance because Eden thought he was better than them. He’s glad now that they can see it isn’t who he is.
Haoxuan looked at Eden intently. He felt like he looked different than other Omegas, he had unqualifiable quality. His misty green eyes gave people the need to protect him. His eyebrows were thin and he had an aquiline nose with high cheekbones. His skin was fair and his full lips were red as blood. His dark hair made his beautiful eyes shine bright as stars. He looked cute and with his small stature, it made people want to love and protect him.
When Eden felt his eyes on him he met his eyes. Haoxuan had a chiseled jawline with almond-shaped grey eyes and a well straight nose with full red lips. Yanzhao looked at Eden then at Haoxuan who was looking back expressionlessly. Yanzhao felt like he looked angry so he used that opportunity to bring up his cheating:
"Eden, how did you end up with 17 000 points?"
From Yanzhao’s tone, everyone could tell that he was suspicious.
Eden stopped looking at Haoxuan and met Yanzhao’s eyes.

Yanzhao laughed. He was pleased when some other soldiers laughed because of the incredulity of Eden’s words.
He opened a file in front of him and said:
"Your file says that your spiritual strength is 2S while your physical level is L meaning it’s impossible that you were able to kill at least 15 Goises. Alphas can’t kill Goises on their own and even I can’t do it."
Eden said mockingly:
"Just because you’re too weak to kill a Goises on your own doesn’t mean every Omega is the same."
Everyone looked at Eden stunned. Yanzhao is still the third in charge but from the way he was talking to him, it was more like he was beneath him. Yanzhao’s face turned red in humiliation and said angrily:
"I am the strongest Omega in the Royeax Kingdom & Principalities."
Eden asked almost bored:
"What exactly are accusing me of?"
Yanzhao narrowed his eyes and said with pleasure:
"You cheated on the trial and as per the rules you’ll be expelled from The Military Society."
Eden asked with a smile:
"Don’t the rules also say that before indicting someone you must present evidence? So where it is Yanzhao?"
Everyone felt the tension escalate after Eden called him by his name instead of his title.
Yanzhao was trembling in anger but calmed down when he thought that he will be gone soon.
"Your file compared to the number of points you earned on the trial is proof enough."
"To you maybe but it won’t fly with the council. So again where’s your proof Yanzhao?"
Yanzhao clenched his fists. He doesn’t have proof but anyone with a brain can tell that Eden cheated.
"You probably paid someone to change the score in your terminal."
Eden crossed his arms with an amused smile and asked:
"The only person who can access the parameters of the soldier’s terminals is the Supreme Commander and General. Are you saying that I bribed one of them?"
The smile Yanzhao had for thinking of this idea immediately disappeared.
The three of them are the only ones who can access the parameters of the terminal so by saying that Eden bribed someone he is pointing the finger at one of his superiors.
Haoxuan and Qiping looked at Yanzhao angrily. When Yanzhao told them about Eden cheating they thought he had proof but it’s nothing more than speculation. Haoxuan asked impatiently:
"Do you have proof or not?"
Yanzhao looked at him a little scared, even if they are friends Haoxuan is a hard ass on him too. He felt unable to say anything and kept tumbling on his words.
When he heard Eden laugh he immediately looked at him furiously and so did everyone. Eden touched the ring around his finger and a holographic display appeared. Everyone watched as Eden easily killed more than fifteen Goises. When the video was over he touched his ring again and the display disappeared.
He tilted his head and asked with a mocking smile:
"You were saying?"
Yanzhao just like everyone else was too stunned to speak. Even an Alpha needs help to kill a Goises but Eden battled multiple of them easily.
Eden looked at Yanzhao with disdain, he just wants to establish in front of everyone that he is not to be messed with. The only person he is going to deal with is Yanzhao, he doesn’t need other villains to come out of the woodwork.
He looked at Haoxuan when he asked:
"Why did you videotape the trial?"
"My father told me to always videotape any mission or battle so I can review it after and see what I did wrong to improve."
Haoxuan nodded. Eden looked into his grey eyes and felt unable to look away.
It seemed like Haoxuan did too since he never broke eye contact too. Qiping looked at them then asked:
"Eden since your aptitude result doesn’t match your spiritual strength and physical level you’ll have to pass it again."
Eden looked at Qiping and answered respectfully:
"Yes, Colonel."
Qiping looked at an Alpha and he left to get the machine.
Dawei asked curiously:
"What do you think your result will be?"

Everyone felt a little sad hearing that. After hearing about his childhood they all felt like everything he’s done was for his father to approve of him. When the machine was there Qiping was about to stand up but Haoxuan put a hand on his shoulder.
He stood up and looked at Eden. Eden stood up and inserted his hand into the hole of the machine.
"Release your spiritual strength slowly."
Everyone looked at Haoxuan trying to get a clue of Eden’s level.
Now that they’ve seen him fight they feel curious but Haoxuan never shows emotion so it was impossible to tell. When the machine sounded Eden pulled out his hand and went back to his seat.
Haoxuan did too and asked Eden:
"Don’t you want to know?"
Eden answered:
"I know. I already said that it will be the same level as my father."
When Eden smiled Haoxuan’s heart skipped a beat. Eden looked so lovely and for the first time, he felt the need to make someone his. Qiping looked at them again and asked Haoxuan:
"What was the result?"
Haoxuan woke up and shocked everyone when he said:
"Spiritual strength 5S and physical level triple-A."
Everyone who thought that Eden just wished to be as strong as his father realized that he is. Eden looked at Yanzhao with a mocking smile.
Yanzhao had to restrain himself from killing Eden. That son of a bitch not only humiliated him but now everyone knows how powerful he is. He worked so hard to become the strongest Omega in the Kingdom but Eden just took that away from him. If he didn’t plan on getting rid of him so he can be with Shangyu he would for stealing his title.
When Eden felt eyes at the back of his head he turned around. They landed on an Alpha, he had short hair and an oval face. His eyes were round and his nose was slightly turned up and had thin lips. Objectively speaking he was handsome. Shangyu kept looking at Eden and was surprised when he smiled at him shyly. When he felt everyone looking at them knowingly he smiled back.
The entire kingdom knows that they’re engaged so do the other soldiers and it would look bad if he were not to smile back. Weirdly he wasn’t bothered by it he thought he looked beautiful. When Eden’s cheeks reddened his eyes softened.
He always thought Eden was handsome but he felt like at that moment he was looking at someone different like when he followed him in the Goises cave. He felt surprisingly interested. Especially when he wondered if he only blushes for him. When Eden seemed a little uneasy he smiled brighter.
Everyone smiled but it turned into laughter when Eden turned and seem to be pouting in embarrassment for reacting to his fiance. He looked precious and it was hard to reconcile this cute picture with the fighter.
Haoxuan looked at Shangyu who still had his eyes on the back of Eden with narrowed eyes. He knows that the two are engaged but he’s never seen interactions between the two. But from the way Shangyu was looking at him it seemed like they had a close relationship.
It bothers him when he’s never cared before. He just felt this sense of recognizing Eden when he met his eyes and he made his heart beat. No one ever had before.
His entire life has been dedicated to protecting the Kingdom and not just because his father Xiaoming is the king.
The army is his and he wants to make sure they are the best in the galaxy that’s why he works on recruiting the new soldiers himself. But right now all he cares about is making sure that Eden and Shangyu’s relationship returns to the old way and end their engagement. He is a goal-oriented person and as soon as he set his mind to something he never gives up.
The problem is that he has no idea how to do this, he’s never wanted anyone let alone been in a serious relationship. Still, it won’t stop him. When Eden looked up he met his eyes, Haoxuan’s eyes flashed in determination. You’ll be mine.
