Kian kept floating back and forth. Where is Eden? He just arrived, after dying in the previous universe, but he can’t help but feel impatient. He took a breath to calm down.
He already went through this, he needs to change everything about himself to be able to do this, and go back to his old life. He can’t just be the shy and unassuming person he was. He can’t cry and think his enemies will defeat themselves.
After finding out the reason behind his punishment he studied Atlas, and the way he got revenge on Yan in the previous universe.
He saw how determined and unfeeling he was. Atlas was able to let the twins go when he told him that they were his soulmate with who he had been for a millennium. He was also away from his family and kept letting them believe he was dead.
He felt like this was something a psychopath would do, but all that matters right now is that he is free. He talked a lot with Atlas and he told him everything that Eden did and it’s so much worst.
He truly doesn’t understand why he is in the same boat as them but he is. Because of the way they are, they’re free so he’ll do the same. He’ll keep his feeling hidden deep within, he’ll fake them until he can make it.
Luckily he was with Atlas in the previous world and he taught him a lot. He knows he can act now and that he’ll be able to fool everyone as Eden and Atlas do. Even if he feels that their personality is extreme, it’s not surprising.
They suffered way longer than he did, especially Eden. But he was still sweet and thoughtful to him. He came to see him often and gave him a lot of advice. He’s grateful for them. Right now he’s just worried he might not show up.
Once he arrived, he called Eden but didn’t hear him speak back to him as usual. In the previous universe, he created a mental link between them, in case he needs him. The fact that as soon as he arrived he wasn’t tossed to the next universe, makes him hopeful though.

He hasn’t been waiting for long, but he couldn’t help but spiral down. Eden smiled. He said:
"Close your eyes."
Kian closed his eyes, a few seconds later he let out a breath when he felt Versem lose the hold it had on him. The release felt so good, he checked to make sure he was truly in charge and felt like crying in happiness when he saw that he was.
Kian smiled gratefully.
"Thank you."
Eden explained:
"No problem. Don’t forget what we talked about. The only way to gain power is if those who wronged you pay. Just taking away what they took from you won’t work, because they might still get to live a good life. You just need to make sure the punishment fits the crime. If in the OG TL they killed you, they must die or suffer a fate worst than death. I know that this is a lot for you but it’s the only way you’ll gain power and I’ll be able to beam you to Magellanic Clouds. The more power you have, the more universes you will be able to reach. Will you be able to follow the adage an eye for an eye?"
Kian looked down, if it was before he would say no. But he has no choice in this case. If he has to deal with a few people who made his past lives a nightmare, he will.
He knows he can do it because he doesn’t have a choice. He looked at Eden and said with determination:
"I can and I will, I promise."
Eden nodded with a smile.
"You’ll be invincible with Versem. Anytime you enter a universe don’t forget to strengthen your body and augment your internal force or power."
Kian nodded, he knows how thorough Versem is, it was just that before those components couldn’t be accessed by him. He floated toward a planet but he stopped when Eden said:

Kian swallowed, he had to forget who he is or he’ll never make it. He has to be cold and unfeeling like all those people who made his lives a nightmare.
Once he is done he’ll go back to who he was. Eden said as though he read his mind:
"Sometimes no matter how much you want to go back to the person you were, it’s not possible. It’s too late for me and Atlas but it doesn’t have to be for you."
It’s only after they met someone who made them feel that they realised that there is pleasure in mundane things. Kian has a purity that they both never had, he is still young and hopeful. He shouldn’t lose that and become jaded.
Kian nodded and reached out for a planet. Eden has been telling him this kind of thing since the previous universe. Kian feels that maybe he knows something.
He understands what Eden is saying but he can’t hear that right now. He has to be like them or he’ll never break free of this endless nightmare.
Atlas told him what he went through and how much it impacted him, and that is even though he doesn’t care about anyone and treated people like puppets before.
How worst will it be for him then? He was too sensitive but in those universes, it’s survival of the fittest, so he has to become the fittest. He will be now that Versem is under his control, no one will be able to stop him and he’ll make everyone pay.
Kian’s eyes flashed with cruelty and he disappeared. Eden who had seen everything sighed. He feels that Kian is most likely to let the power get over his head than Atlas was.
Atlas knew what it was to live well since his parents were rich, and he spent all day doing what he wanted.
But Kian had responsibility and spent his time working, to pay the bills. He never lived a rich life or go a day without having to work. He knows that Atlas told him all the tricks, including how to make money quickly.
He could already feel how much he changed when he visited him in the previous universe, and this time he isn’t sure this will end well. He was clear, if anyone goes too far he’ll destroy that person and that includes Kian. Eden disappeared.
