When night came Tianlin and Minglan found a cave to sleep in. Once it was sealed they both relaxed knowing that the cameras are off. Tianlin built a fire and Minglan started to cook the food. As soon as he was done with their sleeping area he joined Minglan around the fire. She gave him a plate and they ate in silence. After a few minutes, Minglan looked up when she saw blood on the ground. She looked at Tianlin’s arms and saw that he was losing a lot of blood.
She put down her plate and after getting a medical box out of her backpack she sat next to him. He was surprised when she put his plate down and took off his jacket. He looked at her while she took care of the cut. He gazed at her beautiful face as she focused on the wound. He felt his heart beating faster because of their proximity. Even if his brain knows it’s wrong his heart can’t help but beat for her.
Minglan could feel his eyes on her but she did everything in her power not to look at him. Spending the entire day with him only made her acutely aware of how much she loved him. She can pretend she feels nothing anymore when he isn’t around but when she’s so close to him it’s a struggle. When he was patched up Minglan looked up. She met Tianlin’s eyes, she unfortunately caught the glimpse of love before Tianlin could hide it and her eyes moistened. It would be better if she knew for sure that he never loved her, knowing he did makes it painful. Of all the people she could fall for she fell for her brother.
Tianlin felt his heart clench in pain when he saw her cry, he pulled her in his arms.
"Minglan I never lied to you, I did love you."
When Minglan held onto him tighter he admitted:
"Even if I know it’s wrong I still love you."
Minglan looked at him.
"I still love you too but we can’t be together. You’re my brother, if anyone were to find out we would be destroyed."
Tianlin held her hand and asked:
"Did you mean it when you said that if no one accept us you would leave with me?"
Minglan looked at Tianlin, she knows what he is trying to say. Just this morning she was planning to kill them all and now Tianlin wants them to leave so they can be together. After a few seconds she nodded, Tianlin let out a relieved breath. He pulled her in his arms kissing her passionately. When Minglan wrapped her arms around his neck they both knew they were making the right decision. Eden closed Versem with a smile and disappeared out of his cave.
He appeared in the twins’ office. Shaoren was sitting behind the desk while Shaotian was leaning against it facing him. Eden sat on Shaoren’s lap and lay on his chest. Shaotian leaned in and kissed his forehead.
"Are you okay?"
"En. How many Haywire Nexus, sorcerers, and Magicians are left?"
Shaoren answered:
"There are four Magicians left and you. Three died, two were hurt and the last two gave up. There are two groups of Haywire nexus left, one with four sorcerers and the other with two. Then there are two sorcerers on their own. The trial should be done a couple of hours after the beginning of the second day."
Eden nodded.
"Are you done?"
Shaoren kissed his forehead.
"Go to bed will join you."
Eden nodded and disappeared.
Huang was sitting around the table reading an article. He banged on the table in rage after swiping everything on the table. Ruiqi who had heard the sounds came into the dining room. She looked at the mess then asked:
"What’s wrong sweety?"
When Huang looked at her furiously she unconsciously took a step back. He stood up and handed her the tablet. Ruiqi took it and read the article. She looked at everything wide-eyed. Not only was a video of Minglan and Tianlin meeting at a hotel before the GE Trial made public but there was a video from last night in the cave.
They could be heard clearly saying that they are related but they’ll run away. Huang ordered:
"Scroll down."
Ruiqi already thought that this was too much but she did. Her face fell when she saw a video of her and Yifeng. She immediately took a step backward and swore:
"I swear Huang it isn’t real, I never slept with Yifeng."
She looked at Huang in fear, he looked like a wild beast and she could barely breathe because of his overbearing power.
"Not only did you fuck Yifeng but you lied about the twins being mine."
"No Huang I swear I never cheated on you and the twins are yours."
"Scroll down the article isn’t over."
When she saw a DNA test declaring that Minglan and Tianlin are Yifeng’s biological children she knew she was dead. She would never sleep with Yifeng, he was the husband of her best friend. Who would forge a video and those kinds of documents? Someone is clearly after her.
"Huang the video and document aren’t real, it was forged. Someone is after me I swear. I love you you know I would nev..."
Before she finished Huang’s hand was around her neck. She kept begging but it only made Huang tighten his hold until she died. He let her body fall to the ground and looked at it with disgust. To think that he loved her even more than the son he always wanted. How could he be so blind? That whore not only cheated on him but she made him raise a bastard. He’s a Guardian and now the whole realm knows that his wife cheated on him with another one. The only good thing is that now he knows Tianlin isn’t his so he won’t have to deal with the leaked video of them in that cave.
How could he think Tianlin is his when he’s willing to run away with his twin sister? He’s voluntarily putting her first when he is his father, at least he was. Whatever they do now has nothing to do with him. He’ll kill them all for all the lies only then will he feel better. He’ll find another wife and have a son, this time he’ll keep her locked up so she won’t have the opportunity to cheat on him. Huang smiled viciously and left for the studio.
Minglan and Tianlin woke up in each other arms. The night helped them realize that they made the right decision to run away. No one knows they’re related and they know their parents won’t say anything. Before the cave was unsealed Tianlin kissed Minglan.
"In just a few hours we’ll be together."
Minglan smiled.
"I love you Da-Ge."
"I love you too."
He kissed her again, Minglan pushed him since he seemed unwilling to stop. She chuckled.
"Stop the camera will be turned on soon."
"I missed your smile so much."
Minglan looked at him with shiny eyes. She quickly kissed him and they left the cave happier than they’ve been in a long time.
Eden walked leisurely whistling. He walked faster when he heard a sound, he looked at Yixin who was fighting multiple sorcerers. Yixin is the magician Minglan and Tianlin poisoned causing the twins and him to come, he was the bait. He threw a knife at the back of one sorcerer and he froze. He pulled out his sword fighting at his side. Once they were all dead Eden looked at him.
"Are you okay?"

Eden smiled back.
"Sure."
Tianlin and Minglan who were on the side walked to them. They looked in the sky and saw that they were only a Haywire Nexus and one sorcerer left. They can act out their plan now since they can deal with them on their own. Minglan was holding a bottle, she handed it to Yixin with a smile.
"Here it’s an energizer."
Yixin took it with a thankful smile, once he drank it Tianlin said:
"Let’s go we’re almost done, let’s split up to find the last ones faster."
Eden grabbed Yixin hand’s and left in another direction. When they were gone Tianlin looked at one camera. Huang who was in the studio caught his signal.
Eden and Yixin were walking but he suddenly fell to his knees. Eden knelt in front of him and lifted his head. The viewers were shocked when they saw that his eyes were all black.
Huang who was next to the twins said:
"I think you should check on him."
He could already see the worry on the twins’ faces. He smiled when they vanished.
He looked at the screen and as soon as they were there he incanted:
"Puppet of mine you’re no longer needed, you’ll eradicate everything in your path until everything has faded."
He looked at the screen with a bright smile when Eden’s core exploded taking out everything in its surroundings. He thought it would take longer but he was very pleased with the promptness of the spell. The whole realm held their breath, when the smoke disappeared the only thing left was ashes.
