Damian entered Atlas’ house and walked to the living room. He stopped at the entrance looking at the scene. Atlas was sitting between the twins.
He had his head laid on Klay’s shoulder with his eyes closed and Kalel was holding his hand.
Atlas opened his eyes when he felt Kalel kiss his hand. He looked at him and Kalel looked back. Atlas felt his heartbeat quicken when he saw the amount of love in his eyes.
He leaned in and kissed him tenderly. Kalel tightened the hold he had on his hand and kissed him back. Atlas pulled back and kissed Klay, he kissed him back tenderly.
Damian tilted his head, he could tell that the twins loved Atlas but he wasn’t sure if Atlas loved them as much as they do him. At least now he has his answer, he smiled and took a seat. ƒгeewebnovёl.com
Atlas smiled at him and he smiled back. He nodded at the twins and they nodded back. His eyes flashed with amusement, he knows they’re still worried about him since to them Atlas only spends time with them because he lost the bet.
He doesn’t get how they can’t see how much Atlas loves them, but then again he knows him better than anyone.
Atlas said:
"I need to tell you something."
"What’s going on?"
Atlas explained:
"I found out that four pirates managed to infiltrate the academy and they’re after us."
The twins and Damian frowned. Klay asked:
"How were they able to get in without being detected?"
Atlas said:
"Micah helped them after talking to Darius. He is the father of the other consciousness who was in Damian’s body. He found out that I removed it and now he wants us to give him Damian thinking that his son is still alive somehow. But Micah made him an offer he couldn’t refuse."
Damian said:
"He offered us both."
Atlas nodded.
"He told him that I would be able to transfer his consciousness into your body so he can be the new king after killing your father. He sent everything the pirates would need to pass as students then Micah let them in."
Kalel said:
"Do you have proof of this?"
"I do but I want to deal with the situation myself."
The twins furrowed their brows. Damian asked:
"What’s the plan?"
Atlas explained:
"Micah organized a conference in the auditorium at 2 pm tomorrow and everyone will attend. But he planned for us to be called by the administration to sign papers and as soon as we leave the building the pirates will abduct us. That way they’ll be no witness and since he’ll be in the auditorium he won’t be implicated."
Klay said:
"What is he after that he is willing to betray the nation?"
Atlas met his eyes.
"He’s after my inheritance since in my will it says that if I die everything will go to Evander. He believed that my father should’ve left him Storm Academy and money when he died. The only reason he chose me and Evander to get you guys after your mission was that he knew we would get caught and that I would do everything to save Evander since they knew I was in love with him. But they failed so they’re trying again but Micah will place a bomb in the pirate’s ship on a timer so we’ll die five minutes after leaving. That way he’ll inherit everything and he wouldn’t have betrayed his nation."
The twins’ eyes darken, they were such fools to believe that Micah and Evander ever cared about Atlas. The twins caressed his head and Atlas could tell they felt guilty.
Damian asked:
"You just want to kill the pirates?"
Atlas answered:
"I need to get my hands on their phone so I can send a message to their leader Darius. I want to lure him and the rest of the pirates on planet Udore so we can deal with them once and for all in a controlled environment. That way their entire army will be decimated for good. There are only thirty of them left so we need to end them before Darius finds more volunteers."
Damian said with a determined smile:
"I’m in."
Atlas smiled. Klay said:
"We’re in too."
Atlas looked at him and said:
"I only need Damian’s help so stay in the auditorium with everyone else or Micah and Evander will suspect that something is happening."
Kalel said:
"We’ll just come as back up."
Atlas warned:
"If I see you there you’ll regret it I promise. Stay in the auditorium is that clear?"
Kalel’s eyes darkened and he looked at Atlas furiously. Atlas held his chin and said:
"Did you hear me?"
Kalel nodded despite his anger and Atlas looked at Klay. He looked just as furious but he still held his chin and asked:
"Did you hear me too?"
Klay looked behind Atlas at his brother for a second then nodded at him. Atlas let go of him and looked at Damian. He seemed amused by the situation.
Atlas smiled. He knows Er-Ge by heart, he is too instinctive when it comes to him so he doesn’t want them to do anything that might endanger them. He can handle four pirates on his own so he and Damian are more than enough.
Evander entered his father’s office and took a seat. He asked:
"What’s the conference about?"
Micah said:
"It doesn’t matter it’s just a distraction."
"For what?"

"So we can be done with Atlas for good tomorrow."
"What are you talking about?"
Micah explained the new plan to Evander and he frowned. Currently, he lost Atlas and the twins and he felt like it would be easy to get Atlas back.
It makes him uncomfortable that Atlas doesn’t believe he is good enough to be with him. The only thing he’s always known with certainty is that Atlas will always love him and be there for him.
He wished his feeling at least changed before he died but it’s not going to happen. Maybe the twins will fall for him after Atlas is gone. They’ll act as they did before and things will be as they were.
Evander asked:
"Why are you dealing with him instead of waiting until the mission?"
"Because he told me that he wanted to change the beneficiary of his estate to Damian."
Hearing that hurt Evander’s feelings more than he thought it would. He asked:
"He wanted to give everything to him?"
Micah nodded and he looked down.
His hands tightened into fists. Atlas saw him as his world and they spent almost every moment together when Damian and his father disappeared but it’s like it meant nothing to him.
He can’t even give them a small something for everything he’s done for him? His eyes turned sad as he wondered how he could stop loving him.
Seeing the shift in his son Micah said:
"Don’t worry he hasn’t changed it yet so you’ll receive everything. Once he is gone you’ll finally be able to be with the twins."
Evander nodded with a fake smile. It hurts him more than he thought it would to see Atlas stop having any kind of feelings for him, not even the kind he would have for a best friend.
Atlas arrived home late. He immediately smelled food and followed the scent. He took a seat at the head of the table and filled his plate ignoring the twins.
When he finished eating he watched the twins cleaning the dishes and he dangerously narrowed his eyes at their back. Seriously how old are they to fuckin pout like children? It’s only cute when he does it.
Okay maybe it’s cute when Er-Ge does it too but he’s not going to change his mind. He doesn’t need distraction and he knows nothing will happen to him since he has a powerful backer name Versem while the twins don’t.
When his phone rang he picked up as he walked up the stairs. He stayed on the phone with Damian for an hour and then hung up.
He frowned wondering what the twins were doing. He checked Versem and then walked to the guest bedroom. He opened the door and saw that Kalel was under the covers using a tablet and Klay writing at the desk.
He asked:
"What are you doing?"
Kalel said:
"We’ll sleep here tonight."
Atlas looked at him then Klay who still had his back to him. Atlas nodded with a smile and then left. As soon as the door was closed his eyes turned dark. Atlas took a shower and went to bed after watching a movie.
Kalel sighed and said:
"We should’ve slept with him."
Klay stood up from the desk and said:
"We need to keep some distance in case he doesn’t feel the same as we do. To Atlas, this whole thing is just a bet. He’s never shared his feelings with us."
Kalel pointed out:
"We didn’t either, he feels the same as we do."
Klay looked at his brother. He isn’t wrong they never told Atlas how they feel but he must know.
The day they ask him if he confessed to Evander he felt like he was comforting them when he saw how upset they were.
"He must..."
Klay abruptly stopped talking when he heard a sound. Kalel immediately stood up and they ran to Atlas’ bedroom.
They opened the door and turned on the light. Atlas was asleep but he was crying desperately and hyperventilating. The twins looked at him wide-eyed and then ran to his side.
Klay shook him and called:
"Atlas wake up!"
Kalel shook Atlas harder, every sob was more heartbreaking than the one before. Atlas finally woke up when they shook him together.
Atlas sat up startled and looked around confused while hyperventilating. When he realized where he was he calmed down slightly but his breathing was still uneven.
He felt the twins caress his back. For the next five minutes, he took deep breaths until his breathing was finally even.
When he felt like his mind was clear again he wiped his tears. He’s so exhausted, the only way this nightmare will stop is if he dies and he can’t wait.
Klay caressed his head and said:
"It’s okay it was just a bad dream."
Atlas batted his hand away and ordered as he stood up from the bed:
"Get out."
He entered the bathroom and slammed the door behind him. The twins looked at the closed doors and then left.
