Bei Yan knocked on his father’s office door and came in when he said:
"Come in."
Bei Yan took a seat and his father asked:
"Yan’er why aren’t you sleeping yet?"
Yan answered:
"I just receive a message from Yujin."
Yan opened the letter and read:
"Yan’er Yitian and I are the only two remaining from our squadron still alive. We were attacked by a longma and found refuge in a cave for the night. We sent word to our father to have soldiers meet us at the entry of beast valley tomorrow post meridian."
Huang smiled.
"Did you have time to poison the emperor?"
"I have I gave him more poison than I did the empress and empress dowager to make sure Yitian will take the throne soon."
Huang thought:
"We might have to deal with Yujin too."
Bei Yan frowned imperceptibly.
"Why he’s just the great general?"
Huang explained:
"Yujin is dangerous. Everyone believes that he is the nicer twin and that Yitian is the bad one but they’re wrong. Yitian is just haughty while Yujin is a ruthless killing machine."
Bei Yan swallowed. He knows that but whether it’s Yitian or Yujin they both treat him like a younger brother. They’re always sweet and thoughtful and he believes that they’ll fall in love with him if they lose their father.
Losing their mother and their grandmother being in a coma allowed them to grow closer and it was the best. Yitian who was usually only business opened up and he could feel sometimes that he might see him as more than a mage.
He loves them and he wants them to love him just as much so of course he’s not going to let his father kill any of them. He wants both of them, they must both love him as much as they love the other.
He wants the twins to put him first before the other. Sometimes it’s hard because the twins have this intense bond and most of the time they’re isn’t room for anyone because of it.
Bei Yan won’t give up until their relationship is exactly what he wants it to be. He read the last part of the letter.
"I sent you this letter because I know how much you worry and I don’t want you to. I’ll see you soon."
Bei Yan put down the letter and said:
"Trust me I have Yitian and Yujin under control."
Huang nodded despite not being sure. Yan asked:
"Did you get through to any ministers on Sheng Zhang’s side?"
"I haven’t. It won’t happen until the emperor dies since everyone knows how much he values Sheng Zhang so they don’t want to get on his bad side." freewёbn૦νeɭ.com
He thought that Sheng Zhang would decline as soon as Atlas died but he only grew stronger. As soon as the emperor dies he’ll deal with him once and for all.
Atlas undressed to get in the pool but he stopped when he felt eyes on him. He turned around but Yitian and Yujin were seemingly talking. He smiled and quickly undressed.
The twins looked at him as he entered the pool. Once he was fully submerged they walked closer. For a long time the surface of the water was still. The twins frowned and jumped in the water after undressing at the speed of light.
They swam deep but still couldn’t see Atlas. They swam up to take a deep breath and went back to look for him. As soon as they did they saw Atlas swimming toward them.
Atlas swam to the surface and so did the twins. Yitian pulled Atlas in his arms angrily and yelled:
"What is wrong with you?"
Atlas blinked his blue eyes and asked:
"Were you worried?"
The twins narrowed their eyes at him. Despite his innocent look it was clear that he knew they were.
Atlas kissed Yitian’s nose and said:
"I like to swim in deep water. And why do you even care am I not just a weirdo who lives in a cave?"
Atlas tilted his head and Yitian’s eyes darkened. Yujin smiled. Atlas got out of his embrace and circled Yujin’s neck. Yujin held onto his waist with a smile. Atlas leaned in a kissed him.
Yujin pulled him closer and kissed him back hungrily. Atlas deepened the kiss and rubbed against him. Yujin felt like Atlas was trying to kill him. Atlas pulled back and looked into his blurry eyes satisfied.
He simply swam out but before he could get out Yitian held his wrist. Atlas turned around and looked at him with a raised eyebrow. Yitian looked at him with a pout and Atlas forced himself not to smile.
That man is too cute. Yitian asked:
"What about me beloved?"
It’s hard to resist Er-Ge when he calls him beloved but Atlas did. He pulled his wrist and got out of the pool. The twins walked out and followed him. They were surprised to see the inside of the other room.
They thought that the bed in the main room was where Atlas slept but it seems like this was his bedroom. There was a library with a lot of books and a table with some incense on it.
There was also another canopy bed. Atlas turned around and looked at the twins who were still naked. The twins walked toward him and he felt like he was their prey. Their eyes were locked in on him like they were scared he might run away. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom
Once they reached him Yitian untied the belt around his robes and let them fall. The twins looked at Atlas’ body with heated eyes. Atlas asked with a blush:
"What are you doing?"
The twins’ eyes softened. Yitian pulled Atlas in their embrace and kissed him. Atlas kissed him back and he felt like Yitian was trying to swallow him whole. He knows he isn’t happy but he doesn’t mind.
He likes it when Er-Ge is angry it makes the sex so much hotter. Yitian pulled back and he looked at Atlas satisfactorily. Yitian asked:
"Are you saying you don’t want us as much as we want you?"
Atlas looked at them then said:
"Just one night."
The twins frowned and Yujin asked:
"Why one?"
"Because you live in the imperial city while I live in beast valley so I doubt we’ll see each other again."
Yitian said:
"You can come to the imperial city with us, we’ll make sure that you live well."
Atlas asked:
"Who are you both?"
When the twins seemed hesitant to tell him Atlas chuckled. He doesn’t blame them one is the next emperor while the other is the great general of the army. They would be foolish to give their identity to someone they just met.
He knew they wouldn’t that’s why he asked. He needs to stay here until he reaches the cogent stage. In this universe he can’t cheat since he had to use a lot of power to fix his nucleus.
Even if he wants to stay with his babies he can’t but he’ll see them soon.
"Let’s not make this more complicated than it needs to. Let’s just enjoy tonight and tomorrow I’ll make sure you walk out of beast valley intact."
Yujin asked:
"Don’t you have a family? Don’t you want to live normally and do more than live in a cave?"
Atlas tilted his head and asked:
"Are you judging me?"
Even if Atlas didn’t look angry the twins could tell that he was. Yujin said:
"I just meant that you could become a great mage and work for the empire."
Atlas ridiculed.
"Oh? The same kind of mage as your friend Bei Yan who didn’t even know that bashees hibernate during this time of year?"
The twins narrowed their eyes. Even if they are angry at Bei Yan he is young and has so much on his shoulders.
He is the unofficial leader of all the mages so something slipped his mind. They see him as a little brother so they feel protective.
Yitian said:
"No one is perfect. He works harder than any mage while you just..."
Yitian didn’t finish his sentence when he saw Atlas’ eyes turn red. Atlas bent down and after putting on his robes he looked at the twins coldly for a few seconds. He walked to the table and sat down.
Atlas said as he wrote:
"You can sleep on the other bed. When I’m done writing the map I’ll bring it to you."
The twins looked at Atlas and saw that there was no talking to him. They left for the other room. They sat on the canopy bed waiting for Atlas. They didn’t mean to upset him it’s just that they don’t want him to stay here alone.
They both like Atlas and they feel like there’s something more between them but how are they supposed to explore those feelings if he lives in beast valley?
Atlas walked to the room and gave them the map.
"Just follow the map and you won’t bump into any beast."
After giving them the map Atlas turned around and left without looking back.
