Chapter 211: ABO / 5.22 : Uninvited guests

Atlas woke up and looked at Damian. He couldn’t stop himself from smiling. This person who has been through more than anyone wanted another baby but put his need on hold for him.

He was worried at first that Er-Ge might not be able to let him go once he is free but now he knows that he would do anything to make him happy including giving up on him.

He was so sure about all of this but right now he’s the one having doubts. He can’t be away from him for more than a few hours let alone forever. Furthermore isn’t his decision selfish?

Er-Ge always puts him and his feelings first shouldn’t he reciprocate? Atlas caressed his cheek. He doesn’t want to leave him ever and now he’s not sure that in the end he’ll be able to walk away from him and obliterate his soul.

Damian opened his eyes and he smiled gently at him. Damian smiled back and asked:

"Are you okay?"

Atlas nodded.

"I am, I didn’t think I could feel this happy before."

He indeed feels this change in him since the previous universe and the fact that he can go through this pregnancy without feeling this overwhelming fear shows it.

When he saw that Er-Ge was angry with him for getting rid of his feelings it woke him to reality. It made him realize that he’s been acting like an adolescent when he isn’t and hasn’t been one for a long time.

In a way acting childish and like he didn’t care allowed him not to think about everything he’s been through daily that’s why it all came to light at night and he would have nightmares.

He never processed those feelings but now that he’s talked about it with Er-Ge and Eden he feels much lighter and believes that he can finally move on. Damian smiled and he kissed his forehead.

He pulled back and said:

"I didn’t think I could feel this happy either."

Atlas’ eyes softened, he’s happy, Gods knows Damian deserves happiness. Atlas stood up and pulled his Er-Ge to the shower. When they finished dressing they left for the dining room.

Atlas took a seat in front of Jacob and smiled at him. Jacob smiled back and gave a sign to see if he had spoken to his father. Atlas said that he was going to talk to him and he was hoping he would do it before the launch party.

His father plans on proposing to Atlas and it would be great if everything was squared away before. Atlas smiled.

"I told Er-Ge."

Jacob looked at his father and could tell how delighted he was. He smiled.

"Are you happy?"

Jacob answered:

"I am I always wanted a little brother."

Damian smiled and caressed his son’s head. Jacob asked:

"Is everything ready for the launch party?"

Damian nodded, he made sure everything would be perfect for the proposal. They both looked at Atlas but he was too busy feeling his plate. They couldn’t stop themselves from smiling.

Damian grabbed his chopsticks and pulled out a few things from his plate. Atlas looked at him discontentedly.

"There are things you can’t eat when you are pregnant."

Atlas looked at him pouting and ate. Damian’s eyes softened at his cute baby.

Ludek looked at the hour and screamed:

"Elwyn hurry up or we’ll be late."

Mircea checked his watch too and asked:

"What if security doesn’t let us in?"

Ludek said:

"They will don’t worry I have everything planned. I have three press passes and with those they don’t check if you’re on the list or not."

Mircea nodded.

"I still can’t believe everything Atlas has done just because we named Elwyn the heir. We only have a couple of months to make sure our reputation is restored or we’ll be out of money and we’ll have to file bankruptcy."

They have to use the money they saved up to keep the company running and pay the employees until they make money again. To think the son they raised all these years would go that far is imaginable.

Mircea swallowed and said:

"Like a fool I believed that Atlas was finally opening up to me but the whole time he was plotting to take Nye Games down."

Ludek pulled his wife in his arms and said:

"You need to stop thinking about that. You’ve been crying every night because of Atlas, he doesn’t deserve your tears."

"I know it’s just that I thought he wanted to be close to me but he never did."

Elwyn walked down the stairs and became annoyed again. He didn’t realize how much his parents loved Atlas until this whole thing happened.

Mircea constantly looks sad about Atlas betraying him when he should be angry that Nye Games is close to bankruptcy. He thought that at least his father would be pissed but he looks just as sad as Mircea.

Ludek pulled back and looked at his son.

"Let’s go."

Elwyn looked out the car window as they rode to Cian Hotel. Today Atlas will finally die. He asked the hacker he had hired before if he could find him someone to do the job and he answered his text which surprised him.

He had stopped answering and even ignored his texts regarding the virus targeting more than the Extinct players. He had to pay a lot of money again but it was worth it.

The good thing is that the man is already there posing as a waiter. He can’t wait to see Atlas’s dead body lying on the floor. When they arrived they got out of the car and followed the direction to the ballroom.

The three of them walked in and showed the man controlling the guest list their badge and he let them in. They all felt like they could breathe again, even if Ludek had this plan they weren’t sure it would work.

They looked around the room and saw that they were a lot of famous reporters and the biggest names in the video game industry.

There was even a cameraman filming the event live. Elwyn smiled and his eyes flashed darkly. Atlas’ death will be on tape forever and even better it will be live.

Atlas who was backstage looked at the people taking their seats and his eyes landed on his so-called family. He narrowed his eyes at them. Damian looked at Atlas then wrapped his arms around his waist.

When Atlas felt his hand caress his belly gently he smiled. Damian put his head on his shoulder and asked:

"Are you okay?"

Atlas said: freeωebnovēl.c૦m

"I’m okay. I’ll take things slowly after today."

Damian let go of him and met his eyes.

"Really?"

Atlas nodded with a smile. He wrapped his arms around his neck and said:

"Really. Even if I love creating video games I can’t just keep having the same habits I had before. It wouldn’t be good for me or the baby. The most important to me is our family."

Damian swallowed and he looked at him emotionally. He knows how much video games mean to Atlas and the fact that he’s willingly slowing down means a lot.

He looked down and murmured:

"After what happened when I was a kid I didn’t think I would ever be able to connect with Jacob and a mate let alone have a family. I believed that no one would love me for me or accept Jacob fully."

Damian looked up and admitted:

"Sometimes I have this fear that this is all a dream and that I might wake up at any time because I don’t deserve it."

Atlas felt heartbroken hearing that. Jacob who was at the side did too. He knew that his father still had intimacy issues but he didn’t know he believed that.

Atlas caressed his cheek and said:

"This isn’t a dream my love. You can fall asleep and wake up in peace because Jacob and I will never leave you. No one deserves happiness more than you and I promise I’ll make sure you are until our last second together."

If the omega who did this to his Er-Ge wasn’t dead Atlas would have killed him. It breaks his heart that he felt this way every day until he died in the OG timeline.

He’ll make sure that in this life he wakes up happy every day and realize that he deserves the best in this world. Atlas’ eyes moistened when he saw how touched his Er-Ge was.

Damian hugged Atlas tightly. Atlas felt like someone was walking on his lungs but he let him and caressed his nape. He’ll accept anything that man wants it’s just the way it is.

Damian abruptly pulled back and said:

"Sorry I almost crushed the baby."

Atlas and Jacob chuckled. Atlas gave him a peck and said:

"You’re too cute."

Damian frowned at that.

"Am I a puppy to you?"

Atlas said with an amused smile.

"A little."

When Damian narrowed his eyes Atlas and Jacob smiled.

Damian shook his head and he pulled Jacob in his arms. Jacob hugged him back with a smile.

He pulled back and said to them:

"Let’s do this then we won’t have to deal with the Nye ever again."

Jacob and Atlas nodded and their eyes flashed with determination.
