Lucian looked at the sorcerer fighting the Jiaolong. He focused on it, but it was impossible not to picture Kian’s cold eyes.
He had a vision of them spending eternity together, but now it feels like it was a sick joke. It seems like he turned into the person he wished to become.
He only saw the coldness in his eyes. Most things don’t touch him, but Kian’s mocking smile hurt him. Shouldn’t he be happy that he moved on from him, and focused on his relationship with Serena?
Isn’t that what he wanted? He felt that if he focused on Serena without Kian around, it would make moving on from him easier, but he was wrong.
He kept thinking that if he fakes it, at some point, he’ll make it, but it was never going to happen. Even if Kian will never see them as more than friends, he can’t watch him pass away.
Even if he shouldn’t blur the lines again, he keeps spending all his nights in the imperial library to find a cure. He’ll just make Kian ingest it without him knowing. Weirdly, his attitude only made him more certain of his plan.
It doesn’t matter what he’ll lose. At least Kian won’t die. He looked down when Serena asked:
"Are you okay?"
He nodded and resumed looking at the fight.
Kian’s hands tightened around the throne’s arms. Despite his smile, he was boiling inside. He feels this dark need to make Lucian watch as he kills Serena. He has a plan, and he’s going to follow it, but it’s hard.
Lucian gave his hand to her and pulled her onto his lap, as though he couldn’t bear the thought of not having her close. When Kian felt overwhelmed again, he deactivated the shield, and everyone looked incredulous as the Jiaolong flew above the stadium.
When the Jiaolong locked in on his target and flew to him, everybody ran out. The Jiaolongs look like a hybrid of a dragon and a leopard. It’s known for its bad temper and love of fighting.
People knew better than to stay there. Eben, who was running, glanced back, and before he could do anything, it hit him with a fierce stream of fire. His scream resonated in the massive stadium.
When the Jiaolong was done, the only thing left was ashes. Aurelia, Cayus, and Aurelia looked at the scene in shock. They’ve known Dr. Eben for so long, but now he’s gone.
Aurelia was in such a state of shock, that she woke up only when the window of their tribune smashed into pieces. Serena screamed:
"Mother."
Aurelia was alone at the side since Kian came, and they were only three thrones. She held Lucian tighter and begged:
"Please help her."
Lucian said:
"Don’t make any movement, or the Jiaolong will snap and burn everything to the ground."
Serena held her breath as tears ran down her face. Kian was looking at the scene wide-eyed, but inside felt a rush of excitement.
There are cameras on him, so he has to act. Aurelia looked at Kian and mouthed:
"Help me."
Kian almost burst out laughing. Aurelia has seen how powerful he is, and now she wants his help.
Out of patience, Kian murmured in his head:
"Eat her."
The Jiaolong opened his massive mouth and bit her head off. Serena screamed in horror and fainted. Cayus felt incredulous. It was as though his mind had left his body.
Kian ordered in his head:
"Fly above the stadium."
The Jiaolong flew out and circled above the stadium.
In this universe, they believe that if the body is buried incomplete, the soul can never rest and reincarnate. He wants Cayus and Serena to live with that until he kills them.
Kian seemed to wake up from his shock and jumped out of the tribune. Elian, Lucian, and the king and queen immediately stood up in fear. Their tribune was extremely high. Anyone who jumps would jump to their death.
They relaxed when they saw that Kian had landed on his feet. Kian pulled out a knife and cut his wrist. He made a blood circle on the ground. He stood out of it and casted:
"I bind thee with the power of my blood, under my control you now are."
The sky turned dark and everyone in the stadium stilled. They could feel the enormous amount of power being summoned. They all looked at Kian. When he was hit by a lightning strike and still stood tall, they were stunned.
Kian aimed his hands at the Jiaolong and hit him with a lightning strike. The Jiaolong flew at high speed toward Kian who had stepped into the circle. Lucian felt his heartbeat quicken and flew down fast. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
Kian took a step out of the blood circle when the Jiaolong entered it. It tried to get out, but it was unsuccessful. Kian casted:
"Your powers are now mine, you won’t harm another soul."
A golden essence floated out of the Jiaolong and entered Kian. When Kian received it he destroyed the blood circle and the Jiaolong got ready to kill him. Even without their power, they are deadly.
Kian levitated and the Jiaolong flew using his massive wings. They all looked at the sky when they saw more lightning. Kian channeled it and aimed it at the Jiaolong. Because of the power of the lightning strikes, people covered their eyes until they couldn’t hear a sound anymore.
They looked at Kian wide-eyed when they saw that he was in Lucian’s arms, passed out. The Jiaolong was on the ground, dead. Lucian looked at Kian and swallowed. He flew out of the stadium and got in the car.
After making a quick phone call to his parents, he ordered the driver to leave. This is the perfect moment to do what he had planned. When they arrived, he flew to Kian’s room and put him on his bed.
He left and came back a few seconds later with a bade. He said as he cut the palm of his hand:
"I make this blood oath, to share my life. Transfer my essence and time, to the one who will hold my hand and complete the oath."
Kian who had woken up when he left was shocked. He only kept his eyes closed to see what he was going to do. He checked Versem and saw that this blood oath allows any strong vampire to give half of their life to anyone.
No matter what illness or how close to death they are, it allows them to live longer. But if the person who shares their life had 1200 years ahead of them, they’ll only have 600 years left. Since they gave away 600 years to the person who was dying.
Why would Lucian do that when he hates him? They were clearly never friends, but he is giving up half of his life for him. He would never accept that, even if he wasn’t cured. He would owe someone else his life. And someone who doesn’t care about him.
Someone he believed he was special to, but it was all a lie. When Lucian grabbed his hand to cut the palm of his hand, Kian woke up and pulled his hand away. He asked:
"What are you doing?"
