Kian scanned the room. His eyes landed on Tan. He was sitting in the front row, surrounded by alphas. They were laughing, as though Tan was the funniest person in the galaxy. Kian rolled his eyes.
He can’t believe he was in love with him in the OGTL. Tan hated that Kian wanted to become a soldier too, and because of him, he wasn’t the only omega who ever signed up for Bei Academy.
When everyone fell in love with Kian, because he was the only one who wasn’t selfish during the first trial, he was furious. When if it wasn’t for him, he would’ve starved on that planet.
What angers Kian the most, is that he’s done everything for Tan. The apartment they live in is only paid for by him. Tan only worked a couple of hours a week, the rest of the money he would get, came from alphas he would seduce.
He acts as though he wants to fight for omega’s rights when he sets them back. Just like the way he needs the attention to always be on him. Passing the trials for Bei Academy is expensive when you’re uncertain if you’ll make it to the end.
Tan gave him 70% of the fees. And how did he thank him? By killing him. He knew that Kian was going to succeed in all his trials, so he murdered him. He messed with his diving suit, and by the time they came to rescue him, he had already suffocated.
Kian will return the favor. He stood up and walked to the first row. Kian took a seat at the end, next to a beta. He smiled.

The beta smiled.
"Hi, I’m Xiaoshu."
Kian said:
"It’s nice to meet you, Xiaoshu."
"It’s nice to meet you too, Kian."
In the OGTL, Xiaoshu was Kian’s roommate. But because Tan was scared Kian would stop doing all the things he did for him if he had new friends, he created tensions between them.
Xiaoshu is genuinely a good person, who cared for Kian. When he warned him about Tan’s manipulation, Kian lost it. Subsequently, they never spoke again. When he died, he was the only one who was sad.
Kian was a terrible friend to him, but he won’t be this time. He’ll be the friend he deserves. When a team of cameramen entered, Kian glanced at them. The massive forest they’ll be passing their first trial in, on planet Greron A1, is filled with cameras.
A team was sent with soldiers to install the cameras, they made sure to cloak them, so no alien would destroy them. His every move will be watched by the entire galaxy. Kian doesn’t like that, but it’s not like he has any choice.
Even if at first he was keen to join the army because of the way Tan talked about it, he liked that he would always have men and women by his side, who would have his back. Tan would constantly say that the only reason he was here, was because of him. When it’s literally the opposite.
He needs to make sure he is the best. Kian checked his spiritual level and physical strength. He used Versem to boost it to the max. Kian let out a breath when he felt his core strengthening.
He felt weak before, especially compared to the previous world. He was a vampire and a witch, while here he’s the weakest. Even women are stronger than omegas. They’re the only ones who don’t join the army because of that.
Now that he is 4S and AAA, he feels even more confident. He trained extremely hard before coming here, so he was optimistic enough. A few minutes after the cameras were installed, two alphas walked in.
Kian was using his terminal. He linked it to Versem, to make sure he wouldn’t be as poor as he was in the OGTL. In the previous universe, he didn’t have to do that, since he was rich. But here, he’s poor, like in his universe.
Thankfully, Atlas taught him a lot about investing. He said that he learned from Eden, which isn’t surprising. He is older than both of them. When the room became quiet, Kian paid no mind and scrolled down the list of companies he could invest in.
He decided to invest in two others, to make sure when he is done with his first trial, he has enough money to move. Even if they’ll be living on campus, he doesn’t want any ties with Tan. When Xiaoshu put a hand on him, he looked up.
Xiaoshu looked behind him, and Kian saw that everyone was staring in the same direction. Kian looked up at two alphas staring at him.
The closest had wavy and dark hair. He had a well-set straight nose and full lips. His eyes were fierce and Kian could feel his strong spiritual power. Kian immediately knew he was Bei Shaotian.
His family owns the army, they are ridiculously rich. In the OGTL he fell in love with Tan, after his friend got closer to him. Kian looked at the other alpha and knew he was Yuan. He’s one of the people he feels most sorry for.
Tan used Yuan just as much as he used him. Tan knew that he was in love with him, so he pretended to get closer to him. He only did it because it allowed him to get closer to his best friend, Shaotian.
The worst in all of that is that Shaotian was engaged to marry. His fiancé, Minglan comes from a military family, she’s also one of the recruits. She made it to the end and had to keep seeing her ex-fiance date Tan.
She was furious and did everything in her power to destroy them. Tan kept acting like a victim when he stole Shaotian from her and Tan dealt with Minglan. Shaotian is the worst, truly. fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓
Kian looked at Yuan and blinked. He had short hair and an oval face. His green eyes were round, and his nose was slightly turned up, paired with thin lips. Kian couldn’t help but stare at him, he was incredibly handsome.
There was a softness in his eyes, that made him want to reach out. When Yuan smiled at him, he smiled shyly with a blush. Now that he knows he likes men, things are so different.
If he had met Yuan before, he just would’ve thought he wished to look like him because he is handsome. When he is attracted to him. His heartbeat quickened when his eyes softened.
Kian looked down. He likes his eyes, he feels that he could look into them forever. When he felt Shaotian dark spiritual power, he looked at him again. It made Kian uncomfortable. He doesn’t like the idea of someone being equally strong, or stronger than him.
Being powerful gives him control. Shaotian looking so scary isn’t helping either. His coldness and short temper are well known. Kian will make sure to avoid him as much as possible.
Shaotian ordered:
"Put your terminal away."
Kian locked it and put it in his pocket.
Tan couldn’t stop himself from smiling. He can’t believe how stupid Kian is being, everyone knows that if you anger Shaotian, your career is over before it started.
