Chapter 1631: Hierarchy

Kent sat on a small throne formed from Kharvok’s extreme ice. He had created a fortress of ice, and all 44 demigods under Kent’s command sat on smaller thrones.

The one Kent was seated on seemed more regal than theirs.

Yggzrael and the others returned with the 12 demigods from the Eastern, Western, and Southern regions. The mission Kent had given them was a success, so he waited for them to evolve into much stronger versions of themselves.

This was so that all his 44 demigod beast companions would be at their best when danger arrives.

Strangely, one of the demigods from the Western regions, Drakmire, evolved into a monstrous nine-headed Hydra. Each head held so much power that Kent was compelled to make him the fifth strongest in his legion.

This decision was reached because he could sense an untamed power hidden within Drakmire, one yet to be unleashed. Shockingly enough, he was also struck dumb when Crimson managed to learn Absolute Sword Energy in just three weeks and two days.

That pushed his power to the third-strongest, making Kent very happy.

Now, in his legion of 44 demigod beasts, [Nexorphis], the one with the ability of space and time, ranked first. And that was before Kent formed the contract with her and helped her awaken her bloodline and innate body.

Kent knew deep within him that a battle with her would end badly for him. It wasn’t because he was weak; it was more like Nexo’s abilities were strange.

Now that she had awakened her innate body and bloodline, three more affinities were added, making her more powerful than even Kent could comprehend.

Aside from [Space] and [Time (Time Distortion)], she also had an affinity for [Void], [Cosmic Darkness], and [Reality Corruption].

She could use the void to move, darkness to hide her presence, and reality corruption to infect the very reality around her opponent, rendering them at her mercy. If she wanted, she could devour all gravity in a space, making her opponent lose their balance.

But as if that wasn’t enough, she could also shift five seconds into the past and move the same into the future.

While exhausting, since she had yet to comprehend and develop Chrono Essence or Time Essence, the current her could move five seconds into the past and attack, or move into the future and do the same.

Aside from that, she could skip time or loop it, making an event play out over and over until she got the results she wanted or ran out of energy.

She had several other abilities that Kent found alluring. This made him wonder just when he would awaken Symbiosis so he could use some of these abilities himself.

The second strongest was [Ixeron, the Mind Flayer].

His abilities involved mental manipulation and illusion. Kent was taken aback when he learned that the monstrous octopus-type beast he had formed a contract with was merely an illusion made real.

According to Ixeron, his mind, which he referred to as his [Thought Core], resided in a hidden dimension far beyond where anyone could reach. He said he had over a hundred cores, 99% of which were fake.

However, to reach the true core and kill him, one would have to destroy the others, which he described as impossible. It would require someone with superior mind cultivation to attempt that.

Upon learning this, Kent thanked his lucky stars that this monster had chosen to submit without a fight. He wouldn’t have won the confrontation, no matter how monstrous he was.

So, having him submit and become a part of his beast legion made him extremely happy. ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com

The third strongest had now become Crimson after he learned Absolute Sword Energy (Intent + Aura). He earned his place, and that alone made him a worthy lieutenant in Kent’s opinion.

The fourth strongest was [Kaldrex, the Chained King]. From what Kent discovered, these forbidden beasts currently had access to 50% of his strength. The other half had been chained inside his soul sea by a power none of them had any understanding of just yet.

But the nine massive chains binding him had made sure he could only use 50% of his power, which, to Kent’s shock, had managed to make him the fourth strongest.

He wondered what would become of him when his other half merged back with him. Kent didn’t even have to think about the monstrous power Kaldrex could command.

The fifth, of course, was Drakmire, who wasn’t a forbidden beast but a monster in his own right. Yggzrael and the three whom Kent sent couldn’t defeat him. The battle lasted for just 20 minutes, but he defeated all four of them.

Luckily, he was impressed by the power the four demigods displayed, so he chose to join them. With him leading the way, the others didn’t try to resist.

Now, as Kent gazed down at his 44 demigod beasts, especially his top five, he knew the future was bright.

Suddenly, Nexorphis raised her hand to speak, and Kent allowed her.

"Young Lord, I was thinking, why don’t the top four strongest handle the Abominations? We have each become at least 15 times stronger than we were, so defeating them will be possible.

Even before this upgrade, I was able to fight one of the Abominations to a stalemate. I believe we can defeat them."

Before Kent could respond, Crimson added, "Nexorphis is right, Young Lord. I can handle one of them, and I am sure the others can as well. So why don’t you let the four of us handle them?

Since you wanted them dead, we can easily do that. Of course, if we can’t, we will retreat and try again later when we become much stronger."

Kent saw that Nexorphis, Ixeron, Crimson, and Kaldrex had already made up their minds to help. Seeing this, he sighed and nodded.

"Very well, try not to die. While I can bring you back, it takes more soul essence to do so. So be careful." fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com

They nodded and walked away from the fortress. A few seconds after they left, Malgoreth, the Plague Bearer, ran after them.

He caught up a few seconds later. "Take this. The moment you find an opening, clench it; it will slow the Abomination for two seconds. If you can’t kill it within those two seconds, then, well, rest in peace, you four."

After handing them a pill-like item, he returned to the fortress, where his Young Lord was preparing to awaken an ancient evil whose power would soon envelop this world and beyond, spreading evil everywhere.

Unbeknownst to Crimson and the others, Malgoreth had just saved their lives by giving them a part of his core seeds. As the Plague Bearer, Malgoreth was someone who could spread his infectious power everywhere he went.

The four Abominations within the four dungeons weren’t exactly the kind of monsters even someone like them could mess around with.

They would have the greatest shock of their lives when they met them. Thankfully, they had also become stronger, so perhaps they wouldn’t be overpowered from the get-go.

While this was happening, somewhere in the Chaos Layer, a Nine-Tailed Red Fox exuding the power of a Universal God stood behind a large dome that seemed to have trapped 24 demigods, 6 True Gods, and 2 Universal Gods, each a forbidden beast.

"Nuella, what is the meaning of this?" one of the Universal Gods, a rabbit with features resembling a wolf, asked, deadly killing intent oozing from its body.

"What does it look like I am doing? I am preventing you all from entering the Tormented Layer."

"Is your Vagabond Race trying to go against the Forbidden Race?"

The Nine-Tailed Red Fox let out a chuckle. "So what if we are?"
