Her reply was barely audible.

The Duke sat on the edge of the pool, his deep purple robes hanging open. He watched the young female hiding in the water, his voice thick with desire.
"What are you hiding from?"
"...No more," Yu Zhizhi said, her face flushed. The water was scalding, but the rising steam gave her a sense of security.
The Duke chuckled. "We’ve only just begun."

By dawn, she had been carried back to her room.
Yu Zhizhi buried her face in the blankets. Her body ached all over, and she was so weak she barely had the strength to speak.
The Duke, who had always been unmoved by her attempts at seduction, had seemingly opened Pandora’s box. He had taken her again and again in the water, seemingly tireless.
