Kalel opened his quarter’s doors when someone knocked. Immediately Evander hugged him crying, he closed the doors behind him and patted his back. Hearing cries Klay walked out of the bedroom and looked at the scene.
He asked:
"What’s going on?"
Evander looked at him and said:
"I’m sorry I shouldn’t have barged in I’m just sad after what happened. I didn’t think Atlas would hold a grudge against me because I didn’t return his feelings."
Klay asked with narrowed eyes:
"What do you mean?"
When Kalel pushed Evander slightly away he wiped his tears and explained:
"When he and I were attacked on the way to get you I told him to get in the escape pod. I was planning to distract the pirates so he could leave safely but he insisted on me escaping. He said that he’s always been in love with me and that he won’t be able to live without me. Atlas even gave me his will and said that he left me everything including Storm Academy. I was so overwhelmed that I didn’t say anything and now he is angry because I didn’t say I love him too."
Klay and Kalel’s eyes darkened. Kalel looked at the ring Evander was touching and asked:
"Is that his will?"
He nodded and tapped on it.
A holographic projection came out of it and the twin approached to read it. The more they read the darker their spiritual power became. Evander found it a little hard to breathe but he was so happy to see them being jealous that he stayed still.
He could tell that the twins’ opinion of Atlas changed, he was shocked when he saw them run to Atlas worried when he had a nosebleed.
He knows that the twins respect strong fighters so it isn’t surprising that they changed their minds about him after seeing Atlas’ performance during his torture.
Evander doesn’t like how they stayed silent when he humiliated him during the meeting. Indeed, he doesn’t have clearance but he never minded before.
Klay looked at Evander and asked:
"He said that he’s in love with you not that he loves you as a friend loves another?"
Evander nodded. His eyes flashed in triumph when the twins’ eyes darkened.
Atlas closed Versem with a chuckle. This is only the beginning of the twins’ suffering. Damian looked at Atlas, he had his cellphone in his hands and he seemed extremely happy about what he was seeing.
He sat next to him and asked:
"What makes you so happy?"
Atlas smiled maliciously.
"The twins are suffering."
Damian chuckled.
"Please tell me what happened with Evander during the meeting isn’t a way to gain his heart?"
He knows that Atlas has always loved Evander since he tells him everything but he never liked that. He can feel his duplicity while Atlas sees him as this angel.
Atlas sneered:
"Why would I want to gain his rotten heart?"
Damian felt pleased to hear that. He asked:
"Then why are you angry at the twins if you don’t care for Evander anymore?"
Atlas explained:
"Those two deserve to pay for believing every lie that came out of Evander’s mouth about me. I won’t stop until they kneel before Zod."
Damian burst out laughing.
"Why do you care if they believed him I thought you hated them?"
"It doesn’t matter if I hate them or not they’re mine so they should trust me before anyone else."
Damian was stunned by this reversal, he can’t believe he went from loving Evander to liking the twins.
He thought about the twins’ reaction during Atlas’s nosebleed and he asked:
"What is going on between you three?"
Atlas said with a smug smile:
"They finally realized how wonderful I am and they want me but it won’t happen until they do some groveling."
Damian shook his head with a smile. Atlas circled Damian’s neck and said batting his eyelashes:
"Da-Ge will help me right?"
Damian nodded with a malicious smile.
Atlas let go of him with a smile. He knows how jealous of Damian the twins are so he might as well use him.
The twins changed their clothes and left to eat dinner. They wished they didn’t have to but the king is here so it’s not like they can just eat in their quarter at least that’s what their father told them.
They’re in no mood to sit around the table and act especially after what they learned. Like fools, they believed that Atlas had feelings for them but he loves Evander.
The only reason he lashed out at him during the meeting is that Evander didn’t say that he loves him too. Even if they’re angry they can understand why he wouldn’t like them, especially after what they said.
They weren’t nice to him when they were on the pirate ship and they even blamed him for getting caught when Atlas sacrificed himself for Evander.
But that just makes it worst because even if what he did was admirable he did it for the person he loves.
When they entered the room they saw that the king’s servant had everything prepared. There was a huge table prepared with the king at the head of it. Everyone was there beside Atlas and Damian.
The twins took a seat in front of their name since every seat had a name on it. They were on the king’s right and they couldn’t stop themself from feeling angry when they saw that Atlas and Damian’s seats were just in front of them.
Mace looked at the hour then ordered his butler:
"Go get those two or they’ll never show up. They always lose track of time when they’re together."
Damian and Atlas entered at that moment and Damian looked at his father’s irritated face. He was about to blame it on Atlas when he said:
"I’m sorry uncle, I kept urging Damian to hurry but he was being stubborn."
Mace smiled gently at Atlas.
"It’s okay Atlas I knew it was his fault."
Damian looked at his father offended.
He took a seat on his father’s right after pulling the chair for Atlas. He looked at Atlas who had a malicious smile on his face and chuckled. He was too slow but he’ll be faster next time.
As they ate there was a comfortable ambiance and they mostly caught up with Damian on what he missed. Evander who had been ignored by Atlas since he entered asked:
"How did you know it wasn’t Damian?" freeweɓnøvel.com
Atlas answered:
"Because he’s the only person I know for sure who would never do anything to hurt me."
Atlas looked at Damian and Damian caressed his head affectionately. Evander looked at the twins and could tell they were angry. He felt beyond happy. Klay sneered.
Everyone looked at him and saw his smile of ridicule as he ate. Atlas’s eyes flashed in amusement and he asked:
"Would you like to say something Klay?"
Klay met Atlas’ eyes. The more he looked at Atlas the angrier he felt, he just felt this need to punish him for loving Evander and being so close to Damian. Kalel had the same thoughts.
Atlas knew the thoughts in Er-Ge’s mind, he’ll make sure that they’ll get to vent their anger in him before going to bed. The angrier they are the hotter they look, he loves how intense they are.
Klay smiled and said:
"Don’t worry we’ll talk privately later."
"Okay."
Atlas resumed eating like his words didn’t sound ominous. Everyone could tell they were except Atlas who seemed completely oblivious. The dinner ended with that tense atmosphere.
Evander entered his father’s office and closed the door behind him. Micah looked up and asked:
"You already showed the twins the will?"
Evander nodded and said with a bright smile:
"I did. You saw how angry at Atlas they were during dinner."
Micah smiled.
"I already made sure that the items I had prepared for Atlas were replaced. Once Atlas kills the crown prince during the surgery he’ll be tossed in prison or exiled on some barren planet and everything he has will be ours."
Evander smiled excitedly. They have to destroy Atlas’ reputation once and for all and they know that the king will never forgive him if he kills his darling son. The fact that he loves Atlas too makes this even better.
Atlas was sitting on his bed using his tablet. He frowned when he heard sounds. He stood up and stopped when he saw the twins barging into his room. He asked angrily:
"Who do you think you are unlocking my quarters like it’s yours?"
Klay and Kalel had dangerous smiles on their faces and Atlas’ heartbeat quickened in excitement. He feels like he is going to have a long night and he can’t wait.
The twins loomed over Atlas with dark eyes. They thought about their conversation and they feel like Atlas misdirected them on purpose.
They’re sure he knew full well what he was doing which means he knows they want him. It’s only normal that they return the favor.
