Atlas looked around the room. He was sitting on Yuning’s bed and could hear water running in the bathroom.
Why would Caspian take him back so far? Thinking about that man his eyes lit up and a blooming smile appeared on his face.
He’s always wondered about his name and what he would be like. He didn’t think he would be as different as he is from the personalities of all his soul-flakes.
Er-Ge was usually shameless and manipulating. But he would also have this intense love for him where he would do anything for him and vice versa.
He always believed he could put one over on him but Caspian seemed calm, poised, and experienced. He believes he is older than Cael, he is sure of it. It made him feel safe like nothing bad could ever happen to him at his side.
Caspian is like a security blanket to him the kind he thought worked when he was younger except that this time it does. He needs him in his lives or he’ll feel incomplete.
He’s happy he isn’t holding a grudge. Atlas stood up from the bed when the bathroom opened. Yuning closed the door behind him and looked at Atlas surprised.
He took a step toward him and gazed at him worried.

He’s been out all day with Tan and he ate dinner in his room so he didn’t get to check on him. Atlas broke the space between them and reached out.
When he circled his neck Yuning felt his heartbeat quicken. Atlas leaned in and kissed him tenderly. Yuning wrapped his arms around his waist and kissed him back. He’s been wanting this for so long already and it felt unreal.
Never in his life has Yuning wanted something or someone as much as he does this person. When he thinks about what he believed was enough to have a relationship with Yawen he feels utterly foolish.
When Atlas leaned back he gazed into his eyes while listening to his heartbeat. It echoed his as though their two heart were beating as one.
"I love you."
Yuning’s heart skipped a beat at that confession.
He tightened the hold he had on Atlas as though those words meant he would leave him.
"You do?"
Atlas nodded at him.
"I do I love you so much Er-Ge."
Yuning looked at his flushed face and his eyes softened.
He kissed Atlas’ forehead devotedly. He pulled back and met his eyes again. His heart turned into a puddle when he saw how shy and sheepish he looked.
"I love you too."
Atlas’ eyes moistened.
"I’m sorry."
Even if he already spoke to Caspian he knows that he hurt Yuning as well. He wasn’t exactly discreet, his intention to stay away from him was clear as day.
He doesn’t want him to fear or doubt him.
"I never believed I would find someone that would make me feel as deeply and safe as you do. I always expect the worst because this is what I’m used to but I’m done being afraid. I want to spend eternity at your side if you’ll have me."

"Even if you don’t I’ll never stop until you’re mine."
Yuning smiled and kissed him passionately.
"Beloved I’ll never let you go."
Atlas blinked back tears and he let out a relieved breath.
Yuning felt better seeing the relief on his face. He could feel his anxiety before like just the thought of not having him in his life was frightening. He understands seeing that he feels the same.
Yuning feels pleased that Atlas is opening up to him and sharing the reason behind his avoidance. The hardest part was not knowing because he knew Atlas felt this connexion between them but still ran.
It made him feel like he didn’t believe he would be enough for him. Atlas let go of him and laced their hands.
He pulled him to the bed and they sat.
"I have to tell you something."
Yuning nodded and listened to Atlas.
When Atlas was done his eyes were red and the usually calm Yuning looked like a beast straight out of hell. His essence was overbearing and if Atlas didn’t have Versem he would have died he did not doubt that.
Yuning looked up and met Atlas’ eyes after calming down.
"Why didn’t you tell me all of this before?"
Atlas tightened the hold he had on his hand.
"Because I wanted to fix it and make it better for you. I would never let anything happen to you and Tan. I’m was going to deal with the twins and the Yu tomorrow."
Atlas’ eyes narrowed.
"I didn’t want you to stop me since you and Yawen were together and you were busy making out in your office."
Seeing the one he loves kissing someone else triggered the rest of his feelings that’s why he was out for two days.
He knows that none of this would come to pass if he hadn’t done what he did but he can’t help but feel anger at someone else touching what’s his. That man belongs to him and if someone else lays a hand on him then they should die.
Yuning’s anger vanished and he gazed at his beloved in amusement. He pulled him on his lap with a grin.
"You were jealous."
Atlas crossed his arms.
"I was. You’re mine no one can touch you beside me."
Yuning chuckled.
"I am. No one can touch you beside me either. Do you understand?"
Atlas uncrossed his arms and caressed his cheek.
"I do."
He’s all his, once he makes a decision there’s no going back for him.
He said that he would give himself entirely to this person so there’s no discussion needed.
Yuning smiled.
"How did you plan on making me ingest the potion you made to stop whatever Yawen’s mother created to drain essence?"
Atlas smiled.
"I was going to let you bite me."
Yuning felt his heartbeat quicken. Even if it isn’t something an original would do he does want to bite him. He wants to do so much to Atlas.
Thinking about that he decided to tell him the truth about his vampire gene. He’s happy that Atlas was forthcoming about this entire mess. He isn’t surprised that his brother wants to get rid of him and Tan.
As for Yawen he was blind and believed he was this pure and unsullied flower when he is more like a nightshade. He believes in Atlas and knows that his plan will work. When he finished telling Atlas the truth he didn’t seem surprised.
Atlas gazed into his eyes and smiled seductively.
"Er-Ge are you going to be the one to turn me?"
Yuning narrowed his eyes at the vixen. When his face changed Atlas tilted his head.
"Do you truly want to be a vampire?"
Atlas nodded.
"I do I want the three of us to stay together forever."
He loves Er-Ge and Tan so why wouldn’t he want to live as long as them at their side? Yuning smiled brightly, he is happy turning is Atlas’ choice.
Even if he was willing to do anything to keep him at his side he likes to hear that this is what he wants as well. Yuning explained.
"Originals don’t live as long as other vampires because our essence burns faster."
Atlas smiled reassuringly.
"I know I have a cure for it I ingested it already for you and gave it to Tan during our picnic."
Atlas was stunned when tears fell on Yuning’s face. He never cries the only time he did in the original timeline was when Tan died, and even so, he did it alone. Atlas felt his heart clench and wiped his tears.
He asked worriedly:
"What’s wrong?"
Yuning swallowed, he pulled Atlas into his embrace tightly. Atlas caressed his nape feeling distressed for his Er-Ge. When he felt he was calmer he pulled back and looked into his eyes.
"I’ve been alive a long time but I never met someone who cares about me and Tan as much as you do. I always thought I would have to settle because I knew that no one would see Tan for who he is but you do. Even with the others I always felt as though they were only trying to get close to him because they knew that I would never abandon him."
Atlas caressed his cheek.
"Of course not he’s your brother. The second I looked into his eyes I knew that the way people perceived him was wrong. I understand how he feels because I know what it’s like to be closed off from people. He is lonely he just needs someone who will love him for him and I do."
Tan is like Yuning’s little brother and son. Atlas never cared for kids but he does for Tan. He is so sweet and cute, he doesn’t even understand how people can’t see that his attitude is a front for his loneliness.
To him, Tan is the closest thing to having a child because he doesn’t want any. Even if he isn’t as opposed as before he still feels like it would be best for him not to have any.
He smiled gently when he saw how touched Yuning was. He kissed him and he kissed him back. Yuning pulled back and smiled, his happiness was palpable and it made Atlas just as happy.
