Chapter 1660: Going to the Underworld

With Safira, the Forsaken Seer who helped Chaos during the Primordial Era, still trapped in Amon’s Guillotine Cave, one of the Seven Calamity Zones in the universe, Kent had already tasked Inaya with bringing her back.

She was among the few who had managed to enter that place and return alive.

So her mission had already been decided long before Kent departed for the star realm.

Had it not been for the incident during her ascension ceremony, she would have already left for that place, since finding Safira and bringing her back would bring Kent one step closer to being free of his heart demon.

"I will be leaving for the Underworld tomorrow."

"Then I will also head out tomorrow."

Kent nodded and turned to Indie.

"I hope you are prepared for the journey. You are, after all, going to inherit your throne as the true ruler of the Underworld."

Indie smiled, her ears twitching like the cat she was.

"I am ready. Only by becoming a queen can I regain my divinity and become a goddess again."

"Very well. Then we leave tomorrow, so prepare yourself."

While Kent planned to visit Nyx, the Queen of the Ninth Level of the Underworld, he also wanted to accomplish a second mission: making Indie, his catkin wife and one of the legendary assassins who fought by his side during the Great War, the Underworld Empress once again.

She had been the true ruler of the Underworld back then, but after her death, the Underworld’s authority was divided among the thirteen Underworld Kings and Queens.

Now that she had returned, she had to reclaim her throne and bring order to the underworld once again.

Plus, Kent needed her help to enter the Underworld without passing through the Underworld Soul River as he had initially intended.

"Can I also come?" Miryssa asked, her gaze meeting Kent’s. "I have awakened the Eternal Nether Yin Body and have already reached the Absolute Stage of Nether Ice. Recently, I can tell that if I can cultivate in a place that reeks of death, I will ascend to the Extreme Ice Stage. So can I come?"

"Of course," Indie replied. "There is a place in the Underworld called the Death Garden. It was where I cultivated my killing intent. Since it has been left untouched for billions of years, I am sure it has already become potent enough to aid you."

Miryssa nodded and smiled.

Kent had no objections. He was merely going there to see Nyx, so whoever Indie brought along was none of his concern.

The remaining time was spent talking, with some of his wives occasionally sucking on his dick. In the end, they spent the entire day and night in the Love Garden.

The next day, Kent, Indie, and Miryssa were ready to head to the Underworld.

Inaya was also ready to head to Amon’s Guillotine Cave.

The rest of Kent’s wives came to bid them goodbye on Planet Lumenore, which was now deserted since the elves had migrated to the tower.

"Be careful in there, Inaya. Once you find Safira, leave immediately and return to the tower. Just tell her Chaos sent you. But if she doesn’t believe you, just knock her out and bring her over.

"If the tower can open there, then make sure to use it well since it might save your life."

Inaya nodded and hugged Indie and Miryssa.

"Take care of him while in the Underworld."

Afterward, she hugged Kent and kissed him. She then hugged the rest of her sisters before opening a void portal to leave.

However, just before she stepped into the void, a bald kid appeared.

"I am coming with you, Big Sister."

"Baldy, what are you doing here?" Kent asked, having already been informed that Baldy and his big brother Han had entered seclusion.

"Big Brother Han sent me to accompany Big Sister. He said Big Sister cannot go alone, so I should come with her."

Kent said nothing and turned toward Inaya, who smiled and nodded.

"Come on, Baldy. I could use the company."

"Okay."

He moved toward Inaya, and before long, they vanished into the void.

Kent said nothing and simply turned toward Indie.

"It’s our turn to leave."

Indie nodded and opened a dark portal, reeking of death. The portal released waves of chilling coldness, the kind that could only be achieved through endless killing.

Kent, who was cultivating the Dao of Evil, felt his core resonate with the energy emanating from the portal. The feeling made him excited. He looked forward to what the Underworld had to offer.

"See you, ladies, later." freeweɓnovēl.coɱ

A few seconds later, he, alongside Indie and Miryssa, vanished into the portal, and it closed behind them.

"Let’s go back and start clearing the dungeons while we wait for their return."

The rest soon returned to the Tower.

[Shore of the River of Styx]

The River of Styx spanned billions of kilometers wide, surrounding the entire Underworld and reaching all thirteen levels. Its vastness, coupled with the resentment dwelling within it, made it one of the most dangerous regions in the Underworld.

When a soul died, it would appear on the shore of the River of Styx, where, depending on its nature and affinity, Grim Reapers would transport it to the level best suited to mold it into an Underworld fiend.

Whenever a person appeared there, it meant they had just died.

However, today, a portal opened and three living beings stepped out, landing softly on the shore. Kent, who was the last to emerge, scanned the vast sea stretching before his eyes, and a strange wave of familiarity washed over him.

’I feel like I have stood here before.’

No memories surfaced, but he instinctively knew he had once stood upon this very shore.

Regardless, he let the thought slide and turned to Indie.

"What next?"

Indie smiled and clapped her hands twice.

"Rise, Yama. Time to get back to work."

Kent felt the sand beneath his feet tremble, and then a wave of decay and death filled the surrounding space.

[Your understanding of Evil Qi has improved slightly.]

Kent ignored the message and narrowed his eyes, watching as ripples began spreading across the surface of the water.

"What is happening?" Miryssa asked, her gaze fixed on the same spot Kent was staring at.

Indie smiled and replied, "You will see in a few seconds."

As the ripples grew increasingly chaotic, the death energy in the atmosphere thickened, causing Kent’s eyes to widen slightly. His evil core rapidly absorbed the energy even as he stood still.

More importantly, his understanding of evil began to broaden. It was as though merely standing there was affecting him.

Suddenly, the topmast of a bone-like pirate ship emerged from the dark waters of the River of Styx. A tan-skinned man clad in tattered trousers and an armless vest stood halfway at the bow, a red scarf tied around his neck and a pirate hat resting lazily atop his head.

As the ship emerged, Kent felt a terrible sense of dread wash over him. Instinctively, he sensed danger from both the ship and the man, but he did not panic.

After all, it was Indie who had summoned him.

Once the ship fully emerged, the man jumped onto the shore and immediately dropped to one knee.

"Greetings, Great Empress. I have awaited your return."

Indie smiled.

"Rise, Yama. I have finally returned, and so, like always, your sleep is over. We have work to do."

Yama nodded and stood up. His dark eyes immediately turn toward Kent. For a brief moment, Kent felt as though the man had read every last thing about him.

A few seconds later, Yama narrowed his eyes.

"It is you."

Kent frowned slightly.

"Have we met before?"
