Ludek looked at the hour then at the maid.
"Tell Atlas to come down for breakfast."
The maid nodded and left. Mircea who was sitting on Ludek’s left said:
"I’m very pleased with his new behavior. Seems like he was only bothered because he believed Elwyn didn’t like video games."
Ludek said:
"I know I don’t even understand how he could’ve gotten that idea. But as soon as Elwyn told him he started to act the same way he did before. He even stopped calling us by our names."
Mircea smiled.
"Did you see how he leaned his head on my shoulder when we were in the car on the way back? He acted the same way he did when he was a kid."
Ludek smiled.
"Since it’s finally settled we don’t need to toss him out of the house. I’ll talk to him about creating more games for the VR headset."
Mircea’s eyes lit up while Elwyn’s hand tightened into fists. All it took for them to fall in love with Atlas again and decide to keep him home was for him to act like a needy child.
He asked:
"So Atlas will stay here?"
Mircea nodded.
"He will. Do you know why he believed that you didn’t like video games?"
Elwyn’s heartbeat quickened and he shook his head.

Ludek said:
"Good because you can’t run a video games company if you’re not passionate about it and you’ve seen that Atlas doesn’t like that either."
"I understand but that’s not an issue I promise."
Mircea and Ludek smiled pleased. They’re glad things are back the way they were. Elwyn will be the president and Atlas will be under him. They’ll work together and make Nye Games the best video games company in the world.
Elwyn looked down. He hates video games he just wants to be president but it seems like he’ll have to keep pretending. He hates how easily his parents accepted Atlas back.
He thought that he would finally be done with him after he is done with his current project. On the way back home yesterday the three of them were talking and laughing and he was the odd one out when it’s usually Atlas.
That’s already how he felt during dinner when Atlas was talking with Jacob. He saw the worship in his eyes, it’s clear that he is a fan of Atlas.
He is so obsessed with his games that he found out the way Atlas names his games. Only a die-hard fan would know that since even his parents didn’t know.
Atlas entered the dining room with a smile.
"Hello."
Mircea and Ludek smiled at him. Mircea asked:
"Did you sleep okay sweety?"
"I did thank you."
Ludek asked:
"What do you plan on working on today?"
"I’m not going to the company."
Mircea asked:
"Where are you going?"
"I asked Er-Ge if I can use his new upgraded game facilities and he agreed. I want to test my prototype and game."
Mircea and Ludek were happy to hear that he is already starting the test since he wasn’t forthcoming about how far along he was. Elwyn asked:
"How did you and Damian meet?"
He hates how Atlas is closer to his future father-in-law than him. He heard about Damian from his parents and Jacob so he doesn’t get how Atlas was able to get through his tough exterior.
Atlas met his eyes.
"I met him during our birthday party. I actually didn’t know who he was since I had never seen him before, he seemed surprised that I didn’t know him either."
Elwyn nodded, maybe Damian liked the fact that Atlas had never heard of him before since he is often on the news.
Mircea looked at Atlas in worry and asked:
"You’ve never read about him on the news before?"
Atlas shook his head.
Mircea frowned. Atlas asked:
"What’s wrong mother?"
Mircea felt happy to hear Atlas call him mother. He said:
"I just don’t want you to get close to Damian and end up disappointed. He is different than other alpha."
Atlas seemed confused by what he was trying to say. Mircea stood up and sat next to him.
"I don’t know if you have a crush on him but Damian is asexual. He’s never been in any relationship after he was abused when he was younger."
Atlas felt like slapping the shit out of him. He hates more than anything how a maid abused his Er-Ge.
If that wasn’t bad enough after they took Jacob away from him the omega went to tell the world that they were in a consensual relationship.
He acted like they had stolen his son from him and they had to tell the truth of what truly happened so everyone knew what truly happened. They thought that they were using their power and name to take a child away from his mother.
They all believe Damian is asexual since he doesn’t like to be touched and it’s true but it has more to do with the fact that he never met someone who made him feel and with who he had a connexion.
In the original timeline, his Er-Ge spent his entire life alone but Atlas won’t let that happen again. He’ll always stay by his side. Atlas said with a smile:
"You don’t have to worry I know what I’m doing."
Mircea nodded even though he and Ludek still felt worried. When Atlas hugged him he was stunned and hugged him back with a big grin.
Atlas who had his back to them rolled his eyes. The most pathetic in all of this is that Ludek and Mircea want Atlas to be needy when it comes to them. They want him to always feel like he can’t do anything without them and be dependent.
It makes them happy when they feel this sense of control over him because they know that without him Nye Games wouldn’t be where it is.
That’s why they act as if the money they paid for his school is the reason he is so good at what he does. It made them happy to have Elwyn because he is needy and doesn’t know anything while Atlas has always been independent.
He’ll act until he is done. He won’t crush just their company he’ll crush their hearts too.
The person he hates most is Mircea. Even if the two have feelings for Atlas Mircea is a mother so it’s easier to get through to him and he wants him to ache deeply when he is done with them.
Those two morons decided to keep him since he’s close to them and they feel like they have control over him again but they’ll only regret it.
Atlas pulled back with a smile and Mircea caressed his head with soft eyes. Elwyn felt like throwing up and said:
"I have to meet Jacob I’ll meet you at the company father."
Ludek nodded and he left. He got in the car and he was taken to a coffee shop. He entered the private room and waited for Jacob. He looked at the engagement ring until he entered the room.
Jacob sat next to him and gave him a peck but Elwyn turned his face and it ended up being a kiss on the cheek. He frowned.
"What’s wrong?"
Elwyn looked at him teary-eyed and said:
"Yesterday was supposed to be about me and your father bonding but it was all about Atlas as usual. We didn’t exchange any words after he asked how I was doing."
Jacob asked:
"How is that my fault?"
"You were acting the same way, you spent all your time talking video games with Atlas."
Jacob said:
"Then you should’ve just joined the conversation as your mother and father did. Is it my fault that you don’t know anything about video games? And you said you were learning as much as you could but that was clearly a lie or you wouldn’t have to sit there in silence."
When Elwyn saw that Jacob was becoming angry he looked at him sadly.
"I’m sorry it’s just that I hate that you can speak about what you’re passionate about with Atlas but not me."
Jacob said:
"You’re new to this world but you need to make more effort Elwyn. No one will help you so you have to help yourself. Do you understand?"
"I do I promise I’ll be better."
Jacob smiled and kissed him. He knows full well that you can’t just come and take the president’s chair without knowing anything.
The only reason he is being patient with Elwyn is that he loves him but he honestly doesn’t think he should have it. He would never accept anyone doing that to him.
Elwyn pulled back and smiled, he smiled back. Elwyn asked:
"Do you love me more than you loved Atlas?"
"I’ve never loved Atlas. We only saw each other once when I gave him the engagement ring."
Elwyn asked:
"Do you think you could give me another one?"
"What do you mean? You’re the one who said you wanted that one."
Elwyn wrapped his arms around his neck and said:
"I know but I want everyone to know that I love you and you love me and that it isn’t just about the contract between both families."
Jacob said:
"Sure I’ll get you a new ring."
He’ll just send his assistant to buy a new one and give it to Elwyn.
Elwyn looked at him pleadingly and said:
"How about a family heirloom so they’ll know how much I mean to you?"
Jacob knew full well where he was going with this but proposed:
"I have my grandmother’s necklace If you want."
Elwyn said:
"Don’t you have a family engagement ring?"
Jacob said:
"My father has my grandmother’s engagement ring the green emerald."
Elwyn said:
"Green is my favorite color."
"That ring is priceless and it belonged to my grandmother."
Elwyn’s eyes moistened and a few tears fell on his face.
"I thought you loved me and that you would do anything for me?"
Jacob looked at him for a few seconds then said:
"I’ll talk to my father."
Elwyn smiled brightly and hugged him. Jacob hugged him back with dark eyes.
