Elwyn asked:
"How are you?"
Jacob couldn’t stop himself from smiling as he thought about the few past days. The truth is that he’s never felt this happier before. He had no idea how heavy this whole thing with his father weighed on him.
Now the atmosphere in the house is warm and he loves it. He, his father, and Atlas goes to work and comes back together every day. They also have dinner and breakfast together. The weird thing is that none of it feels weird.
Atlas’ attitude toward him is very affectionate like the kind someone would have for someone who is family. Sometimes he has this feeling that Atlas is older than him.
But he doesn’t mind it feels oddly familiar and he likes it. He knows that his approach is genuine. At first, he was worried that with them he would feel like the odd man out but Atlas and his father never make him feel that way.
He’s glad Atlas now lives with them and that he’s finally done with his family.
"I’m okay."
Seeing his big smile Elwyn asked:
"Did something happen?"
"I had a discussion with my father and he finally opened up. All this time I thought he hated me but he never did. I thought that he never cared for me but he did everything to make sure that my dream would come true even if he believed I hated and resented him."
Elwyn frowned imperceptibly and asked:
"What prompted that talk?"
Jacob said:
"I went to talk to Atlas to make sure he wouldn’t do anything that might make my father feel worst and he asked me about our relationship. I asked him how he got close to him and he gave me advice and said that he would help us get closer and he did."
Elwyn looked at Jacob’s grin annoyed. He asked:
"Are you sure Altas doesn’t have nefarious intentions? Maybe he’s doing this to better sow discord between you and your father? Or maybe he just wants you to appear weak in front of him, you even said yourself that he makes you feel like you’re not good enough."
Jacob’s eyes flashed with anger.
"He isn’t, without him I would have never known how my father felt."
Elwyn asked:
"Are you the one who went to see Atlas?"
"I am."
Elwyn’s eyes moistened and he asked sadly:
"How could you do that when you know how he’s been acting with me?"
Jacob tilted his head.
"Are you that selfish that you would have preferred me to put your ridiculous feud with Atlas first than my relationship with my father when you know how I’ve been struggling?"
Elwyn could tell that Jacob was getting angry so he said:
"You’re right I’m sorry of course you should work on your relationship with your father even if as you said he makes you feel inferior."
Jacob chuckled. It was only when the veil was lifted that he realized all the remarks Elwyn would make to make sure he and his father’s relationship would stay the same as it was.
He counted on Elwyn a lot because before him he never created a strong relationship except the one he had with his grandmother. Elwyn knew that he was dependent on him so he knew he would do anything to keep him in his life.
Elwyn looked at Jacob confused. He put a hand on his and said:
"Jacob you have to help us."
"With what?"
Elwyn said sobbing:
"You’ve seen the news you know what Atlas did. We secured the servers and the games but people still don’t dare to play the games. The fact that your father took our games out of Cian Cube is only validating the rumors that say our games aren’t safe. Could you speak to him about it?"
Jacob pulled back his hand and said:
"My father putting the game back would be a breach of contract."
"What do you mean?"
Jacob said:
"Atlas is working for Cian Cube now and he said that he doesn’t want Cian Cube to be associated with Nye Games in any way and my father agreed. Even if he hadn’t said that he wouldn’t have done it."
Elwyn felt his heartbeat quicken. Of course, Damian will choose Atlas not only are they together but he is valuable to them. He asked:
"Did Atlas sell his new game and headset to Cian Cube?"
Jacob nodded and he smiled when Elwyn’s face fell. What did he expect when he’s done all of this to destroy Atlas?
It’s clear that Elwyn didn’t expect things to go that far, if he used his brain he would’ve known how easy it is to destroy the reputation of a video games company.
Elwyn said pleadingly:
"Jacob you have to help us. Atlas destroyed our company and then went to work for your father. Can’t you see that it was his plan all along, I’m sure he seduced him just for that reason."
When Jacob’s eyes darkened and his pheromones washed over the room Elwyn started to pant. He stood up to get away from him so he could breathe but Jacob stood up and followed him.
Elwyn hit the wall and fell to his knees gasping for air. Jacob knelt in front of him with a smile.
"I’m not going to help you and we’re done. Stay away from my family or I’ll destroy you."
Elwyn looked at him wide-eyed. Did he just end things with him? When Jacob stood up he held his hand and said through difficult breath: freeωebnovēl.c૦m
"I thought you loved me and that you would do anything to make me happy."
Jacob pulled his hand away with disgust and said:
"I know now that every word out of your mouth was a lie. You’re the one who destroyed Nye Games and I suggest you admit it to your parents before it’s leaked online."
Jacob turned around and left. When he was out of the room Elwyn could finally breathe and tears ran down his face. How did he know he was responsible? He told his parents he would fix this but he can’t do it without Jacob.
If that wasn’t bad enough he broke up with him. This is all Atlas’ fault he somehow made him feel like he cares about him. He knows full well how much Jacob craves closeness that’s how he was able to make him fall for him.
But now that he has his father and Atlas he doesn’t need him. What am I going to do?
After going back to Nye Games Elwyn stood in front of his father’s office door for a long time not daring to enter. He took a breath and after entering he closed the door behind him.
Ludek immediately asked:
"How did it go?"
Elwyn took a seat and said:
"Father Atlas has been planning all of this since I first arrived home. "
"What are you talking about?"
Elwyn said:
"He’s working for Cian Cube now and he sold his latest project to them. He even made Damian agree to never work with Nye Games aver again."
Ludek leaned back on his chair dejected. This is all over, he has no more hope. The small doubt he had earlier is gone too, Atlas has been planning this since the beginning.
"Why did Jacob say when you asked for help?"
Elwyn bit his lip and tears ran down his face. He sobbed:
"Now that Atlas managed to make his and his father’s relationship better he broke up with me."
Ludek felt heartbroken seeing his son cry, so he stood up and hugged him. Atlas has taken everything from them including Jacob from Elwyn so now they’ll destroy him.
He pulled back and said:
"Don’t worry we’ll get revenge for everything he’s done."
"How?"
Ludek said:
"I saw that Cian Cube has a launch party on Monday, they weren’t specific on what it was for but I know that Atlas will be there. There will be press and photographers since Damian will be there and we’ll use that to show the world how he destroyed Nye Games and then went to work for Cian Cube."
Elwyn felt much better hearing that. Since Nye Games is destroyed they might as well destroy Atlas and make sure he doesn’t live happily ever after.
He should be the one to live happily not him. Atlas took everything from him and he won’t rest until he dies. His father believes that destroying his reputation is enough but he doesn’t. freēwēbnovel.com
He knows that his parents would never dare to have him killed since they have feelings for him but he doesn’t and Atlas won’t leave that party unless he is in a body bag.
His heartbeat quickened in excitement as he pictured Atlas’ lifeless body. Once he dies he knows that Damian will be broken and Jacob won’t be able to count on him.
He’ll run back to him and he’ll use him to make Nye Games bigger than what it was before.
