Kuang leisurely walked into the lobby of Yao Center. Once everything is his and A-Xuan’s he’ll change the clan and the business’s name to Sun. When he married his wife he didn’t take his last name Sun and had to keep his since he was the heir of the clan. He was the one who had to to prove that he was loyal. Gaozong made him give up his last name when in the end his wife was truly ruling the clan. He was nothing more than his second in command, it was humiliating.
But that time is over. When his wife passed of illness Gaozong gave him a more important title and when he left he said that he was in charge. But once again he wasn’t truly since Gaozong made all the big decisions from afar. Kuang used that opportunity to become closer to all the important people in the clan to make sure that once it’s his they wont be any issues. But as if Gaozong hadn’t humiliated him enough he left the clan to Atlas.
What angered him the most is how he acted like he hadn’t changed the will yet. Even if he never had that conversation with him he thought that he would be smart enough to give it to A-Xuan. But why would he when Atlas poisoned his and his late wive’s head long ago? He completely understands why A-Xuan resents Atlas and he does too. He hates how he acts innocent when he is a manipulator.
While he thought he was in contact with Gaozong when he was on Olmides turns out it was Atlas. He was ruling the clan even before he gave it to him but he won’t let it happen again. As soon as he came back he told him to take a break using Gaozong’s death as an excuse and like a fool, Atlas believed he cared for him.
He is so desperate to gain his and A-Xuan’s love and approval that he would do anything for it. He was worried when he told him what happened the week he was supposed to be with Han but now that he’s seen them talking and that Atlas confirmed he’ll marry him he’s reassured. He was bothered by Atlas wanting to be the leader until he marries but the fact that he slept in like usual proves that he was just talking.
He should’ve known better. Kuang entered the elevator and once he reached the top floor he walked to his office. He smiled at his assistant but he was looking at him uncomfortably. When he heard sounds coming out of his office he walked faster furiously. Whoever dared to enter the clan’s leader’s office without his knowledge is going to pay with his life.
He entered and howled:
"Who do you think you are entering my off... Atlas?"
Atlas looked at his assistant and ordered:
"Get me all the information."
"Yes, clan leader."
Kuang looked at his assistant angrily, did he just call Atlas clan leader? Is this a fucking joke?
When the assistant was gone Kuang looked at the two bodyguards standing near the door with a frown. When Atlas came back from Olmides he had four bodyguards at his side, he told him that his grandfather insisted that they followed him everywhere. Once he convinced him to take some time off he persuaded him to get rid of them so they wouldn’t be in the way once he had him drugged.
It seems like he brought them back. Kuang looked around the office and finally noticed that all his belongings were gone. The office was the same way Gaozong had left it before he left.
"Atlas where are my things?"
Atlas answered looking at his computer.
"In your office."
Kuang coughed and said:
"Since you’ll only be working here temporarily it’s best if you take that office instead."
Atlas looked up.
"This is the office of the clan leader why should I go elsewhere?"
Kuang gnashed his teeth and forced a smile.
"I just don’t want people to be confused by the chain of command."
Atlas smiled and said:
"Don’t worry they won’t be starting tomorrow night."
Kuang frowned and asked:

Kuang felt a bad presentiment. What he hates most about Atlas is how impulsive he is.
He took a seat in front of him and asked:
"Atlas don’t you want to focus on planning the wedding?"
"A-Xuan has been planning it for a long time already you even said so yourself."
Kuang thought of something and said:
"I’m sure he would appreciate your input."
Atlas looked at him and said:
"I don’t care about the wedding as long as we have a double wedding. The only way it wouldn’t take place is if I wasn’t sure that the clan was in good hands and for that, I need to focus on it. I won’t let what grandfather worked for be destroyed."
Kuang’s eyes twitched. The only reason he isn’t killing him where he stands is that they won’t inherit anything if Atlas dies.
He asked:
"Don’t you have lunch with Han this afternoon?"
"En."
"Do you really like him and want to spend the rest of your life with him?"
Atlas looked at him and said with certainty:
"I do, he isn’t who I thought he was."
Kuang couldn’t stop himself from smiling. Even if he wishes Atlas would stay home he’ll let him change the clan as he wishes since at least now he knows he’ll marry Han for sure.
Kuang said:
"I know that Han likes you a lot he told me he even has feelings for you."
When Kuang saw Atlas’ sparkly eyes and broad smile he knew that he had feelings for him too. Kuang asked:
"Atlas what will be my and A-Xuan’s role while you work here? You know I was acting as the clan leader and A-Xuan advisor."
Atlas said:
"You’ll both be group leaders."
Kuang looked at him shocked. Atlas enjoyed that thoroughly. Just like everywhere else, there’s a hierarchy in the clan. The clean leader, advisor, underboss, group leaders, and affiliates. The advisor and underboss are in charge of the clan and take care of what the leader tells them to. They also advise him and the clan leader relies heavily on them.
The group leaders are in charge of a group of men, in this case, his group leaders are in charge of the employees of Yao Hotels and Yao Casino. They’re like general managers while the advisor and underboss have a higher status than them. Going from clan leader to group leader is humiliating for sure. When Gaozong passed Kuang became the clan leader and A-Xuan the advisor. He had Zheng who was group leader promoted to underboss because he was loyal to him and kept saying the right thing to him.
Atlas will deal with all of them soon enough anyway but in the meantime, there’s no way in hell he’ll let his father and brother in a place where they can do something to undermine him. Kuang said:
"You’re not serious?"
"I am."
Kuang insisted:
"Atlas I was the leader of the clan while your brother was advisor you can’t make us group leaders no one will respect us."
Atlas said:
"What do you want me to make you?"
"I should be the advisor and A-Xuan underboss."
Atlas chuckled.
"I don’t think so. Even when you were clan leader grandfather was the one who did most of the work from afar than me when he started to get sick. A-Xuan was useless, he would either go to the casinos or hotels just to flaunt his power. Because of that I only have a couple of weeks to get everything back in order. If you can prove to me that you can do the job maybe I’ll promote you but in the meantime, you’ll both be group leaders."
Kuang’s eyes turned red in anger but he managed to keep his anger in.
"Then we’ll just stay on the sideline while you take care of everything."
Atlas said:
"I don’t think I would be comfortable leaving the clan to you and A-Xuan if I wasn’t sure you could do it."
Kuang’s hands tightened into fists and said:
"Fine will be group leaders."
Kuang stood up to leave but he stopped when Atlas said:
"Empty your old office and tell A-Xuan to do the same for my new advisor and underboss."
Kuang left slamming the door behind him. Atlas smiled at the closed door.
As if he would let him get their filthy hands on the clan his family worked so hard for. In the OG timeline, his father changed the name of everything as soon as the clan became theirs. It’ll happen over his dead body. He can’t wait for tomorrow night just so he can burn all the traitors to a crisp.
They’ll regret betraying his grandfather for Kuang. The worst in all of this is that his grandfather always treated them like family and was beyond generous. For the people who knew that Kuang planned on killing him, he’s going to make sure their torture lasts long before they die. Atlas smiled cruelly.
