Chapter 3: In his Domain of temptation
Nathan
My legs instantly froze, locking up so violently that I nearly tripped over my own feet. My body refused to obey my brain.
It was as if my muscles had been hijacked by a foreign, invisible force.
I stood rooted to the spot, trembling, my heart slamming against my ribs like a trapped bird.
Who would have thought that the Celestial Voice would be this powerful?
The author has described it as the most powerful thing in the universe but I didn’t expect it to be this intimidating.
The royal guards rushed over, grabbing me roughly by my arms and forcing me to my knees.
The lead guard bowed deeply toward the throne, his voice shaking. "Forgive us, Your Highness! This omega is a new tribute presented from the outer borders. His name is Seraphel. Tonight is his first night in the palace, and he has clearly not been properly broken or taught his place."
Azriel chuckled.
It was a low, velvet sound that sent a cold shiver straight down my spine because, even though it was the softest thing I had ever heard, I knew how dangerous this man was.
"Seraphel," Azriel repeated, tasting the name on his tongue.
Slowly, deliberately, the Prince of Lust stood up from his throne. The air in the room grew so thick with his black orchid and sandalwood pheromones that several of the kneeling omegas fainted on the spot. He took a single step down the dais—and then, in the literal blink of an eye, he vanished.
I didn’t even see him move.
One second Azriel was ten yards away, and the next, a towering, terrifying presence was standing directly in front of me.
Beautiful. Gorgeous. Ethereal. No word in existence could rival how magnificent he looked up close.
Azriel leaned down, his long silver hair brushing against my flushed cheek. He tilted his head, his nostrils flaring slightly as he took a deep, deliberate sniff of my neck.
The scent of red spider lily and pure omega heat was radiating off my skin, completely unmuted by the palace suppressants.
"Ah..." Azriel murmured, a wicked, beautiful smile curving his lips. "You smell exquisite. Like a pure, untouched white lotus blooming in a field of corpses."
He reached out, his long, pale fingers wrapping firmly around my chin, forcing me to look up into his beautiful crimson eyes. fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓
Beautiful, I thought.
"I will take this one. The rest of you may leave."
My jaw was clamped tight, but my unfiltered mouth couldn’t keep quiet. The sheer absurdity and terror of the situation made me snap. "Let go of me! Look, dude, you’ve got the wrong guy!" My voice came out as soft just as expected after all, Seraphel was the useless omega in this story but having a soft voice didn’t stop me from talking.
"I don’t know what kind of freak show you’re running here, but I am not a white lotus, and I am definitely not letting you take me! Let me go!"
The guards’ eyes nearly popped out of their skulls. The lead guard immediately drew his sword, pointing it at my throat. "Shut your filthy mouth, you lowly omega! How dare you speak to the Prince of Lust with such disrespect? One more word from your worthless tongue and I will take your head!"
"Oh, shut up!" I snapped back, glaring at the guard despite the blade at my neck. "You think I’m scared of you? I’m already dealing with a literal demon prince here, your sword is the least of my problems! And stop calling me an omega, it’s weird as hell!"
The hall fell into a dead, suffocating silence. No one—absolutely no one—had ever spoken to a Deadly Sin, or their guards, in such an unhinged, manner.
The guards looked ready to execute me on the spot.
But Azriel’s grip on my chin tightened slightly—not enough to bruise, but enough to assert absolute dominance.
He let out a dark, delighted laugh. "Feisty," Azriel purred, his crimson eyes glowing brighter as he read the utter lack of traditional submission in my soul. "I like it. It has been a very long time since a toy didn’t immediately dissolve into tears before me."
Before I could utter another sarcastic retort, Azriel’s aura exploded. "Domain of Temptation," he slowly whispered. "Let us find somewhere more... private."
With a wave of his hand, the grand stone hall dissolved. The space tore open, warping reality itself as Azriel manifested his Domain of Temptation.
I gasped as my surroundings blurred into a surreal, breathtaking nightmare.
The cold stone of the grand hall was replaced by an expansive, decadent sanctuary that seemed to exist under a permanent, blood-red full moon. The sky above was a deep violet, dominated by a massive, luminous celestial body that cast a heavy, crimson glow over everything.
We were now standing in a magnificent, open-air pavilion surrounded by a dark, shimmering lake alone.
The water was perfectly still, reflecting the red moon, and thousands of glowing red spider lilies bloomed along the edges, their petals dripping with a faint, magical dew.
Sheer, translucent curtains of dark silk hung from intricately carved jade pillars, swaying gently to a phantom wind.
The air here was ten times thicker than before, completely saturated with the dizzying, intoxicating smoke of burning sandalwood and the sweet, addictive musk of black orchid.
Domain of temptation. Azriel’s Seduction realm.
It was a realm where hidden cravings surfaced, where all emotional restraint was shattered, and where the body was forced to surrender to its darkest desires.
I felt my knees give out entirely, falling back onto a pile of plush, velvet crimson cushions that littered the pavilion floor.
My skin was burning, the heat of Seraphel’s body flaring agonizingly under the influence of the domain.
Azriel loomed over me, the silver crown on his head catching the crimson moonlight. "I like feisty omegas, my little lotus," he said, his voice dropping into a soft, manipulative cadence. "But you must understand... I will not be disrespected in my own domain."
In a flash of movement, Azriel grabbed my wrists, pinning them above my head with one hand. With terrifying ease, he flipped me over, pressing my chest flat against the velvet cushions and exposing the delicate, pale nape of my neck.
"Let go! Seriously, let me go!" I yelled, squirming frantically against the crushing weight of the prince’s body. The silk sheets twisted around my thighs as I fought back.
"I’m telling you, I’m not Seraphel! My name is Nathan! I’m a college student! I was literally jerking off to a book five minutes ago, I don’t belong in this crazy fantasy world!"
Azriel let out a low, vibrant chuckle, entirely unfazed by the bizarre words pouring from my mouth. He leaned down, his warm breath brushing against the highly sensitive skin of my neck, right where my scent gland was pulsing with sweet, desperate pheromones.
Seraphel’s body was getting affected by him, and he already felt it through his Desire Perception.
"It does not matter what name you call yourself, little lotus," Azriel whispered, his lips brushing against my skin as he began to trail slow, agonizingly hot kisses up the side of my neck, making my entire body shiver and whimper against my will.
"I won’t remember, but for tonight, you are mine," Azriel purred darkly against my skin, his teeth lightly grazing the throbbing scent gland. "So do well... and be my toy for the night."
