Chapter 691: Chapter 240 Dream Come True, Something is Off_2

To an outsider, everything seemed impossibly perfect. Even his good buddies, Xu Zhi and Wang Shuai, couldn’t understand why he had become a scumbag playing the field after starting college.

Li Yuan sighed inwardly. I, the Dragon Slayer, have ultimately become the Evil Dragon—the very kind of person I despised most in my previous life. I’m a greedy man, unwilling to let go of any of the four girls I’m intimately involved with. Not unless they are determined to leave me of their own volition! If that were the case, there would be nothing I could do, just like with Little Fish. Ever since she left, I’ve called her almost daily, but I always get the same message: the line has been disconnected. I’ve left messages on QQ, but there’s been no response. That account, "Love Eating Cilantro," seems to have completed its final mission and gone completely silent. That sprite-like angel of a girl, whose eyes were once only for me and who wanted to chat whenever she had a free moment, calling me "Xia Hua"... she shot through my world like a meteor and then vanished without a trace. I don’t know where she is or what she’s doing, and I don’t have the face to go looking for her in Beijing...

Li Yuan’s mind replayed these scenes, his feelings complicated as he looked at the docile Bai Weixi before him. In this life, this girl had already done more than enough for him.

Li Yuan kissed Bai Weixi’s smooth, jade-like forehead and said sincerely, "Thank you, Bai!"

"Mhm! Honey, I’m going to go rinse off!" Bai Weixi’s face flushed red as a wave of alcohol-induced sleepiness washed over her. After the passion, one always feels drowsy.

Li Yuan stroked Bai Weixi’s head and smiled. "Alright, I’ll join you!"

After rinsing off again, Li Yuan carried Bai Weixi to the adjacent bedroom. He checked the time; it was already approaching 3:30 a.m. It had been past midnight when they left the hotel. With the drive back to the Xinghe Bay villa, plus bathing and two rounds of "poker," a long time had passed.

Fighting off sleep, Bai Weixi looked at Li Yuan with hopeful eyes. "Honey, which room are you sleeping in tonight?"

Li Yuan rubbed her head and smiled. "I’ll sleep in this one!"

Hearing that Li Yuan would sleep with her, Bai Weixi blissfully hugged his arm, snuggling sweetly into his embrace before closing her eyes. Just a few minutes later, the even sound of her breathing filled the air. She was truly exhausted today.

Li Yuan held Bai Weixi, pulled the covers over them, and felt a wave of fatigue wash over his entire body. Within minutes, he too had drifted off to sleep.

The next day, the weather in Modu suddenly turned foul, changing as capriciously as a girl’s mood.

DRIP. DROP. Raindrops splashing against the window startled Zhong Tingyue from her deep sleep.

Stretching and yawning, Zhong Tingyue rubbed her head. She had downed a lot of wine to soothe her sorrows the night before, and her head still felt fuzzy and unclear. The large bed was empty except for her. In a daze, she tried to piece together the events of last night.

"Ugh, I drank way too much by myself," she muttered. "I can’t believe that sweet wine had such a strong kick! Where’s Li Yuan? I think he brought Weixi and me back together last night. Why can’t I remember anything after entering the bedroom? I’m never drinking that much again. This feels awful!"

Muttering to herself, she could still smell the faint scent of alcohol on her body. She shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts.

After a while, Zhong Tingyue struggled to recall everything from the previous night. She looked at the bed, then at her own body, and sensed that something was amiss.

Last night, Li Yuan seemed to have given me a bath... and then, while I was asleep, he... did *that* with me again... Huh, something’s not right. I vaguely remember touching someone else...

At that thought, her heart skipped a beat. Recalling that Bai Weixi had come back with her, a terrible possibility instantly flashed through her mind. Once the idea took root, it quickly grew, becoming clearer and forming a complete sequence of events.

"Could it be... that we really did something so absurd last night?" Zhong Tingyue murmured, her mind going blank. Her cheeks flushed scarlet at the thought of the hazy memories. If it were true, it would be just too shameful!

"But maybe not," she muttered, trying to bolster her spirits. She was unwilling to believe that last night’s experience was real. "If something that ridiculous had really happened, why wouldn’t Li Yuan and Weixi be sleeping here?"

Dressed in her pajamas and listening to the rain drumming against the window, Zhong Tingyue tiptoed out of the bedroom, her heart filled with doubt. She had helped Li Yuan pick out this villa and had even personally selected all the furnishings.

As she crossed the corridor and the small living room, her heart rose into her throat. She moved lightly toward the adjacent bedroom. This room, one of the two master suites, had a layout nearly identical to the one she had just left. Its door was ajar, allowing her to peek through the gap and see inside.

Zhong Tingyue tiptoed closer and peered through the narrow opening.
